The following is a list of laws that are to be enforced in all games within the Empire. The armed forces will themselves act as a police force within the cities, and Imperial Guard within the Court.
Section A:
I. The Sovereigns word is the law of the Empire and cannot be questioned by its citizenry.
II. The Majesty Emperor is the body of power directly below the authority of the Empress and her Consort. They are to enforce her law and will.
III. All complaints of corruption are to be dealt with by the Lord Chancellor of Justice. Murder and other crimes committed by the 3rd Estate are to be dealt with by the military police force and judges.
IV. The armed forces are expected to maintain order in the cities of the Empire, the authority of the armed forces over civilians is final unless overruled by the Empress or Lord Chancellor of Justice.
V. The Law of the Crown applies to all territories of the Empire. Lords may have regional laws within their states and provinces but these regional laws can not contradict the Law of the Crown.
VI. Every citizen regardless of rank is subject to the law and must be reported for abuses of power or for committing crimes against fellow citizens.
VII. Jail time for criminals should not exceed 10 minutes.
VIII. Harassment of citizens will be dealt with by the Lord Chancellor of Justice as appropriate to the severity.
IX. RK'ing will be dealt with by the Lord Chancellor of Justice, armed forces or Imperial Guard.
Section B:
I. Foreigners may not be permitted weaponry. Only serfs+ may carry weapons on them. If a foreigner is caught with a weapon they are to be dealt with immediately.
II. Foreigners must join a House in order to gain citizenship within the Empire. Leaving a House is classed as desertion and is punishable as a crime.
III. Unless granted Citizenship status, serfs remain in their rank unless they become a Military person, pope, apprentice or servant.
Section C:
I. The Imperial Guard is to protect the Empress at all times. If she is absent then they protect the Emperor.
II. The Imperial Guard is permitted to give orders to all those ranked beneath them, which are unquestionable unless overruled by the Sovereign.
III. The Imperial Guard must be in uniform at all times.
These laws are to be followed at all times and anyone who breaks them must be dealt with appropriately.
