What games do you want to record? Unless it's something from like, a decade ago, you're going to need a lot more money than that to even play them, let alone record them.

For modded Minecraft, okay then.
Deadicated wam: You gotta have 6 to 8 gigs if you're doing 100+ mods, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
For around 40 mods you should be fine with 2 to 4 gigs. This all depends on how big the mods are.
CPU: A 3.7 quad does it well for me, I dunno about the graphics card.
I feel like a slightly lower processor would run it, I don't know how much lower though. So basically I know barely anything. |

Modded Minecraft most certainly won't run on a 150 dollar PC. For one, Vanilla Minecraft is really badly optimized (this was fixed somewhat in 1.8, but it could still be better), and most larger Minecraft mods are taxing on the CPU, so if you put them all together, it's really hard for lower end CPUs to keep up. Plus, you'll need a decent graphics card to get decent framerates. Let alone recording the game, in which case you'll need somewhere between 8 and 16 GB of RAM, and an even better CPU.
So all in all, save your money. You won't be able to play and record it very well (if at all) on a 150 dollar PC.

@Sre
No it's plenty enough for OP to run 600 Crysis 3's at once.

Lol no, don't even bother recording, there's no point, and your budget won't get you anywhere, even if you are not going to record.

| Well my trash pc right now could play most FTB modpacks pretty well. So i just want something that would run fast enough for me to able to record and still be smooth. |

Don't record though. And 150 is not getting you anywhere.

"your going to need something better to record them"
you know shadowplay is a thing and its very good at that with like a 2-3 frame loss
An fx 8320e/950 or an i3/950 is probably a good start. Only suggesting the 8320e incase you're an amd fan.
It's been years since I built an amd system.. gotta do that again when they 1070 comes out. |
