@Flam What is an observable thing that is infinite? |

what do you mean by observable?
You can see it? |

@Flam Math is an idea (limited to how much we can think) Apples are observable (they actually exist)
@Jon Time is an idea and not an actual thing.
@theearth Mirrors reflect light, light does not go for infinite amounts of time, it'll stop at one point. |

| Time is not infinite. Time is a measure of observable change. If nothing changes everything seems static and time does not exist at that point. That is going to happen one day. Time stops in the universe when everything becomes static because the universe is tending towards equilibrium. |

@flam I can't continue doing an action for ever, at one point I will die. |

infinity would never be observable, that's stupid. if something went on for an infinite, we'd see it everywhere. but keep in mind the universe could is essentially growing infinitely.

nothing exists i guess but it also doesn't exist because its nothing more specifically a vacuum has nothing in it that's pretty easy
infinity is a hard one but you kinda gotta think of it like math you cant see it with your eyes but it exists in some ways infinite actions can be performed by lua, but you have to take lua's word for it because you're never gonna see that constantly repeated message "Hello world!" reach infinity you would probably also need a computer that lasts forever
infinity is one of those really hard things to conceive and grasp and all that

There's an infinite amount of real numbers.
There.

@flamin
i think you might be right theres a possibility that a computer could see infinity so infinity is perceivable only by a machine we've created though, not by us sadly and that computer would need infinite capacity and be able to last forever most factory computers are purposefully limited at something like 1000 days (very much not infinity) to make us buy more computers and we don't have infinite capacity on them because well we have nowhere near that |

@Mucho I don't know about vacuums but most likely there still would be something. |

| I watch the science channel. Apparently the universe is going to expand indefinitely until the other galaxies in the observable universe are so far away from us that the night sky will eventually be completely dark and there will be no evidence of other universes to future aliens and life forms in the milky way galaxy. |

| well actually what you say about doing it in a limited time it would just need infinite capacity so not quite as bad |

@mr_ot
considering the size of the universe and how we've already found vacuums with small spaces that contain literal nothingness i don't think its way too hard

"but a computer can do an infinite amount of things in a limited amount of time"
Try running "for i = 1,10e+99 do print('Hello world!') end" on ROBLOX Studio.
It will never complete the process... And the loop isn't even infinite.
