I would like to make a place that has a maximum of one running server.

I would like to do this without using HttpService.

I'm pretty sure personal servers are restricted to one server if you want to do it the easy way.

That would be great if only Roblox didn't discontinue private servers.

Also, please don't suggest using datastores, as this is too much of a hack.

The reason that I need this, is that I am going to be using UpdatePlaceAsync() (or what ever its called), and I don't want multiple servers overwriting each other.

This is what personal severs were good for D:

What I was thinking of was using universes to generate a one time server, wouldn't be perfect but it would work.

I would just use datastores honestly... Just have it default on 0 when a player joins a game get the number of players if its 1 then set the datastore to 1 then if a player leaves and #players == 0 then set it back to 0.

Unless there started AT THE EXACT EXACT same time this will work fine.

Is that even practically possible? I don't believe it is. GetAsync and SetAsync calls are extremely, extremely quick.

There's still personal servers for groups, had no idea they were taken away from individuals.
