The 24th richest football club in the world won a title and it's somehow the biggest upset in sports history?
How? |

| What does a calculated betting line predetermined before the season have to do with Leicester's play? |

"lets just ignore that fact that they were nearly relegated the season before i guess"
Eibar playing at a 6,000 capacity stadium, being a mid-table La Liga club, being 100% supporter owned all the while being dirt poor compared to the rest of the world's top flight clubs is a much better story than Leicester City

They largely were the same team that was nearly relegated the season before, there's a reason they were picked no higher than 17th in preseason predictions
Almost every player on the team had a career year, literally almost every regular starter |

Yet they were all good enough to play and have well established careers in the #1 league in the world, so I'm still failing to see how this comes anywhere close to the "bigest upset in sports history" |

Went worst to first in a year, literally almost everyone pegged them to finish in or near the relegation zone, managed to win despite 5000-1 odds
Eibar, while it is certainly a comparable story, is not a comparable upset
They finished first in the Segunda Division before arriving in La Liga, and while their success is admirable, it's not a shock to see them still in the league at this point (and they finished 18th in 2014-15, could've been relegated)
Not an "upset" when they were already considered a decent team
Great story, not upset |

| I'm sorry, but I don't find it a spectacular miracle that the 24th richest team on the planet won a title. Especially since most of their wins were ugly 1-0 grinders helped by the fact that all of the normal heavyweights had horrible seasons. Sorry. Can't persuade me on this one. |

Not even close to the same thing
The 76ers are full of D-leaguers and castoffs from other teams in a league with a salary cap. Every team in the Premier League have some of the best players from every region of the world, whether they're top 5 or battling to escape relegation. As I said, betting line odds mean nothing, and I find it hilarious that ESPN and other sites are trying to "explain" how big it is by comparing it to American equivalents that don't correlate at all. |
