we have this question ok goes osmething like this note: we have a reference table of stats like gravitational constant etc during beta decay a nuetron decays into a proton, an electron, an electron antinuetrino, and some energy
they want u to compare a nuetrons mass to a protons mass b/c of this
well clearly since a nuetron decays into a proton AND an electron which both has mass(and the oher thing) a nuetron must have more mass
but no the physics teacher says the question is irrelevant she whips out the reference table and take a look the same number 1.67*10^-27 kg so they must be the same mass regardless
well i ddint say anything but i knew she was wrong
i googled both masses of a proton and neutron and guess what?? a nuetron has slightly more mass than a proton

| I thought Electrons is the one that has mass? Not protons or neutrons. |
