When you see something like this 4/11 do you think of 4 over 11 (fraction), 4 divided by 11 (division) or something else?
What if you saw it like this? wait(4/11)
I'm curious what other people think of / |

| if I saw it in a wait, I would think the person is dividing |

| although a fraction is just showing division, so it's essentially the same thing. |

@F18 that's my point, I always think of it as 4 divided by 11 instead of a fraction, but when I see 4 -- 11
I think of a fraction even though it usually means division. |

Well, not really
1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 (or 1/3*3) could give you two different outcomes. Lua would say 0.999... but fractions would say 1 |

| Why don't you go read that thread again and see why you're wrong and stupid. I never said 0.9... is not equal to 1 |

you said 0.000...1 is not 0 which follows the same logic as 0.999... equalling one
also look at this stupid thing you said
"Chuck has to walk from point A to point B which is 1 KM away He notes down how far he has left after he's walked half way from his current position to point B His notes look like this: .5 (1/2) .25 (1/4) .125(1/8) approaching 1/inf
And so on. That's more or less what's happening here. It's not 0, it's just an infinitesimal. The probability APPROACHES 0, but it's NOT 0."
by this logic Chuck will never reach point B, but obviously he does
the same way that there is a 0% chance for the thing OP is tryna do with his tables happening an infinite # of times |

I don't need to argue with you. You proved your stupidity when you said: 1/x will meet the axis "you're stupid, you can only reach a finite number on your calculator, so you can never see the point where it meets the y axis" |

you proved your stupidity when you said chuck will never reach point B because of your incorrect logic
also
how the hell do you agree that 0.999... is equal to 1 but not that 1/x will meet the y axis? you're opposing your own views |

"you proved your stupidity when you said chuck will never reach point B because of your incorrect logic" The logic is fine, except that in real life you cannot walk an infinitesimal amount of space. Mathematically speaking he will never reach his point.
"how the hell do you agree that 0.999... is equal to 1 but not that 1/x will meet the y axis? you're opposing your own views" Because they're 2 different concepts. |

"Mathematically speaking he will never reach his point."
clearly you have no idea what you are talking about, so idk how u are arguing with me about infinity
"Because they're 2 different concepts."
nope it's exactly the same concept

| At this point I'll just assume you're a troll if you really think you can plugin a number for x in (1/x) and get 0 (touches the x-axis) or some magical number that makes it touch the y-axis. |

| That magical number would be 1/0 (which is not defined) by the way, since it touching the y axis would mean x = 0 |

since u obviously don't know what the hell you are talking about, please do educate yourself
first, you can watch the video about infinity on the youtube channel Vsauce
and then go and search up Zeno's paradox
then once you've done that hopefully you can see why you are wrong because you obviously fail to understand |
