"For us it's not about specs, it about content." He never said anything about the NX, he was talking about Nintendo as a company.

Nintendo is making NX... If they don't care about Specs then NX will have horrid specs as well. It's obvious that NX will have horrible specifications.

thye might use cartridges as it rumoured that the nx is both mobile and a console (kindof like the wii u but you can bring the gamepad anywhere)

as long as you put discs in their box when you're not putting them in your console you don't get this problem |

"as long as you put discs in their box when you're not putting them in your console you don't get this problem" Exactly. Me and my 2 sisters thought putting discs inside cases was "too much work" ya...there were discs everywhere

Yes, being a hybrid, having third party support since a long time, and being a powerful console are all horrible specifications.

@thrift: Those are not Specifications. I am talking about Hardware Specifications.
"Powerful Console" is an assumption, and one that is Baseless since Nintendo themselves have just Said "we are not about specs". This is a PR line to soften the blow when NX is underpowered compared to the rest of the Consoles, no doubt.

In that case, if your talking about hardware, I already said the NX will most likely have third party support..

"discs can hold more storage, allowing for better games"
Not true, while older cartrages had garbage space allotments, CDs today can barely hold 9GB and 512MB of data utilizing it to the max.
Basically if this cartrage is essentially a long-lasting but fairly large SSD crammed in to a reasonable space and doesn't have the very fast data rot that modern SSDs have (dont ever leave an SSD with data on it for more than a year, you'll brick it if it never gets power.)
Nintendo's discs are designed by themselves + Panasonic, and have up to I believe 25GB of max storage space.
this might actually be good, having ~64GB - ~128GB of storage space. NX will really need the improved storage space.

? Third Party Support doesn't necessarily equal "powerful hardware". They may well be hoping to Go for the "Non-fancy Graphics, appealing Aesthetics" path.

| i never said anything about it being powerful in my last post, the whole reason Nintendo didn't have a big third party support was due to the unfamiliar hardware and coding. (Nowhere did I say anything about coding, spare me) |

"Scratch a cartridge, lol fail troll"
Heck, one of my DS cartridges went through the washer, and I found it before it went into the dryer, and it still works to this day. I also found one in the attic with melting marks on the sticker, plus some of the plastic on the top of the cartridge was melted. But I cleaned it, and it worked, and it also still works. So they can survive way more than a scratch.
