I mean I'm just going to use the same buttons and thumbsticks all the time so do i really need it even though every says "Its the best controllers I ever had!"

no, buy a cheaper, third party controller, no need the equivalent of a game for a controller.

I'd say its worth it, you have programmable triggers at the bottom so your thumbs don't have to leave the thumbsticks. It also has swappable thumbsticks, which makes a huge difference for different games.
