Hey there, I've been thinking of an idea that has plenty of benefits for both roblox and the community.
- Allow posting of Github links - Create an official ROBLOX Repo on Github - Git support in studio
What is Github anyways? Github is a popular site where developers work together on open source projects. Some projects can have thousands of contributors but it is all easily managed thanks to Github.
Wouldn't it be great for roblox to have an army of scripters work on projects? Anything from the core game engine to .NET code, JS animations, and other projects that they might not have the time to do themselves.
Now if you are in roblox studio and just scripted a really cool Lua file and you want to share it, just type in "git" in the command bar and get access to git (which manages content you send to github).
It would be pretty complicated to implement the last part, but the first two are really easy and would just take a few minutes to add.
As always, constructive feedback is appreciated. |

A ROBLOX repo already exists, actually. Go find it yourself, it's simple with Googling.

Well I already searched Github but all I found were group bots.
Anyways, my ideas still stand. While the core is written in Lua, there can be other repo's that focus on the aesthetics or functionality of the site, as well as SQL/PHP/.NET coding. |
