I didn't start out as a pleb, the first metal band I ever listened to was Obscura during winter of 2010. They're still a favorite of mine to this day

Don't get me wrong I love nu metal and all but the closest thing I've really heard to rap/hip hop from Tool was the end of their song Rosetta Stoned. Plus their undertow album was a pretty heavy metal album. Also as much as I love KoRn I highly doubt they would be able to play a Tool song live very effectively were as Tool could probably play a KoRn/a huge chunk of nu metal bands entire albums fairy easily.

Data, I'm a longtime nu-metal fan. I have no issue with people liking it. KoRn is one of my favorite bands.

Not when you're actually following the time signature and trying to play Lateralus or Rosetta Stoned .-. You also rarely get to play along with the drums because they're usually on a time signature of their own.
