i try to make the server do most of the work. currently the only local script i have is to fire a remotevent with UIS input

Any and all client-server communication poses security risks, of course, it's just how minimal.
With FE disabled, anyone with the power of Google and harmful intentions can mess up your place. With FE enabled, it's still possible, but more difficult. With FE on and a keen understanding of the client-server relationship, you can protect your game by NEVER trusting the client (local scripts) and ALWAYS performing double-checks on the server to make sure that anything the client sends isn't bogus.
