LOL NO

post repeated to avoid censor

I think that this song is a big metaphor- a masterpiece. This song touches up on such ground breaking topics such as poverty, depression, and corrupt politicians. It demonstrates the struggles Jacob goes through on a day to day basis- trying to cope with these things. It's a true lyrical masterpiece.

"Chillin' with a hairtie,
no makeup with some sweatpants on.
You know I can always be that guy"

The hairtie represents Jacob's small, singular thought- the thought of revolution. The thought that we can change this world.

The sweatpants represent Jacob's crippling depression- more on that later.

We know that Jacob will always be "That Guy" - our savior- the one to save us all from the difficulties of the world.

"Something that will keep you warm
and show you we can be more than just this"

Jacob is offering warmth to the world- a way to get out of eternal darkness and sadness. This is his call- him saying that he will always be there for us- this is something that we all are blessed to know. He tells us we can be more than this- more than what we are. He's calling for a revolution- a new, better world. This is so meaningful.

"So baby if you are not ready for my kiss
Then you can wear my sweatshirt
And you can tell your friends we'll be together till the end
Girl you can wear my sweatshirt"

Jacob's "baby" is the world- and his kiss is his revolution- his gift to the world. He tells us that the world may not be ready for this, though, so they can wear his "sweatshirt." What Jacob's sweatshirt represents left me absolutely clueless. At first, I thought it could be related to his sweatpants, his depression, however- I think this is meant to represent the opposite of his depression, and we all know the opposite of depression is love. Jacob telling us that we can wear his sweatshirt means that we can take his love- he will always love us no matter what. He tells us to tell our closest friends and family that Jacob will always be with us- we'll be together to the very end- we're not alone! He will give us light!

"Cuz you're the only one I hold and I don't want you to be cold
So baby wear mine and you can wear my, my, my, my sweatshirt
And I don't want you to be cold, cold, co- co- co- cold
So you can wear my"

The first part of the first line is the politicians. They are talking to the impoverished about how they hold them- that they could be gone in an instant in their hands. However, Jacob tells us that he doesn't want the impoverished to be cold. They too can wear his sweatshirt of love! He doesn't want the world to be so co-co-co-cold!

The song only repeats itself from here. Truly- I think that this song is beautiful. Our lord Jacob Sartorius has blessed us with only the highest form of art, and we thank him for that. Here's to revolution!

Read more: Jacob Sartorius - Sweatshirt Meaning By Willmingo | MetroLyrics I think that this song is a big metaphor- a masterpiece.

Here's to revolution!

lol I am not reading that but anything can be a metaphor depends on how you use It.

its not long its just repeated. And there is no way Jacob satorious, a tween, wrote the lyrics with a meaning in mind.
