Textures such as grass, slate, diamond plate. They make me lag a lot. I would appreciate it if you bring back the setting to remove them like we had in Studio years ago.

| Roblox said on a livestream a while back (this was like 2013 or 2014 gheez that was a while ago) that they'd be leaving behind older computers like windows xp and such. so they won't do this idea |

Leaving behind Windows XP doesn't mean not supporting lower end PCs. It just means they won't be working on making Roblox compatible with Windows XP, allowing them to take advantage of certain features newer operating systems have that older ones do not.
It's not an enormous feat to program an option that turns off brick textures. It's just a matter of actually getting someone on the team to do that, as this is not a pressing matter, but rather more of a quality-of-life thing. |

No, just no. I have GT 520, it's about 30 Dollars, I run most of the games at 40+ FPS in 10 Graphics.

textures dont make you lag, on settings if the graphics level is set to minimum then the bumpmapping, reflections and all that are disabled, meaning the only thing the game is using is about 20mb of ram for textures

Why are you opposing me? I can't get a new computer otherwise I wouldn't be using this one right now.

Is this going to hurt you in any way? The default will still be to show textures. There will be a switch for it. That's all.

@Borsy
Where do you find all those settings in studio (if they are even in there)? |

@vitya all were saying is that roblox has confirmed they are going forward in terms of computer power. If you get left behind then its extremely unfortunate, as roblox won't do anything |

well, you kind of answered your own question, UPGRADE Windows XP Stinks, the best you can do is go into options and turn your graphics quality to the lowest it can be Hope this helps

you'd save only like 20mb of RAM which is nothing, disabling textures wouldn't do anything. if 20mb of ram is such a huge deal for you then delete the textures from files

1. get a better OS. xp sucks for roblox, or if your computer can't because of specs, switch to ubuntu or linux.
2. update all peripheral devices/clear cache.
3. hopefully better? |

there IS a reason it shouldn't be added it's useless and pointless what will you do with the 20 mb extra ram? open an image?

"it's useless and pointless"
You don't understand the trouble. You've never ran roblox on a laggy PC before, have you? I live this way. I lag everywhere I go. I can't even play CSGO. Not just that, remember agario? I lagged there too.

@Borsy
If it's detailed textures with bump maps, lighting, etc. yes it can definitely have an effect on lag. SmoothPlastic is a lot easier to render than Ice or DiamondPlate. |

| It can still cause lag with a bad GPU (and Windows XP :/). It's negligible for most computers but it can mean a lot to someone. |

it can't cause lag it's just transforming an image and drawing it on screen
