Welcome to Underwood Law. If you're reading this, you're probably a lawyer working at Underwood Law. Anyway, I present to you a guide on being a lawyer at Underwood Law. Now, lets continue.
[Prosecuting for Clients] As a prosecutor, you will try to earn that guilty verdict! Getting a not guilty verdict shouldn't be to hard for your reputation; it's not every day that a prosecutor wins a case. But whenever I am a judge for a case, usually both sides win in some way.
[Evidence] What's a case without evidence? In Underwood Courtrooms, evidence is presented in a form of a screenshot uploaded onto ROBLOX as a decal. Judges have the right to put decals on the decal boards which are the 2 giant, white boards above the judge. So if you find evidence, take a snapshot of it! And be ready with the decal ID numbers to present as evidence. *This form of evidence is not required for roleplay cases.
[Opening Statements] You are to deliver the opening statement unless you are unable to. Then the judge will. You will state your opening statement in any way but it must follow and/or contain the items listed in this format, examples in parentheses:
-Type of crime (Murder) -Victim (Mr. Smithy) -Time of crime (4:00 PM) -Scene of crime (Smithy Inc.) -Weapon used, if murder case (AK-47) -Any evidence the judge requests during your opening statement (AK-47bullets) -Any other information you'd like to add. (Mr. Smithy was your friend)
[Cross-Examination] The defense will cross-examine the witness, but you have your own cross-examination going on too! You are allowed to, by Underwood standards, technically cross-examine the defense. You can point out flaws in the defense's arguments, obviously, and present counter-arguments.
[Promotions] When you start as a prosecutor, you will begin as a rookie. There are many promotion opportunities, but mostly at training sessions. Follow the rubric and pay attention at training sessions for a good chance of promotions!
[Apprenticeship] As a Licensed, you may begin mentoring other prosecutors of a lower rank.
[Getting Cases] Now whats a prosecutor without cases? Sometimes you're just there because we need someone to prosecute someone. Anyway. To be assigned cases, a client must purchase a t-shirt for 20/50 Robux which gives us the right to assign one of you prosecutors to a client's case. Those who join the group as a client will get the priority cases. First the first client who joined to the most recent, then those who haven't joined will be given an attorney in alphabetical order. If you want to prosecute for a friend, please give us the username and verify if he/she has the t-shirt for your rank. We'll let you prosecute in his/her case then.
[Losing Your Badge] There are only 2 ways to be exiled from Underwood Law. (1) Present false evidence fabricated by you, or (2) lie about your "0 losses" to be promoted to Perfect. Once exiled, you will be no longer allowed on Underwood Law property, regain your badge, and hire an attorney from Underwood Law.
[Uniforms] Uniforms are a simple suit and tie (bow-tie if you prefer) As well as an Underwood Law badge. These badges can be found in the groups store.
That is all. I thank you for reading and I really hope this helps. I'm sure you'll be ready to tackle those cases!
