House member HazardousLeviation has tried to get this pass congress but they have no intentions of preserving wildlife, so I have brought it up in petition form.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1. A new department titled "Firestone Parks and Wildlife" shall be established.
SECTION 2a. Employees of the newly established department shall be recognized as "Conservation Officers", whom shall be tasked with primarily enforcing laws of the State of Firestone pertaining to natural parks and wildlife, and other laws under the jurisdiction of the State of Firestone whilst within their jurisdiction.
SECTION 2b. The jurisdiction of a Conservation Officer will primarily be within natural parks, wooded areas, streams and/or other bodies of water in which can be used for fishing.
SECTION 3. The department shall be headed by one (1) Director.
SECTION 4. Potential applicants for this department must first complete the Firestone Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy.
SECTION 5. Under this new legislation, citizens who desire to fish in streams and bodies of water must hold a valid fishing license.
SECTION 6. Citizens found to be fishing without a proper license can be detained by a Conservation Officer, equipment confiscated, and fined no more than $150 for the first offense. Repeat offenders may have their penalty increased by no more than $50 per offense, and may be subject to imprisonment at the discretion of the Conservation Officer.
SECTION 7. A Conservation Officer may, while on duty, request to see the fishing license of any individual who he may believe might not posses a valid license.
SECTION 8. The Firestone Parks and Wildlife will enforce Sections 5-7 of this legislation.
SECTION 9. This legislation shall go into effect immediately upon passage.
SECTION 10. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. |

"Fishing license"
The dev team are trying to make activities for citizens to make money. Making citizens register for a "fishing license" will only discourage the activity.
Other than that though this is fine.

| I might change the section where you just have to apply for one, instead of buying one. |

I don't see how having citizen register for a fishing license would "discourage the activity." It doesn't have to be complex to register. From what I know, all you need to do here in my region is pay for a license and that's it. Don't forget that this is optional and not all players have to get a pass, only those who find virtual fishing fun.
Well Firestone is meant to be realistic so why not have fishing passes

I said in the chamber, I agree with your proposal of the department, but the fishing licence would be too much work for citizens and not a great reward. Also, it's even worse you want to charge people for fishing without a licence. I support this legislation without the fishing licence.

This is a good legislation, in many parts. I only disagree with one section, and that is Section 5. A fishing license is not necessary, as fishing is basic human thing. We have been fishing for millenia without the need of a liscense to validate us doing so. Why should we need one now? If Section 5 was altered or removed, I would present this to the Senate. As it stands now, I support it save for that one Section.

I support except for the fishing license, maybe change to apply for one or something. Otherwise it has my support.

I still don't get how the wildlife thing would be implemented with development.
Fishing I get, but what if people suggest hunting game
(deer, sheep, lamb, etc)
I don't understand that

also saying we dont want to preserve it is not the way to go, it will get struck down by "the heartless senators and representatives that dont care about wildlife"
