going to do more of these
but this isn't ATC. Has narrator.
July 12, 2010
The first ever easyJet A321 is preparing for takeoff at John Wayne airport. It's handling 120 passengers and 6 crew members.
As the engines turn on after being transported by pushback-truck onto the runway, there is a note saying "Check Weight"
The pilots do not notice. After clearance, they roll down the runway. Due to the unknown weight, the plane loses fuel fast. As the plane lifts up and gets into the air, the two engines shut off.
The pilot tries his best to control it. But, the plane stalls onto the highway, barely missing any car and crashing into the trees.
102 passengers die. The 10 out of 24 die on the way to the hospital, and the remaining 14 survived and were taken to hospital, but did not die.
It was easyJet's worst accident.
Up to then, have a great day. |
