In my defense American football is a lot better, and I also do enjoy soccer a lot.
My first reason - Now, I am admitting soccer is still a sport that takes a lot of skill, but if you think it through what takes more physical activity football is obvious. Yes, if you look at it people get knocked out in soccer or get a concussion with no pads, but in football even with pads, the hits and tackles are so rough they still get knocked out or get a concussion. With not even looking I can think most soccer players weigh between 180-230 pounds no more, and football players that weigh 180-300 + can keep up with the game that lasts 1 hour long, including timeouts and such so about 2 hours. Soccer is still indeed takes lots of endurance and speed, but I see football winning the physical activity.
My second reason - Scoring is earned, not through penalty's. Like a PK in soccer is a gifted point, or a chance. In football you can either kick it, pass, or run it for the score. Soccer does take a lot of foot coordination, but so does football. Not as much, but football still takes a lot. Including spins, stiff arms, and to do that stuff it takes strong legs and arms. I am not calling soccer players weak but they are not usually the biggest. This one is a close one, football wins, but soccer can too if it is debated.
My third reason - Football takes a lot of smarts. Seriously a lot, Look at a quarter back. Look how much pressure they have : Reading a defense, remembering the play, looking for a open target while watching the d-line. Then throwing a pass on the money, while watching the defender cover the receiver and hoping it does not get jumped, and if picked off or incomplete they just wasted a lot of brain power. Constant studying in rooms almost just as hard as being on he field is pretty tough. Some positions are more pressuring then others, and all take a different skill set. Soccer? Almost are all the same, shots fired. |

| Adding to my reasons, people say soccer takes concentration, but football does too. So instead of kicking a ball and thinking everyone else has something else to do than each-other, not all players do almost the same thing. Also saying that their are no plays in soccer really. It takes a lot of concentration and smarts to remember all these plays. |

''if you think it through what takes more physical activity football is obvious''
in soccer you have to keep constantly running, in football there are a lot stops between. plus the fact it's called ''football'' |

| Yes yes, that is the number one reason and it still does not really prove anything. |
