YES I KNOW THAT IS TRICKY AND THAT IS THE POINT THANK U.
No but if the Bolts had stayed 4 - 0, they would have had all the momentum going into Game 5 and ppl would be talking about how the Bolts were able to dominate the Pens and keep them scoreless when they had to
Instead, Pens get three quick goals, get it back to 4 - 3, and the story is how the Bolts NEARLY lost.
So they tie the series 2 - 2. But the Penguins still carry all the momentum and will win Game 5.

not when they don't even know who's starting in net for game 5
the lightning showed murray's true colors and fluery can do a lot better than him |

Except that's not what I'm getting at I mean, Fleury's a solid goaltender if they put him in, Murray's proven he's solid 2 So the issue isn't "oh, both goalies r bad what do we do!!!" but rather you have two good goaltenders you have to decide between
Anyway!!! The fact that they were down 4 - 0 to start the third and nearly won That's gonna give them a lot of momentum Tampa scores a goal? They'll just get it right back

| They sort of win if Vasy is back in net next game, if Bishop is back next game then not really. |

| it may provide momentum yes but it's not going to be like a 100% total game changer like you're implying it will be |

Even if Bishop is back in net next game, the Penguins trust themselves to get it back Its like the Flames were a few seasons ago
They did it once and got a belief in it Then they did it basically every game

This pretty much sums up every single time someone's favorite team loses in the playoffs in this forum

I'm not implying its a game changer I'm implying it gives momentum The fact that the Penguins have been rolling over the Bolts is the game changer
Game 2 Bolts got dominated Game 3 Bolts got dominated Game 4 Bolts were the ones dominating, but they couldn't hold onto it
And if you're the Bolts, with the way they lost games 2 and 3, you want to do it back

Yes ik its completely different team What I'm saying is the belief is what matters o3o
And I'm not even a big Pens fan @ Habs But so far they've been the clear winners of this series

"Game 4 Bolts were the ones dominating, but they couldn't hold onto it"
"but they couldn't hold onto it"
it's not they couldn't hold on, its that they've decided to hold back and played too safe
they also held on to the lead so looks to me that they held on |

Gah stop arguing with my word choice :'(
I mean hold on as in like You're up 4 - 0 with 20 minutes left, at the very least you want to win that one like 4 - 1 Where the Penguins have no hope

well it seems to me they look frustrated instead of motivated
those 3 goals are almost worthless unless they win you the game |

"the lightning showed murray's true colors"
but 3 goals were cross-crease one timers that are hard for any goalie to stop and the other was a deflection
true colors my ass

They lost, but they didn't just die If they just died they don't look good going into the next game If you get it close and can't make it you still look like the better team heading into the next game

while i agree that his rebound control sucks, Pittsburgh's defense hasn't been stepping up a lot this series, leading to more goals for Tampa.
Pittsburgh's defense still isn't used to Tampa's speed.
