I imagine it would be a slightly faster firing slightly lower damage and accuracy version of the desert eagle we currently have I'd use it

M1911 have terrible armor pen in real life, so he would need to lower the damage a lot, but he could probably boost its max carried ammo to counter it.
I always love the deagles in shooting games because if they were more accurate to real life, you would barely hit anything because of its terrible weight and heavy recoil. Plus the ammo are really really expensives and so is the handgun itself. |

@BLOC Who says that 9mm has good armor pen? Who says buckshot has good armor pen? Who even says .44 magnumm has good armor pen? What I'm saying is this game isn't really focused around body armor.

| If you want a 45ACP then ask for something other than the M1911, the handgun is terrible and hardly even use by any kind of military group today, so in Phantom Forces it would either be garbage or so far from the real life counterpart it could fits into another handgun. |

"If you want a 45ACP then ask for something other than the M1911, the handgun is terrible and hardly even use by any kind of military group today" all the wat the 1911 was retired because the frames were wearing down with use and NATO selected 9mm to be the standard pistol round instead of .45 ACP besides, some marines and spec ops units disliked the M9 and managed to hang on to their 1911s
"so in Phantom Forces it would either be garbage or so far from the real life counterpart it could fits into another handgun." ??? who says that? it could still be a good handgun

The 1911 is kinda outdated.
If you wanted something in .45 id suggest the HK45. |

"Who says buckshot has good armor pen?" shotguns are more effective than games portray them |

"shotguns are more effective than games portray them" true but the fact remains that most shotgun shells are soft lead that simply disintegrate upon contact with body armor and the steel buckshot doesn't carry enough energy per pellet to punch through body armor

It's still a lot of force and sure as hell something to be reckoned with But not to mention that shotguns can be loaded with other types of rounds (even the nonlethal beanbag shells can be easily deadly)
The only gun I want to see in pf is a Vector CRB/SBR/SDP |

have you ever handled a 1911. The thing weighs as much as a small child and if you get it dirty oh boy get ready for springs flying everywhere when you try to clean it. The pistol isnt bad by any means but there are better options. |

" it weighs like 3 pounds besides, the weight helps with recoil management also what kind of klutz are you, there's only about 5 springs in the entire gun and none of them are like the microscopic springs found in the M9

Ok yeah the M9 is a pain to deal with.
Im just saying there are better options than the 1911. Firearms technology has progressed in the last 100 years. Also a lot of 1911s do not like hollow points. I have a really nice Kimber 1911 before Kimber went to crap but i still enjoy shooting the more modern FNX45. |
