To JC:

There was a point in my life where I had more than a great deal of time to dedicate to JC. Many of you have learned over the past few weeks that that is no longer the case for me. After having gone through so many battles to retain this group, I now battle time to fulfill what I have dreamt for this group.

Despite all of this, I am not here to bring you despairing news and tell you how much more important my life has become. I am not here to announce that I am quitting ROBLOX or that my road in JC has ended. I am not going to excuse my inactivity for what happens IRL, I would not be doing right by anyone by sitting idle. I will do everything in my power to employ the right people who will work the most effectively in times of my absence. Many of you have followed me and fought by my side for years; I owe it to you for sticking with me in our hardest times. It's time for me to return the favor. I will finish what I have fought for.

I am here to make fun for you, to electrify and excite you to be part of this group. I am here to innovate, to change how we fight, how we train, how we patrol, and how we interact with each other in this ‘army’ … I am here to set a model for clans to follow. I am here to tell you how JC will move forward. I am here to convey to you what I have envisioned for JC, to set this in stone for the young leaders to come.

But before I do this, I want to take care of something that has bothered me lately. Do not forget your honor. I understand the fury that unravels when we lose defenses. We have lost many, and we will lose many, but do not let this anger push you to throw away honor. Do not let this anger consume you, either. If invaders have captured our homeland, then use this anger to invade back. Do not allow losing (and losing so much) warrant unfair base updates. We don't need to win all of our battles; that is not the important bit. What is important is that you are having fun. Do not allow the status quo of clans distort how you have fun.


Let's get to the juicy bits now.
As an innovator, this is what I will be working to bring to JC:

- A new name. Quite possibly the hardest to adjust to, but I believe it is necessary to advance JC. JC has a very rich history, one that many will remember. However, we must not get so carried away as to over-romanticize the past. I do not want our history to linger over the heads of newcomers who never got to enjoy our history. Let them make peace with new history and let them create their own. We need to start off with a clean slate and fresh ideas. This is not 2012 anymore.

- A new entrance course to the group. No dumb obby. Newcomers will enjoy a walkthrough of our lore, combat system, and basic rules of the group. It will inform you of everything you need to know in order to progress through the group in an immersive fashion. We will not be posting walls of text. We will be using audio and spatial UIs to create a story for you as a new recruit. Remember the first time you played Battlefield or COD and the game ran you through a quick tutorial? An introduction along the lines of that.

- We are abandoning long forum guides. Everything informational will be available to you in video format.

- Say goodbye to recycled RCL and SMG scripts that have polluted clans. Our guns will be projectile based. This means they will have bullet drop and each gun will have effective, varying stats. The guns will adopt a third person over-the-shoulder camera.

- Customize your weapon with modular attachments and skins. Give your player an RP name (optional), and improve your faction (more info on factions below). All your stats should save through all official group-related places using ROBLOX’s universe system. Compare your stats with others by taking a look at the global leaderboard. Faction leaders will find this a vital tool in recruiting members.

- An all new city- our homeland. This is the central hub for hanging out, recruiting, defending, raiding, looting, and roleplaying in faction roles. The city will be divided up by districts controlled by three power factions within the group. More to be released on the city later.

- An all new faction system to JC where factions will be able to compete with each other for power and prestige throughout the GROUP and the CITY. Each faction will have its own forward operating base (FOB). This will be connected to the universe system we will have in place. Members of each faction can scour the city looking for materials and resources to expand and strengthen their forward operating base. When the main group is at peace, factions can interact with each other by initiating in peace treaties or war. Factions will be able to raid each other's’ FOB.

- The main army will not fund weapons and vehicles to factions when they wage war with each other. Factions need to supply their own weapons and equipment. This means that factions need to scour the city and take home any resources and materials they can find. At the FOB, they can spend their resources to have guns and vehicles built. They can then deploy these at raids to use against the enemy faction.The equipment that factions use to wage war on other factions will have life.

- Factions will be ranked on a leaderboard displaying their resource count and how much in-game credit they earn from their controls in the city. Users will be able to make their own mini factions (upon approval) and potentially overtake the power factions. Prestige, contests, and medals will also be displayed for factions.

- Members of the group can be honored with medals, signifying their honors in-game with badges and privilege to restricted locations in the city.

- We will recognize two modes. Wartime and peacetime. Wartime is a period where our clan is facing threats from other clans in the clan world. During wartime, all factions unite under one banner to fight off other clans who initiate war with us. During peacetime, we will not be at war with anyone. All factions will resume interaction with each other and initiate in peace treaties amongst themselves or wage war for spoils. In other words, the message we are sending to clans is simple. When we are not at war with any clan, the group will focus on its RP elements. This will allow us to break free from depending on war for activity and fun, as long as we provide our members things to do when we are not at war. This allows us to implement RP elements during peacetime and remove them during wartime.

- Most iconic places in the city will have their own separate and detailed place dedicated to them. For example: the city will harbor a subway. We can’t put too much detail in the city, so the subway will have limited detail. We will create a separate place that expands on the subway in the city and applies more detail. This will be used as a deployment hub.

- Low ranks will be promoted on an automated EXP system (similar to most FPS games). EXP can be earned at the city, trainings, and from raids. There will be a limit put in place to restrict the # of promotions a low rank can receive in a week. Right now, the limit will most likely be a maximum of 2 promotions that can be earned per week. This will make sure nobody is able to grind to a high rank/mid rank in under a week. This ONLY applies to low ranks. Mid ranks and high ranks will be promoted/evaluated on a more personalized basis.

- Most trainings will be automated with various maps and game modes. High ranks can choose to personalize them. Think of Phantom Forces where it uses multiple maps and game modes- instead of FPS, our trainings will be TPS.

- When other clans invade us, they will be required to change their tactics. Raiding the city will never be linear. We will set up 3-4 game modes, where some game modes may entail a particular focus in a district of the city. Each server will be randomly assigned a game mode and that game mode will run until there is a victor. If an attacking team wins, re-rallies, and attacks again, it is more than likely that they will be playing in a server with a different game mode than before. Some possible game modes include conquest or capture the flag- this is not yet set in stone. As defenders, you will be trained to excel in each of these game modes.


All of these will come progressively to JC. We are not there yet. I am reaching out to developers to peak their interests and creativity.

This is the next big project I will be undertaking after JC is running smoothly with a new command. Reforms will take place first, departments will continue, and a new 2ic will be appointed to regulate the group. For the meantime, we will continue to address Fang's issues and balance it out for both teams. It should be out of its beta phase soon.

This thread was a lot to cover and I know there are some things that appear unclear. I will be more than happy to elaborate. :)

If your going to revamp JC, make sure your direction is straight because from I got when I skimmed through is that the direction is as straight as a hedge maze

Will help newer members SO much. Instead of relying on RCLers or good gunfighters to make your clan great. You can use the trash front pagers to do just as well with a system familiar to Phantom Forces

Exactly, that is the exact point I want to achieve by implementing that fighting style.

The big appeal here really is to invite younger players. That, and the fact that there aren't that many 3rd person shooters on the front page- only recently have some really skilled teams started releasing some TPS games. It's catching fire right now and implementing TPS would be perfect here.

Atomic doesn't want anything to do with Fang anymore.

Sole reason why we have the current Fang is because we wanted something new while we work on other things.
