| We have won games, we haven't won games in regular time but you can't say "Portugal hasn't won a game.", considering that we technically have, 1 in ET, 1 in Penalties. |

too bad winning on penalties means nothing since it is a lottery.

| Technically winning games on penalties is not winning a match. Sorry |

| If you consider scoring penalties and free kicks a trait to become the greatest player in the world.. i mean i guess ronaldo fits |

its a win
"Portugal goes on to the next round" That means it's a win
if Real madrid or Barcelona don't beat somebody in Uefa champions league finals and goes to extra time or penalties and wins from there that means they lost? |

No team should be credited if they only win in penalty kicks.
Penalty are a complete guessing game and could easily go the other way. |

this is how u dont know football, u do realize the reason we won that game was because of Renato Sanches and Pepe, if it wasn't 4 them, we wouldn't had went into extra time and would had lost. |

Well then lets see how portugal plays without ronaldo.
If they didnt have to triple mark ronaldo then their defense would be two times as strong. |

Portugal already plays without Ronaldo.
I didn't realize he was in the squad until the Hungary game and he was terrible against Poland. |

| while penalty kicks are not a lottery at the high school level because you can tell which way players will take their kicks by looking at their knee as they run up, at the professional level players can hit the ball so weirdly that its a complete lottery and basically u pray that you go the right way |

Ronaldo has never scored a free kick in the euros in over 34 shots |

"You were lucky to get out of the group."
i heavily, heavily disagree
portugal were rather very unlucky have you seen the goals they've conceded against hungary? the amount of times they've hit the woodwork? |

I hardly think they were unlucky.
None of their players showed up when they had to. When you look at their group stage matches as a whole and how they took their chances, they were fortunate to get through the group, considering how well Hungary and Iceland performed, not to mention Albania; who only missed out on progressing by their goal difference.
(I cannot speak for Turkey, however, because I didn't see any of their matches.)

ok they've gotten to the semi-finals now and they still haven't won a game in regulation so they're actually lucky, not unlucky
they're obviously not gonna win the whole thing though |
