The entire exclusivity factor is a major reason why our portion of ROBLOX is slowly dying.
Slowly clans are moving from the mindset of just having fun to doing anything to win. One of these tactics to win includes completely secluding your clan from "noobs" by only letting elites in. By doing this you are not only hurting your own clans potential activity, but you are hurting the clan world as a whole.
As a community, we need to be more accepting of new ROBLOX members. Many superclans get attacked for their styles of recruitment such as VIP recruitment & PM botting but in fact they are the only ones that are trying to repopulate our clan world. By trying to move away from the cesspool of RCLers and C&Gers that corrupt our community with these thoughts that if the base members of your clan aren't elite then your clan isn't as good.
This is just my opinion from being around in this community for the past 7+ years though. I've seen basically every generation of clans and there is no doubt that the clan world is a slowly dying beast, but the thing nobody has really pinpointed is the cause of this.
Thoughts? |

FoA wasn't a powerclan under me I'm not quite sure why it changed. I don't necessarily approve but I made Shadow the leader so it's really up to him now.

power clans arent bad to the community, they are a key factor on why many veterans stay in clans

Super clans are more prominent than power clans this year though.
Though Obtention starting a new clan and V O I D returning could change that |

"power clans arent bad to the community, they are a key factor on why many veterans stay in clans"
the latter part of your sentence may be correct but how do powerclans cater to the growth of the clan world?
there are different ways to keep veterans in clans besides creating exclusivity. |

| powerclans should've stayed a novelty like vak or ref. but no, c&g had to copy them every 5 minutes and fill the clan world with them. |

FoA isn't a power clan. If anything they are a super clan. The standard of capability matches that of a super clan but is just not based on member size. It used to be that Super clans functioned like Vak High rally rate very active and good all around
Power clans are generalized as RCL and extremely only good people can join While a regular clan is defined by the functions of say VS Though they are large they do not perform well against say a clan like FoA

| Power clans are not as big though, there's only 2 in my eyes that actually matter. I see your point though, the selective nature of a group excludes those who attempt to join our community, but you'll have to realize there has to always be that one elite clan, we've had VAK for years. |

I think they are needed.
VAK has kept the community in line for so long. With big clans thinking they are the best. TGI did too. Now FoA. |

Exactly. There are plenty of ways to cater to both new members & veterans.
If you want to talk about veterans, clans like SC & RAT house a fair # of clan veterans. |

| Steamsport I think you're confused with the terminology, FoA has standards certain people have to meet to join the group, and that defines as a power clan usually. |

People considered FoA to be a powerclan under me but that wasn't the intention at all. Our size was small and we were generally elite and skilled but the only reason we weren't a superclan and had a little under 1k members is because I lacked the means to increase member count

BASICALLY: Stop making selective groups/power clans, stick to larger groups.
Some people just suck at growing their member count though, unfortunately. |

Many lower skilled players do join VAC and FoA actually.
Powerclans are useful in becoming a better gunfighter as you are fighting other good people and powerclans tend to host more raids.

yes we have, just 1 of those clans though. ref, and then vak. why people decided to copy vak all of a sudden is beyond me. |

| Regardless, the clan world is failing in the superclan aspect as well. The genre has been oversaturated with World war II and Starwars to the point that they are drowning out all of the decent clans with good tech and original ideas. |

Also FoA has a simple way of entering. We could even remove it for the first rank and require it for you to get the second rank by adding a rank that is like a "trial rank" to gain members that are newer to roblox but are capable to do the basic standards.

That's still a standard...?
Not really a hard one to live up to, but how was I wrong stating that? |

In my mind we've just been going through a powerclan phase, which is why a lot of superclans have been shunned for their recruitment techniques.
However, it looks like the community is drastically improving.
I don't think powerclans are the problem, I think the ridiculous desire to win and willingness to use any trashy technique is the problem. These were started by powerclans, yes, but superclans started to do the same in order to compete.
All in all I don't think it's a specific group in general that's to blame. As long as we're all focused on enjoying ourselves, the community should thrive. |

Oh thought you meant a standard skill-wise, cause that's very untrue we allow plenty of lower tiered people join
I mean look at how bad Steam is.........
