Hey there! I was configuring a DataStore system, and came up with an idea. I think it would be substantially easier to configure DataStores with a visual display/list that shows all DataStores in your place. This could be displayed in: -The Game Explorer in studio (It would appear as a list similar to the "Developer Products" list.) -The site, under its own tab on the Configure Game page. -Both of the above.
It would contain: -A list of all created DataStores, with a search box so developers with high-traffic games can more easily see them. -An "Expand" button that would show the data contained within the DataStore. -An "Edit" button that allows users to modify DataStores without the use of the Command Bar. -A "Delete" button to permanently remove a DataStore. -A "New" button to add a new DataStore.
The current DataStore scripting API would NOT be changed. Users would be able to use all existing DataStoreService commands in conjunction with the visual display.
Possibly, although it is not necessary, you could add a method to sync DataStores between universes without HTTPService, as long as the universes are owned by the same developer.
Hope you consider adding this! --Rwtech09 |
