"I think all that needs to happen is to start fresh again. Not use members with a previous history. Take it out of commission for a month or two and observe the forums and see who is trusted, and figure out who the big players are when it comes to mming. Look at respectable individuals and pick them. Don't go off legit threads and how people were."
No members in the Legitimates currently. It will stay that way until a group of 4-5 people have proven themselves for the group.
Be observant and figure out who you think deserves to be in the group when the time comes.
I never ask a man what his business is, for it never interests me. What I ask him about are his thoughts and dreams. |

I think you need a group of solid people who are trusted and smart cause you can't ask LMaD whose legit half there choices are people who act legit and not truly are |

@trail it's not literally asking "who should be in the legitimates"
It's looking to see who everyone gravitates to as a mm Looking for a pattern to see "oh, everyone uses what's his name and he's actively doing big deals. After seeing how he is acting he seems respectable and I think he should be put on a list of reliable people who can be referred to."
Versus before, it was all off of legit threads and "who do you think should be in"

That method won't be foolproof either Because that is Drizi, like, to the letter
And Drizi ended up using his "legitimate" status to scam an STF

@nuki that's just asking to invite scammers in it's easier to allow scammers to scam by making a group and shouting "hey! you guys act legit for a month we'll let you join the group!"

@L2k Nothing is foolproof. Anyone can fake something and if that's what they want to do it's their problem to deal with.
Being legitimate is only half the battle in my opinion. If someone isn't respectable and generally a good person, but they are legit? I don't want to use them as a mm.
I get what you're saying, but in life as a general rule that is arguable about anything.

@trail obviously it wouldn't throw scamming reps out the window, and it wouldn't be ignoring time spent on lmad. This is just a general post, I think for this sort of thing soft rules that can be altered to suit the situation are better than guidelines.
But if someone has a million legit threads and the entire community vouches for things they have done, that doesn't mean they get into the legitimates - whereas in the past it pretty much did. That's really what is meant by it.

@L2K - I'll be as smart about it as I possibly can be.

The shame is most people will fall to their temptations after a certain point. Can't say I blame them either. It's the unfortunate circumstance.
Fortunately I'm sure there are a few out there who are still legitimately trustworthy, and those people will pop up soon, hopefully. |

But that's the problem being sketchy and being legit are 2 scenarios you'll have entering w/ LMaDs choice 1m threads means nothing threads in general mean nothing being legit and acting legit are what youll see and you can tell the sketchy ones from the real ones most of the time HOWEVER LMaD is a bunch of naïve and ignorant kids so I find it hard to trust "LMaDs judgement" |

The way I see it, there's a tool already designed to see who's legitimate and who's not that you can use to your advantage
Who's DevExing and how often do they do it?
If you see someone who's accepted to DevEx and he uses it every month or two, then that's someone who's legitimate enough to be in the group
And then it runs the double benefit of that they won't scam because as soon as they do they can't DevEx anymore

"HOWEVER LMaD is a bunch of naïve and ignorant kids"
Most of lmad plays around alot. If being legit=always being serious and doing your job allows time , no one is legit. Most of us are young anyways. No reason to talk like that. |

@l2k, I kind of see several flaws in that though
People can be rejected for very obscure reasons and for the most part that reason is not scamming so that is a very vague way of selecting who should be in the legitimates.
Another reason is what if the person runs out of things to devex but are later asked to MM a big like RS/Astra etc, what is to stop them from just taking it and BMing it for a nice final roblox payoff.

@wayne, i see what you're on about. However if you notice how many Bc to Obc members their are, theirs not many. Aswell as the fact many Lmad'ers probably don't aim to devex soon.

True, but you don't need many people in the group - and the more you get the more there's a chance somebody uses it to scam
And tbh I'd say Zax (who DevExes all the time) is one of the ones ud want in the group
