| I'm a little nervous about auto-failing in the parallel parking (if you hit the curb or poles [not really as nervous about hitting the poles] you auto-fail) but reversing 50 feet in a straight line and neighborhood driving shouldn't be that bad |

| Yes for some reason they want to see that you can back the car 50 feet in a straight line which is really stupid because you can just take your foot off the brake and let the car roll backwards and it counts |

"I'm a little nervous about auto-failing in the parallel parking (if you hit the curb or poles [not really as nervous about hitting the poles] you auto-fail)"
if you hit the curb or pole, you don't deserve to get your license, sorry the parking zone is massive, and you have to try to actually fail
"Yes for some reason they want to see that you can back the car 50 feet in a straight line which is really stupid because you can just take your foot off the brake and let the car roll backwards and it counts"
never had to do that |

I mean I'm just nervous about hitting the curb. I've never hit the curb in any of the 6 or 7 times I've practiced parallel parking but I feel like I'm going to mess up in my step-by-step routine and I'm going to scrape the curb
The rearward visibility in my CR-V isn't great at all so I'm going to have to rely on a God |

@kobe Yes and my car has a backup camera and if the officer sitting in the car with me during my test thinks that my eyes have even gazed across the backup camera display for a half-second I auto-fail
God damn it |

| I mean to parallel park the only time I actually would use the backup camera is when checking how close I am to the pole behind me because the rear window in this car is so tiny but I guess I can see the pole anyway |

| You should just cover it up with something just so they don't try to accuse you of it. |

| I went on drivers ed dot com, did the first 6 hours of a 32 hour course, they mailed in a "Certificate of Partial Completion," and then I went to the local Texas Department of Public Safety megacenter near my house and took a written test to get my learner's license |

DPS = DMV just two different ways to name the same agency |

| Idk some people think it's cool to call it the "Department of Motor Vehicles" which is really stupid because the TxDMV doesn't do anything, environmental regulations/studies are done by the TCEQ, driver's license assessments and the Texas State Troopers are part of the TxDPS, and individual contractors build all roads/freeways under local city/TxDOT/USDOT supervision |

"do you know how to drive stick?"
I understand the concept but I've never actually done it before so I can't give you a full "yes" or a full "no" on that one |
