With companies like intel and Nvidia they of course will favor someone with a degree in a field such as computer engineering, programming, etc. But the motto of silicon valley company has always been to hire the underdogs

| Good luck. I chose law school around 11th or 12th grade. So far, I am on my way there. Hopefully your path will be filled with prosperity and happiness. |

Want to work at Intel or Nvidia?
Do well in High School and get into a good school with a technical focus. Major in something like Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Micro-Electrical Engineering.
Your GPA is the most important thing you've got, you want a 3.5 or higher probably to be considered.

I don't even care about money as long as i have enough money to have a house and spoil my children/wife i don't care about having money for myself as long as I'm working somewhere i enjoy
which i as-well am awake to reality and things don't end up how you'd like them to be but on rare occasions

Trust me when I say this: They don't want the underdogs. They want the super successful students who are the best in their fields, that's how they stay on top of them. There is a reason Nvidia produces the best graphics cards and Intel makes the best processors. |

Then your friends in 1 in a million because everyone I know couldn't even get considered without a 3.0 and the ones that did had 3.5s or above.
My Nvidia application was rejected because I didn't have a 3.0 as well (I have a 2.8). |

I do hope you know Intel has a department only for creative thinking, one of the highest paid employees at intel barely completed highschool has no experience in programming or computer engineering and his job position is identified as "Futurist" and the only thing he does is pitch ideas. If you know anything about engineering the biggest part of it are the creatively minded idea pitchers

Chase your dreams man but understand the realities.
That one "Futurist" is an anomaly, that is one person in a corporation of thousands running one of the smallest divisions in the company.
Engineers think stuff up the same as everyone else and then they can also go and make it. Look up ImagineRIT if you think that is false.
It's up to you to whether you want to follow my advice or not, it's not my life so I don't really care what you end up doing. Best of luck. |

Fillipe, im going for aerospace engineering but my buddy got an internship, and the "futurist" you described does not only pitch ideas, but actually has to fool-proof many concepts in the view of a costumer or aka testing, which is actually very tiresome and stressful LOL, why do you think they get paid well
