But the United States has officially one of the worst Public School education systems in the world...

All we do is go to school,over-work and prove nothing in terms of actual ability. Which is why we rely on other graduates who attend our colleges from other countries to makeup for our idiocy...

Anyone else agree?

You do know that the US is rated as a "3rd world country" in terms of education correct? The only fancy about the US is our colleges... Which isn't counted as our education system.

I'm complaining because I can't go to college yet, which is why I'm ranting about the law of forcing me to attend "public school"

Which I mostly refer to as one of the following:

"drug society"

"women poppers"

"idiot pen"

@Surgo

Agreed. However am I talking about our wonderful colleges that attract other first world countries (in education) students? No.

I'm talking about our public school system for Elementary, Middle, and High-School.

Well, the thing is, the American education system in its current form isn't meant to create a society of thinkers, it's meant to create a society of workers. If you truly want knowledge, you get through all the crap in high school and apply to a good university.

that is why I'm homeschooled

some districts are really great, but the elementary/middle schools I would've gone too are crappy

the HS one I live near now is actually pretty decent, though it's not very easy to transition from homeschool to public school in high school

What a silly excuse you made here.

The pros of the American public school system outweigh its cons vastly. You should recall that our public schools are FREE, whereas some people in the world can not have an education or afford it.

You also forget that school has the intent to excel one's knowledge by stimulating the brain through different grade levels, and if you fail, you are held back. It's much like getting promotions in these ROBLOX groups. Don't even try to make fun of me for making ROBLOX clan comparisons, I'm simply also trying to stay on topic! It's silly to attend these trainings, it's not like you actually learn much. What you are doing is honing your skills, much like in school, you're training your brain.

All schools are the same, whilst some may have a more efficient staff (likely having to do with a better pay grade) or improved form of bureaucracy (also pertaining to staff, just organizationally) there is not much of a difference in the world.

There's also private schools where it can be an entirely different environment for people. That is if you feel like paying. There is diversity, academic opportunities, and much more all over the world. It all depends on which school you go to.

@Z007

See, I've been forced to attend public school my entire life. In K-First grade I was in a "honors" class where they attempted to place me with one teacher who taught both a kindergarten class and a first grade class. Eventually my grades all plummeted due to the failure of the teacher, and my mother stepped in. When she did this she looked at the other classes which didn't have this "honor" system and they were all three-four years ahead in English, Math, and History...

Ended up getting the principal fired, and the teacher fired. I even got my own private-tutor who taught me privately away from the other kids to make-up for my entire loss of my two years of education. At the end of my second grade, I had accelerated my grade to such a point that I had improved 94%. Got an award from my state being the most improved student that year...

So to break it down, let me show you why I would prefer a tutor/home-school based program over a public-school program:

In public school, students that were in other classes during First-Grade and Second-Grade were reading at a fourth grade level. When I was tutored for a single year by a tutor and kept away from other students, I excelled and reached to a point of reading at a tenth grade reading level. For math, in Second-Grade most students learned multiplication, addition, and subtraction for math. I however that year learned far more advanced math and was at least three years ahead of current classes.

Overall, I am a currently very mad at the education system in America. I'm also very mad that I was forced to attend a public-school where my education was hindered based off a belief of "No Child Left Behind" policies that caused me to not advance as quickly and efficiently as I'd preferred. I do blame my parents for their failure to see my constant issues at a young age, and for their failure to listen to my wishes and asking for my private tutor to stay my tutor.

For those who think I should "man-up", realize I don't really care about your beliefs in education. The facts state I would had been in college by age fourteen-fifteen rather than waiting twelve years and being nineteen before I attended college. So excuse me for my anger issues deriving from a stand-point that I should be far-ahead at a younger age.

The education systems in America have been rated third-world, many famous professors and intellectuals such as Dr. Michio Kaku agree to the statement that America is horrible in education. My complaint is why do we still use a system that waste money, causes issues for students long-term, and essentially doesn't improve our nation's overall standing in the world?

The answer too this is the people such as Nikomachus who believe that we should "man-up" and not change the system due to it being there already. I call these people lazy and idiots due to the realism that they are truly stupid in the fact that they don't change the world for the better. I despise people who sit around and completely do nothing because they "feel" they can't accomplish anything nor change a system, when in-fact that myth is false.
