Now, of course, we are all here, living and breathing each. However, with humanity spanned across our planet, it being both a greatly hated and praised people (by ourselves only, of course) is it not necessary to analyse just what and who exactly a human is, or should be? From the both of history and primal instinct and ability, we are able to decipher immeasurable amounts of information of humanity, but too, as a result, the world around and the true symbolism of humanity. What it truly is and means to be one of us; human. It's a vast world with exceptions and examples and even more exceptions to put together when attempting to conclude any statement of or about humanity, human nature, human instinct, or whatever be your plight of humanity. Such as well is but more beauty to the scenario in that we are each different and varied, while often not the "special snowflakes" that many wish or claim to be, we are all, truly, in some way, different from another. In both noticeable and comparable ways to each human. Such, while shown in most all other species, is something that is most prominent and most evident in humanity and the human struggle. However, despite this, I am, here, wishing to do the best I can do assert the views and morals and ideals and traits and characteristics I am to find associated with humans and, as a result, the primitive and naturalistic human themselves. It is in human nature to question. To question all and each. The world is a question to us. However, much unlike the other beasts whom we share this world with, we have the power and ability to comprehend the struggles of the universe and discover the truth behind these questions. The value of these questions. But most importantly, above each, to find the answers to each individual question we may propose in the timeline of our species and world. This is one of the utmost beautiful and defining characteristics and qualities of humanity and its presence. Questions. Such allows us to "[...] make our world significant by the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers". It, they, are the key to our society and livelihood. Questions. The truest, most pure, most peaceful, but at the same time, most corrupt, twisted, vile, and simply evil beauties to exist. But, the ability to wield, the ability to meld into our whim, our very command, and the ability to transfer our very mind into their presence is the power and beauty that humanity has over the world in regard to questions. The object of a "question" is but another tool in the world for us, as humans, to take control of to craft the world that best suits our universal expanse into the unknown. This is a power innate to being human. Each of us have this ability, many of us may not use it, ever, or nearly so. However, such does not make it void. The mere fact that many may not be willing to open themselves to such a beauty does not make the trait nil, no, but instead, strengthens the bond of humanity to it. With the vanilla question of "What is it to be human?" many of the traits are to be innate, possibly even forgotten or rarely used, such as this one, and thus, are innately and specifically human traits. Naturalistic and primal traits. However, that description is not to make it so that these traits are to be trashed. No, but instead, to be valued, as many are long forgotten, such as this. The value, the power of a question is something so few remember. But how does it relate to humanity? How is it an innately human trait, as I continue to preach? How is it even "beautiful" while it can still be vile, and all of the other descriptive terms I had used for it. How? How is any of this possible? How is any of this human? How is any more than our mere existence being "human"? Those are what I wish to seek. Those are what I wish to explore. Those are what I wish to analyse. Those are what I wish to /answer/. And it all comes together with exactly what I said. Human instinct. Human primal traits. Human naturalistic traits. Humanity itself. What is this? Why, it is a question, of course. We answer this, with a question. We answer a question, with a question. We seek an answer, but instead, we open halls of new questions. We seek to round the string, but mistakenly, and more beautifully, crash it to the ground, allowing it to lay free across the barren floor. That is what we are doing. That is how we are answering this question. With an inescapable series of thought and question. Of beauty. That is how we continue forth towards the future, and how we go into the endless oblivion that is the future and, inevitably, space itself. All with a question. Or, more so, questions. But each step we make is wrought by a question. And each question is wrought by an answer. And each answer by a question. Thus it is, that these questions are the dawn of life and existence itself. How could anything of this sort but a human trait? How could we and we alone as humans posses this ability, power over the entirety of not merely the world, but universe? This, as I said, is why I am here. And, as I said, from question brings question, how I will also answer what it is to be a human. Why is it that questioning and the object of a question itself is a human born ability? An ability, a talent, that comes with each individual human being, granted upon birth? The mind. The human mind is unlike anything ever before seen on this planet. Its ability to comprehend, analyse, express, dissect, connect, and do whatever it takes to find the answer. It is a full kit of tools designed specifically for uncovering any mystery it has set to task itself with. It can take a question and do far more than bobble about until it, by coincidence, stumbles upon an answer, as one may see from an animal. Humans are far more capable than such a failure of an "answer". As stated, the abilities and tools at the mind of a human vastly not only outweighs, but overpowers that of any other being. The strength of the human mind is incomparable. But strength, of course, does not mean it is a feature built into humans. No, it is far more. It is from the history of humanity that it can be seen. That the desire to answer questions can be seen. It can be assumed that, assuming we are to place the first of the humans on an entirely new world where they may live, questions are of the first priority from them. Not only such, I'm certain many will have questions upon first interaction, but instead of simple questions of "where am I" the humans are likely to stumble into an endless abyss of thought and question. "Why am I here?" they may ask, or "How did all of this get created?". The questions that shake the universe and topple over ideals that many have praised for centuries. Questions that no other species could even comprehend. The questions that make humans, well, human. We can assume also that a religion would be created fairly quickly after. Or, anything that allows them an understanding and view and answer of their questions. Something that allows them to find peace with a philosophical concept as deep and old as the universe itself. There, afterall, is no answer to the "why" question that is likely to be proposed. There is no objective "why" as to living. That is to each individual. But the effort and thought and, above all, determination that goes into the human mind to attempt to find an answer to such a question above all is one of its most truest beauties. But it is all in vain, to some extent. As I said, never will there ever be a definitive answer to that question in particular. But I digress here. The importance of this part has play, but will be discussed later, not here. The importance is the question. The "courage" of the questions that are asked, if one would. This is the importance, the humanity of the situation. These questions allow us to roam throughout the world, always improving, always building, always getting better. This is a true human question. The questions that are never to be answered. The questions that push us to the ends of the known universe for answers. The questions that force us to use all the power in our mind to answer. The questions that have the power to control the world. These are the human questions. Why human? They are only questions humans can do. Have done. Will do. While there is a great chance that another intelligent life form asks similar questions, such does not devalue the humanity of these. Does not make it any less of a naturally bound part of being human. To ask the questions that don't have an end. To preserve life until the very end of possibility. That is the human value of questions. But, not only those questions. Any question has value to humanity. As I quoted earlier, the depths of our answers count to. To the simple questions even rabid animals may ponder upon, so shall we, but we will excel in our answers. Do more than they can possibly comprehend. And we have done that. To a question of "How do we live?" in context of surviving the Earth, humans have done the impossible. Dominated. This is, undeniably, a human planet. This is our planet. Not theirs. Ours. This is due to the depth of our answers to the most basic of questions, which, as a result, allowed us to expand to places on the Earth never imagined by animals and humans alike. To a question of "how do we defend ourselves?" animals may have thought to hide, or to use their godgiven parts, such as their teeth or claws for defence. Humans certainly did at the start, but as I said; depth. We have gotten to the point where we are launching devices that force the split and changes of the very elements themselves to destroy our enemies (nukes). This is all due to the depths of our questions. Our human questions. Questions are as much of a part of us as are our arms and feet and legs and whatever part you mention. We are questions just as they are us. But we, just like questions themselves, are answers. Answers to any and everything. That is to be human. That is our human question. But now, we are to move onto even greater parts of the humans. As discussed, questions are certainly a human element. Asking questions is part of being human. But to reach the ends of the questions, be it another question or a finite solution; an answer, there is always a trait that is needed for completion. To see it down to the end of its days. A trait that has been denied to humanity, yet gifted at the same time. A trait many have too much of, or too little. That which carries the world. That which makes a human being a human being. That which is the turning point and power in a battle. That which is the true way to win the world. To win the people's hearts. To achieve one's goals and dreams. The one way to do it. The one way that is more beautiful than anything that has ever existed. Determination. Such a trait is the essence of humanity. Humans are determination incarnate. Just as determination could be described as Humanity incarnate. It is such a beauty that can only be described as us; humanity. The ability to go, to continue, to push forth against all odds with a blind hope and solely a desire to see their future done is something that is almost entirely a uniquely human trait. A beautiful human trait. Even if not by blind faith, the ability to continue forth is still one I have but pure admiration for. Regardless of who someone is, determination is a trait that can allow them to become who they want to be, when they want to be, and how they want to be. It is a force and power equivalent to the powers of a god themselves. It has the ability to completely reform not only one's own life, but the world itself. Arminius works to demonstrate this perfectly. Taken from his land and home. Fighting for a land that is not his own until he starts his rebellion. One started, he wouldn't stop fighting against the Romans until they cease their assaults on his homeland. And he was able to accomplish just that. He stopped the greatest force in all of history. All through strength of will and determination. Human biology itself is something of beauty in that is too shares the factor of determination. We were designed for long, continued, determined hunts. Hunts that could last many days even. Hunts that worked on tearing through the endurance of the prey, stalking them until the die from a lack of endurance and determination. For that of the human will always be greater. And if necessary, the human body, when too low on food, will instead consume its very own body to stay determined. Determination is a naturally included part of the human body. We are all, in some way due to our biology, linked to the factor and concept of determination, regardless of how we individually may feel about it. But that too is another bound part of humanity; individualism. But not to be discussed now. The value of determination is invaluable. That, combined with all of the other elements of humanity, the ability to question, question about all the world without a care as to what it may lead to, so long as they think, they question, they answer. That, with the determination to see their questions to the end, produces a society that is incomparable to any other species we have seen, or even may comprehend. It is the beauty of humanity in its most naturalistic state, no? To never surrender. To always look for their goals, goals that seem like they could never be reached. But the true human spirit doesn't care. It still goes forth towards those goals. It rushes and it flies until its body absolutely cannot any more. It is determined against all else, everything in the world to go. To win. To be what they can be. To be who they are. To be the ultimate individualist. To dream. To question. To be a human. That is the value of determination. It is the skeleton key of life itself. It is a beautiful thing, something that can never be fabricated, for it is only possessed in its truest form, or not at all. It is untainted by the corruption of years upon years of human betrayal. It is a feeling. It can never be struck down. While it may lead to many being so, it, the determination, the feeling itself, it shall never end, it will always be there, forever guiding civilisations, humans, into a new light. The light of the future. Forever bound, but never, and I repeat, NEVER lost. That is the beauty of determination. That is the humanity in determination. Individualism. A concept I have been seen praising several times across by time in the forums. While it is something that is certainly a divided issue, specifically when in contrast to "collectivism" and the concepts of. It is certainly not something for everyone, however, that does not mean that we are each somehow piecing it together with each human. For, it is not in the desires that we have that define our individualism, but in humanity itself. While, yes the concepts of it may not, as I said, be some that all love, we are all each new beings. With new personalities, behaviours, likes and dislikes, goals and dreams, wishes, and a fate for each of us that while normally leading to but the grave, the journey to, however, is NEVER to be the same. Our lives are stories, and no two stories are the same. Ever. Onto the idea of collectivism. While it is a concept that is in complete contrast of individualism, that does not mean that we as humans are not the ultimate individualists any less. All that the idea of collectivism means is that each person has a benefit to the greater good. Less of an individual, yes, and more of a society, one society, a beehive, if you will, but it does not alter the fact that we are each our own being. It is more of a state of mind, something that yes, does have an impact on the humanity of one's self, but not the entirety of who they are nor what they are. They, we, will always be a human. While the thoughts of many may not be their own, they still will be their own individual who has their own rights and choices, and thus, they made their choice to follow the opinions and views of someone else. They are still an individual, even in spite of this and such a choice and action. That does not invalidate their individualism. That would mean that they are unable to even be human, if you are to say they are not an individual. This is precisely my point here. While they may have a collectivist ideology following, they will never be able to discard who they truly are; human. And more than that, the individual human who is representing those ideas. Even if the ideas are calling for the discarding of one's individuality for a "greater good" then there is still an individual making the choice to follow those ideas and give up their being. But their personality, even despite that vow, will ALWAYS remain. They will never truly be a collective, just as we as humanity shall never as well. It is almost of a battle of ideology vs biology. We are born individuals and we will never be able to discard that part of who we are. We will forever be humans, but more so, individuals. But more so, the idea of individualism here too even furthers this. While, yes, it, much like collectivism, is but an idea and not representative of innate human parts and functions, the symbolism behind the idea is one to consider just the same. Humans are some of the only beasts in our known universe that can even have the comprehension of being full and true individuals. Completely free of all the worries of the body of people, but worrying solely for themselves. Infact, this selfishness is something that is often seen when the "flight or fight" kicks in. That will all truly just care about ourselves, or, potentially to some, those emotionally closer to oneself. However, I digress. Onto the idea of individualism that the ideology of such, that all should be with great freedoms, is an idea of an individual that, as said, most species can't even comprehend. It's a beauty to the world. Something that is to powerful on an individual level that it is not even comprehensible to most of the beings that live on this planet, or, potentially, on other planets just the same. It is the power of humanity and the human mind. The power of comprehension and much, much more. The ideas of individualism are great as they focus on the betterment of every individual. Allow each and every person to reach their height of who they are and can be. The power of the idea of the "ultimate individual" which so rarely gets "tossed about" nowadays. Not only the power and benefit, but again, how it ties into the simple being of a human. That we are all capable of individualistic thought. We are all, regardless of what we may try to do to ourselves, or however we may try to restrict our individual parts and beings, will ALWAYS be who we are. Regardless of what I believe, I will always be me, Guestly, my own individual, who I truly am with my own ideals and my own ideas and my own thoughts. While an individual may make choices that gives up their individuality, such as how someone may support an idea, they made that conscious decision to follow the belief and align themselves as an individual with it. And so it is that the true beings and traits of humanity are. Of what it really means to be a human. A human in our, their, or its most bare and naturalistic and primal state. While the connotation with those words may be negative and beast-like, don't have such, for there is nothing wrong with traits that are of the sort. There is no problem whatsoever to be one who does share many of the qualities I listed, for we ALL do. This is what it means to be a human, a human in our barest form, our best, if you will, form. We are as a species free and independent. We are a species who are beautiful with who we naturally are. But what we use this naturalistic part of us for makes us but even more. But greater. A far better peoples than we could have been before. It is the ability of simply being human. To be our very own individual and, regardless of views, to be ourselves. To have our own personality. To be our own being. To believe in what WE as individuals believe in and not to be swayed by tricks of the mind. Such is something that will never happen to us. Or to question everything. To question the world. To question our questions. To question the answers to every question. To question not only others, but ourselves too. The principals of rationalism. To allow our questions to guide us throughout the world and universe alike. To allow us to be expressed by not only the depths of our answers, but also, the COURAGE of our questions. But more than all of this, we need to stay DETERMINED. We need to always have our goals and our thouhgts in mind. We need to never give up on what this is and always force it into existence, even if it is a seemingly impossible goal, a fate. It is all that we must and should do in our time. Now, why, exactly, must we do this? For the exact reasons this post was about. Because doing that is being human. And thus it is so. Why would we do this? To be what we truly are. To be what the world demands of us to be. We need to be humans.
