i'm currently a topman concessions manager but only as a temp, but my area manager likes me a lot so he wants to give it to me permanently
he will pay me £7.50 p/h on a 38 hour contract, so I'd get 1,100-1,200 a month (keep in mind I'm only 17) he also says this can rise the older and better I get at the job due to experience and whatever
however i want to go college and complete a business qualification, but not go to uni
what do you think? i dropped out of college once, so I'm uncertain |

no point in the business qualification if you're not going to uni as it'd only get you into jobs that you're currently in now
stick with the job really, it's not bad and can open you up to further possibilities and gives you the experience people want to see, rather than grades.

Whatever you do, open up an investing account and put 10% of your income into an INDEX TRACKER FUND like the FTSE100 (risk diversified over many stocks) straight as you get it. Keep doing this every time you get paid in in 30 years you'll be rich no matter what income you're on.
Hope this helps :). |

roblox is the bext place for advice
and i kinda see it as that tbh @hope, but it's worrying because idk if other jobs in future that i want to do would take me
but as you said, practical experience is better than a certificate of passing a few exams |

you'd probably have a better chance with experience than grades for the jobs you seek
multiple people fresh out of uni are turned down by people who pick experienced members into their company
how the world works now really

To be honest over a 30 year period stuff like the EU referendum does nothing. We're due a recession anyway so I'd start investing after an official worldwide recession if you're going to wait.
Look at successful people like Buffet though - they ignore "Macro conditions" because you just can't predict that stuff to be honest.
I'd recommend not doing stock trades because 90% of traders lose 90% of their money in their first 90 days trading - it's gambling with worse odds if I'm honest. If you do decide to do stock trades rather than the FTSE diversify over 5ish+ companies and hold them for the long run is my strong advice :P. |

ok, maybe you should keep the job
the manager likes you so he wants you to stay so i think that should prevent you from worrying about how long you last there

go to college part time and work full time
or do the reverse or save money for a set amount of time then use the money to go to college

Other questions should be do you like the job though? If you do great keep it.
If not there are others that pay better - I'm on Summer break and looking for some work myself now.
Deliveroo in London is £7/hr + tips (which are poop lol but idk maybe £4 extra a day???) + £1 per delivery (You'll probably average 2-3 an hour) so let's say £9.50/hour BUT - If you do it on a bike you'll be super fit (perk) + free meals (perk) + subsidised gym membership (perk). So I'd rather do that.
Other things may be getting a job at a call centre that gives bonuses for hitting targets - if you work hard and hit targets you'll be raking in quite a lot of money for a job that requires no experience.

90% of stats are made up

| Also deliveroo hours are flexible so you can easily do it around college if you choose that option. |
