Many people have been saying that the UK leaving the EU is a bad idea. In reality it is actually will be a good thing overall.
The UK hasn't even officially left the EU yet, they still need to get it reviewed and accepted by the commission. so the British Pound dropping in value isn't caused by Brexit. It's caused by people panicking and is a temporary drop in value. It will adjust on its own soon.
The UK will need to make new trade deals with other European countries, it will also be a little harder to travel to other countries in the EU. This is the extent of any negative effects. Ireland and Scotland may also leave the UK, but this was a long time coming anyway.

There's also the two main political parties, Labour and Conservatives, being in some type of meltdown.
David Cameron straight up resigned and so we have no PM until around October, who even then might be someone dumb like Boris Johnson or Michael Gove.
The supposed "£350 million a week being invested to the NHS" was technically a lie and we probably won't see that money being invested at all.
We've put ourselves in a position where trying to avoid a huge economic crash will cost us the equivalent of EU membership for about 40 years.
We don't have a plan yet, which one probably should have been made before the referendum even was voted for.
And the "attempt to curb immigration" claim has also been considered a lie.
So aside from that, yeah. We did good. |
