Following Frost Clan's Example

What if in a theoretical reality, most major clans took FC's example and created entirely unique weaponry/play style for their bases and refused to compromise on a 'norm'.

Would you think this would be a reasonable way for clans to work and be an enjoyable system to participate in?
Would you think this would possibly be viewed as a negative outcome, and blamed for a downfall of clans?

The questions are intended to be open-ended. I want to hear your views.

I understand your point here but if more clans had more unique weapons a few things could happen
A.) they could never get raided and called unfair
B.) it could bring diversity of weaponry and innovative ideas to the clan world
C.) Nothing will change

i think it would be cool

frost bows arent that far off from guns, you need aim and it does splash damage.

if all clans were unique, every war and raid would be a new, fun experience (assuming they're following our example and not doing anything to win)

you're essentially debating conformity v individuality

I answered your question on why following a norm leads to stagnation and actually things being worse for enjoyment?


how boring would it be to go to a fort knowing it'll be rcl

and raiding a new clan to change absolutely nothing in gameplay other than a new map?

I think innovation in a sense breeds prosperity. For example, some of the greatest periods for clans/the clan world was when clans were original, had innovative ways of recruitment, propaganda, etc. This also included things such as vehicles, new things in bases (Passcodes for doors and such), and so much more. Now, your average base is pretty much the same.

Look at how standardized the clan world has become and look at the clan world's current state. With the standardization of clan ideals focusing on winning rather than creativity, originality, enjoyment, activity, etc., the clan world has become a place where wars cannot start, stop midway, or clans just gave up because they didn't want to deal with all of this poisonous stuff.

Straying away from the standardization of clan values, I think looking at the tech itself is important. If clans are all the same, is this something that would draw in new members or hold the interest for current members? Personally, I find the clan world to be extremely dry, especially with fighting the same old people that hop from war to war. The majority of bases are just not enjoyable because people seem to forget that ultimately, winning isn't everything.

Also, I'd just like to say that while frost bows are creative and innovative, I think they aren't too far off to the point where its unbearable. I found them really easy to adapt to as a previous gun fighter.

hey man coming from a sword fighter turned gunfighter turned rusty, frost bows are pretty fun and not hard to use

if you can't get kills with the bow or at least damage people

you need to go to the doctor
