Citizens of the United States of America,
I bet you've never wondered, or actually cared for that matter, what the Human Services part of the Department of Health and Human Services entails. By definition, it is 'the objective of meeting human needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base, focusing on prevention as well as remediation of problems, and maintaining a commitment to improving the overall quality of life of service populations'. While the previous administration focused primarily on improving the activity of paramedics, they lacked completely the skills that were required to promote a healthy, public image as well as produce a thriving center for citizens to seek the services they desired.
First of all, it should be known that DHHS should not be considered anywhere close to an EMS-type agency. It is a federal department, and therefore would be treated as such. One of the primary jobs of DHHS would be physical protection of the hospital. Security is key when it comes to defending the hospital from attacks against its patients, as well as abusing the contents and supplies that are sold/produced there. Citizens should feel safe, and protected if/when they come to the hospital as a safe-haven.
On top of security, DHHS would also be the primary units to track down those who are abusing or are in possession of illegal contraband. As the defenders of the health and safety of every individual and citizen, DHHS will work to contain those who are under the influence to protect the person from damaging themselves, and from hurting others. This responsibility would simulate the duties of the Food & Drug Administration. The FDA may also serve as the health inspectors who review and observe the employees of local businesses.
The final responsibility that DHHS would have, would be related to Civil Rights; it the DHHS Office of Civil Rights. DHHS will inform, instruct and educate citizens about their civil rights and how to take action when those rights are taken away in any way, shape or form. DHHS would stress the HUMANITY and diversity of each individual citizen, and would take action if/when the rights of another have been hindered due to race, gender, orientation, and belief. DHHS is there for each person, and would stop at nothing to allow each person to experience a successful career in the United States of America.
Thank you for Reading!

@David I don't want to be Secretary... I just want DHHS back. We need someone to defend citizens at DC right now... there is a lot of crime and death.

@Koli You didn't even read through what he said then, DHHS has little to do with the hospital, that's an EMS job, he suggested that.
Support, just try not to make EMS irrelevant.

DHHS had no purpose when it was still official. Along with that, healing people is the job of the EMS.

@disn But that's the point... the way DHHS was being run gave it no purpose, I believe if you give it another chance, DHHS would find itself in a better position.

If DHHS started up again, you are saying it would magically find a role in NUSA? I'm not trying to be rude, but do you see how your argument is flawed?

@disn In all due respect, I never implied anything would occur 'magically'... However, there is currently no administrative body that manages and organizes these EMS services; let alone any type of EMS at DC. The point is, there is nobody to provide medical services to the people at DC. The District of Columbia is the home of the Federal government, and so now that DC is somewhat active there is no reason for any agency to claim that there is no reason to patrol DC. Ergo, DHHS could be implemented; in short.

A bill to give DHHS administrative power over the medical services failed Congress. It is unlikely it will pass as most of the Representatives that nayed it are still in Congress.

in all complete honesty the DHHS' purpose isnt what it was made to be back then running around and being EMS
DHHS is more to regulate healthcare related issues
thats what it shuld be brought back as
i mean im not in nusa anymore
but i definitely think it should be brought back if it sticks to regulatory duties instead of running around healing people
