Now, this is a roleplay based on Project Reignite, which involves fictional characters obviously, or I wouldn't post this here. Now, I will allow you to add your own character, but I won't incorporate new characters until probably Chapter 3 or so. Anyway, the form is below:
RP Character Form
Name*: Age*: Gender: Parents: Siblings: Friends: Children: Powers: Weapons: Side(Good, Neutral, or evil)(If you don't want to reveal that, put unknown)*:
*This symbol means that areas are required, specifically the ones with the * symbol by them.
Let's have fun! |

Prologue: Always Running
!You keep running. You speed around a corner, coming to a stop in an abandoned city. Cobwebs and dust float around, and you began coughing when you accidentally inhale a few. You keep going. The city was abandoned, making it eerily silent, like something could jump and grab you, pulling you into the endless shadows, at any time. Of course, you have plenty of time to think. So you let your mind wander. You still question why Amy even wanted children. Hasn't she had enough? Then, you realize that many of her children were adopted, or older. She loves children. You don't question why. It's her decision. !You look around, and suddenly, you come to a village. Or what remains of it. Nobody is alive, but you keep seeing... blood stains? The thought makes you gag. You find yourself shivering slightly. You've never dealt with a cold-blooded killer before. Even Eggman doesn't kill so many people. He wants power over people. You wonder if Serix is a killer, but you shake the thought away. Why would he kill his own city? "Hey Sonic!" A voice yells. It's Serix. You see him come out of a shadow. Suddenly, you realize that you're in a maze. A hedge maze for hedgehogs. "Hello, Serix," you say. "What are you doing here? And what's with the blood stains?" "Well," he says. "It's Zircon." "Who's that?" You ask. "He's the grand elder and council leader of the city," Serix tells you. "Well he was, until he went crazy. One night, he just killed Kyu, and then he started slaughtering everyone else. Only his own daughter was spared. Well, I can't say spared because she ran away. She's not even a year old, but she can already walk. I think she's all ready. Potty trained and what not. She can even fend for herself, and I've seen her punch people in the stomach quite hard." "Can she speak?" You ask. "I think she can," Serix says. "But she doesn't, not since her father went crazy." "Will she go crazy?" You ask. "Yes, unless you find her a good home," Serix says, staring at you. "I'm sure Amy would love another one. By the way, how is Amy? You sigh. "Fine. And Amy's having another child soon," you say. "Now, where is she?" "I saw her by those blood-stained houses earlier," Serix motions. "But I don't have time to look. I need to work on a robot. I call him Robroto." !With that, Serix disappears, leaving you to find the daughter. Suddenly, you realize that you never found out what her name is. You sigh again. Suddenly, you see a small shadow. It darts away. You chase it.! @Suddenly, the hedgehog spots you. Somehow. You run as fast as you can. When you look back, you realize it's Sonic. You groan. Nothing could outrun that speed demon. Your bluish straight-jacket thing warms you up quickly, but you keep it on. You have to keep going. Suddenly, you find yourself in a maze. Then, you fall through a trap door. Well, almost. It's an endless void. You hang on with your left hand, shaking. You can't grab the ledge with your right hand, as it's too far away. You don't bother trying either. You're terrified of the void. Suddenly, Sonic comes and manages to drag you out of the void. Your white snout quivers. You look at Sonic with slightly-bulging eyes. "What's your name?" He asks you. You know how to speak, but you don't want to, not after your father threatened to murder you in your sleep if you talked. "What's wrong?" @You shrug. "I promise I won't let anybody hurt you," Sonic says. "What's your name?" @You know that he won't leave you alone until you tell him, so you do. "Saphire," you say in a squeaky voice. "Alright," he says. "I'll take you home with me." @With that, the two of you walk back to the house.

Chapter 1: Kingdom Shifters
@It's 10:00 AM on a nice, sunny day, but your half-brother, Blue, is still sleeping. Everyone's eaten breakfast already, and although that's the least of his worries (because he doesn't need to eat or drink, so he doesn't), you decide to wake him up anyway. You open his door, go through, close it, and then you jump on his bed. "GET UP, SLEEPYHEAD!" You yell. You're four, almost five at this point. Blue doesn't get up at first, but then you feel his body shift. "Hu..." he says drowsily. "Saphire... why did you wake me up?" "IT'S FREAKING 10:00, SILLY!" You yell excitedly. "Let me... sleep in..." he says. "I don't have to go to school. Plus, it's summer." @Nobody in Sonic's family, even you, an adopted child, has to go to school. Sonic made sure that you all knew what you are doing. Well, actually, Blue doesn't have to go to school. You still do, but it is summertime, so you don't have to worry about it yet. Blue's the really smart one. Everyone likes comparing his brain to Einstein's, and a few people even say that Blue is smarter. @Realizing that you still have to go to school makes you slightly sad. Even if your teacher, Goku, seems really nice. Of course, people get a little confused at the sight of him. He's black and white, so no relations whatsoever *Wink wink.* You are jealous that Blue doesn't have to go to school, until you realize that Blue has to train with Goku every Saturday. It's a Friday. "C'mon, wake up," you tell Blue. "Naw," he says. "How do you expect me to do anything if I don't get enough sleep?" @Not much of an excuse. You see a cup of water on his nightstand, and you decide to splash it in Blue's eyes. They immediately turn red. Blue loses his vision for a few seconds, before his eyes turn back to their normal medium-light-blue color, the same color as his body. "I told you not to do that!" He yells, but because he is still groggy, he sounds a little woozy. "I'm allergic to water. You know that." @Suddenly, he starts breathing heavily. He grabs his inhaler. After a couple puffs, he coughs, but his breathing turns back to normal." "I still can't believe you're the only one in your family that has asthma," you say. "Why do you have so many problems?"@ *Why do you have so many problems? You're practically the smartest person in your family, but you can barely fight a bear. "I don't know," you tell Saphire. "Maybe I was deteriorating my mothers' body, and this was her idea of payback." "We both know it was Egghead's fault," Saphire says. "One day, your an average hedgehog, growing up like your father, and then Eggman puts some random genes and stuff inside your body, and now your a person who knows how to use tools, but can't use tools, know what I mean?" *You nod* "Speaking of which," she says. "I'm gonna go give him a visit." *You fall back down on your bed, hoping to get in a few more Z's. Suddenly an explosion goes off. It catches you off guard. You jump up, banging your head on the ceiling. You're no longer tired. "I'M UP!" You yell. Then you see Saphire looking at you. She facepalms. "Oh... right..." "Bye," she says.* @You head out of the house. The containment center is right near your giant palace. Well, it's Sonic's and Amy's giant palace, although you also share it with Sonic's uncle and a few other relatives. You think about your mother, who was killed when your father went crazy. You sigh, then head to the containment unit. Everyone inside is required to wear boots that clank on the ground. It's only purpose is to torture the villains that are surrounded by their barred cells. Of course, being the genius that he is, Eggman managed to create a pair of earmuffs. You go to his cell. He manage to get away with making Blue smart, but also really weak, and he also managed to make Blue young forever (you like to call it Peter Pan Syndrome). However, Sonic managed to stop him before he caused any more trouble. Eggman was then promptly arrested, and put in the containment center. Anyone is allowed to visit. "Hello again, Saphire," Eggman says. He's smiling creepily. "How is your brother doing?" "I'm not telling," you say. "You asked me that every time. I've never given you an answer. Stop trying." "Sonic hasn't raised you well, has he?" Eggman asks. "Oh, but it's not his fault. It's your father's! Ho ho ho ho ho!" "Stop trying to anger me," you say. "That only works with my half brother." "Well, he is a hothead," Eggman says. "In both ways," you say. You then stick your tongue out. "Well Egghead, I'm leaving. Goooooooooddddbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeee!!!!" "DON'T LEAVE ME HERE AGAIN!" He yells. "LET ME OUT OF HERE! I'M SORRY! I DON'T LIKE IT IN HERE..." @You go back to your home.@ *You sit on the porch. Suddenly, the bushes that surround the large palace start shaking unnaturally. Somebody's there. You know it.* "Alright," you say. "Come out!" *A small child comes out. It's Mario's son. He's been hanging around the palace for nearly a year now. He's caused a bit of trouble. This time, you've had enough. You chase him. He heads right towards the battlefield. Sonic's Kingdom and Mario's Kingdom have been at war with each other for years. And to think that it all started when a cannonball hit your palace once upon a time. You two soon find yourselves at the middle of the battlefield. You've been told before never to go into the battlefield, but nobody ever notices you. Except for today. The two of you are rolling on top of each other throwing punches, when two blue arms pick up you two, one in each arm. "Stop fighting," a rough yet light voice says. The hand set you down. You look up. It's a blue robot. Suddenly, the one kid punches the robot. You punch the kid, and the two of you keep fighting. Suddenly, the robot punches you, and you tackle it. *Soon, the three of you are rolling on the ground, fighting each other. You don't realize that a cannonball is coming towards you until you hear a giant explosion. By that time, it's too late. The cannonball hits the three of you, and you three roll back to your palace.* @You sit on the porch. Nobody knows where Blue went, and you're getting concerned. Suddenly, you hear an explosion in the distance. A minute later, a cannonball crashlands in the ground right in front of you. You see Blue's hair stick out of the ground. You scream. Amy comes out. "What happened?" She asks. "I think Blue's stuck under that cannonball," you say frantically. You rush over to the cannonball and try lifting it up. "Calm down," Amy says. "He'll be fine. I hope..." @You two can't get the cannonball up, and so you have to get a bunch of crowbars. You get some more people to help, and you manage to get the cannonball up. "I think I'll roll this back to the battlefield," Sonic says. "Are you mad at him?" You ask. "I can't be mad at him," Sonic says. "He saw that kid, and the little troublemaker got him to that field." Suddenly, you see a princess come up the hill with a small child. "Come to take back your little troublemaker?" Sonic taunts. "That's not what I want, Sonic," she says. "You know how much I hate my husband. Well, this is the last straw. I'm going to join you guys." "YOU'RE WHAT?!?" Sonic screams. "Luigi's coming up later," the princess says. "WHY?!?" Sonic asks. "YOU SURLY HAVE ANOTHER PLACE TO GO, RIGHT?" @She shakes her head. "Fine." Sonic says. "You can stay, but I still don't know what we'll get out of it." @Suddenly, you hear a grunt from the hill, and go over to it. Down below is a giant spiked-turtle creature, with a green, skinny plumber hanging onto his neck. The creature makes it up, and two more children run up. "WHO THE HECK IS THAT?!?" Sonic asks. "He was somebody who really liked to kidnap me," the princess says. "However, ever since Mario turned to the Dark Side, Bowser's been trying his best to act good." "Peach," Sonic says. "Fine, fine. Any more surprises I need to know about?" "Only that Bowser has a few "children," Princess Peach says. "But they'll stay out of the house. He also has an actual son, who is also staying out of the house. But we do have a doctor. Mind if he lives here?" "What's his name?" Sonic asks. "Dr. Mario," she says. "Don't worry, he's Mario's other nice brother." @You suddenly remember that Blue is still in the hole made by the cannonball, and you pick him up. There's also Mario's son... and a blue robot? Suddenly, the turtle creature, who you believe is named Bowser, lights the cannonball on fire. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Sonic asks. "ARE YOU TRYING TO LIGHT THIS PLACE ON FIRE?!?" "I'm sending a giant fireball at Mario's army," Bowser says. "Chill." @Bowser then punches the fire cannonball at the direction of Mario's army, which you hear contains many of the traitorous inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom, being traitorous because they were once Bowser's minions, but they turned against him. Only a few of them stayed loyal. The fire from the cannonball causes some grass to catch fire, so Sonic has to run around it really quickly to suffocate the fire of oxygen, and thus making it go out. You drag Blue into the house, and lie him on a bed in the medical section of the palace.@ |

*You wake up. You feel casts on your arms and legs. Suddenly, a doctor comes in the room, followed by Saphire. "How is he?" She asks the doctor. "He should be fine," the doctor says. "Oh, he's awake. Hey son, I'm Doctor Mario." "Huh?" You ask drowsily. "You'll probably feel tired still from the seditives," Dr. Mario says. "But without them, you would be in a lot of pain." "Can I come in and see him?" A familiar voice asks from the hallway. "Sure," the doctor says. "Just don't get in my way." Somebody comes in. It's Dive. "I heard what happened," he says. "How were you pasted by a cannonball though? I know you can run fast." "That's in the past, Dive," you say. "Eggman experimented on me. Made me really smart, gave me time travel powers, but also made me allergic to water, and now I also have asthma." "Jeez," he says. "Want it to be changed back?" "I don't know," you say. "I kind of like being able to time travel." *Suddenly, you remember your father. "I bet Sonic's mad at me," you say. "No," Saphire says. "He was more worried than mad. Besides, he thinks that it was that other kid's fault." "Oh," you say. "Tell him I'm sorry for worrying him." "Can't you do it yourself?" Saphire asks. "I'm still tired..." you say. You yawn, and before you know it, you're back to sleep. @When Blue falls back to sleep, Dive exits. So does the doctor, leaving you alone with your half brother. You look at Blue. He has spines going down from his hair, which is messy. Some of his hair is down all the way to his forehead. He has a slightly-faded, red cap, and slightly-faded, red and white sneakers. He looks content. Suddenly, Amy comes in. "How's he doing?" She asks. "Good," you say. "He was awake for a few minutes, but now he's gone back to sleep." *Suddenly, Blue wakes up again. "Hey, mom," You say. "Where's Sonic?" "Well..." she says. "Is he trying to catch Captain Falcon again?" You ask. Amy nods. You sigh. "It's bad enough that the war has gone on for so long, and that it's stressing my dad out so much. He's gonna get killed by that bounty hunter one of these days." @You three hear a commotion outside in the hall. You exit the room, and have to get to the way really quickly when the doctor pushes a medical bed down the hall and into a room on the very end of the hallway. "What's up?" Amy asks from inside Blue's room. @You suddenly realize that Sonic was on the bed. "I think I just saw Sonic..." You say. Amy comes out, and Blue, with some effort, gets up from the bed. He grabs crutches and you three slowly walk to the room. "Can we come in?" Amy asks. "Yeah," Dr. Mario says. "Grab a chair... Blue, I don't know if you should start walking yet." "He's my father," he says. "Fine," The doctor says. @Blue sits down. You sit down next to him, and Amy sits next to you. Sonic is unconscious. You can see bruises on both of his eyes, and his right hand is wrapped up. You believe that it is broken. "Is he..." Amy says. "He's alive, for now," Dr. Mario says. @Sonic wakes up. "Hu..." he says. He sits up. "Sit down," Dr. Mario says. "But I feel fine..." Sonic says. "Well, your legs are broken," the doctor says. "It's gonna take a while for them to heal. You need rest." "Fine..." Sonic says. He lies back down, and he is fast asleep. "Come back to your room," you tell Blue. You help Blue back to the room, helping him lie down on the bed. After all that, you are really hungry. "When's dinner?" You ask Amy when she exits Sonic's room. "I'll start it right now," she says. An hour later, it's done, and you eat downstairs in the dining room. The medical rooms are on the second floor. Afterwards, you go back up to Blue's room, and sit in the room until 7:00 PM. Suddenly, you hear a noise. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Yikes!" You exclaim. Blue wakes up.@ *What's that?" You ask. Suddenly, the window in the room shatters, but thankfully, it doesn't hit you or Saphire. Suddenly, a werewolf leaps in. You know it's a werewolf because it's a wolf. You've learned all about wolves from living with Saphire... ever since you were born. You see the werewolf, and realize that it's... Saphire's father? Saphire told you how her father looked, and what he was like. There's rumors that he killed an entire continent. "DAD!" Saphire screams. But it's not a scream of joy. It's a scream of irritation. Suddenly, fearing for your life, she shields you. "DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM!" "Saphire," her father says. He looks depressed. "I know you can't trust me very easily, and I don't expect you too, but give me a chance, please." "I've heard that you killed an entire continent," Saphire says. "#1 dad of the year..." "That's not true," her father says. "Then what is, Zircon?" You ask her father. You know her father's name, and you also know that he killed her mother and... either her brother or sister. No, it was both. "I nearly killed an entire village," Zircon admits. "However, I've changed. I only want the best for Saphire... and you..." "What do you mean?" Saphire asks. "I mean..." Zircon says. Suddenly, Amy comes in, and nearly faints. Saphire rushes over to her and hold her up. "Is that..." She says. "Yes," Saphire says. "That's my father. He's claimed that he changed..." "I can get security in here..." Amy says. "Don't worry about that," You say. "If I have to, I can always hit him with my crutches." "Amy!" Dr. Mario yells from the hallway. "My nurse assistant is sleeping right now, so I'm in need of your help. That robot is about to fly the coop." Amy rushes out. A few minutes later, the three of you hear Dr. Mario and Amy struggling. "I'll go help," you say. You get up and start walking on your crutches again. "Wait up, Blue!" Saphire exclaims. "I'll help you, just in case." "We'll both help," Zircon says. The three of you exit the room. The robot has knocked Dr. Mario to the ground, and is about to punch Amy. You hit it on the head with one of your crutches, and the robot turns to you. "You again?" It asks. "I've had enough of you!" *It lunges for you, but you hit it again with one of your crutches. It keeps coming, so you hit it on the head, hard this time. It collapses, and its head cracks open. Small wires are broken, so you keep hearing small surges. Another window being broken surprises you, and you jump slightly. Then, you hear a laugh. Mia... *She appears in the hallway. "Oh boy," she says. "Chuck ain't gonna be too happy about that..." She sees you. "Hello again, Blue. Willin' to forgive me this time?" She asks. "You and I both know that what happened was for the best," you say. You think back on what happened. *Mia was your caretaker... kind of. Sonic and Amy had their hands full with Saphire, trying to help her after the mental scars her father put on her. You knew that they loved you, but even though you could always take care of yourself, you needed a friend. Mia was willing. Soon, it became more than just a friendship, but you keep your mind away from that always. Then, on your fourth birthday, Eggman lured you onto his Ark, and experimented on you. Mia helped. She was with Eggman. But, she was also the one that stopped him from making you even worse. You were also going to become evil, but she managed to get Eggman arrested after he injected you with a bit of werewolf DNA. You were told that you'll never become a werehog, but you aren't sure. Science has been wrong before. *The unforgivable part was that Mia helped. She gained your trust on purpose, and then manipulated it. She was going to be in a containment unit like Eggman, but then somebody bailed her out. The same person also took Serix's robot and had it join them after Serix mysteriously vanished. Some think that he is in the Abandoned City to this very day, but most assume that he was murdered. *Robroto is lying on the ground, so Mia quickly whispers something in his ear. "What's that all about?" You ask. "My master will only let me tell you that you can keep the robot," she says. "I actually heard what you said," you admit. Your ears and eyes were also enhanced during the experiments. And you know that she said the same thing to the robot. "Well," Mia says. "Since I am a spy, I really need to get out of 'ere." "Who do you work for?" You ask. "Everyone," she says. She then runs into a medical room and leaps out the same window she came through. By the time you get to the window, she's already blended with the shadows. You go back to your room. Saphire follows.* ?It's been an hour later than what Mia told you it would take. She hasn't been back by now, and you're growing concerned. Suddenly, her shadow drops in. "Well?" You ask it. "It went fine," she says. "However, I did kind of say your name." "My nickname?" You ask. "Yes," she says. "Fine," you say. "There's a million humans named Chuck in the world. Maybe less, maybe more. That's just a guess." "I think Blue kind of beat the snot out of Robroto," Mia says. "Robroto must have gotten into another fight," you say. You then sigh. "I'll let him know that he can reveal which side we're on with the computer." "Why don't you do it yourself for once?" Mia asks. "Do you know what happened to Shadow?" You ask. "You're smarter..." "DO YOU?!?" "Yes," she says. "Shadow disappeared, and so did Serix. So what? You're only saving a bit of time. Besides, when your head's cracked open, and your circuits are frying, and when you've been told that you ain't needed anymore, how would you feel if you were told to do something via a computer?" "Fine," you say. "I'll tell him tomorrow." "And what 'bout the tournament?" Mia asks. "It's been moved to next week," you say. "So we have a weeks worth of time to get Blue to go into it." "Why are we doing this to Blue again?" Mia asks. "Because," you say. "Eggbelly stole my enhancements, and put them into Blue. They can make Blue stronger, but Blue needs to know that before he takes out Mario. And we need it to be a surprise, like a random act, so less suspicion falls on us. Because, of course, we're a secret motives agency first, so we must always keep low, meaning that not even the most helpful of acts can be attributed to us, unless we want people to come after us." "Alright," Mia says. "But you better do it tomorrow." ?With that, Mia heads to bed. You get up from your chair and look out a window at the stars. "Is it really time for me to reveal myself once again, Twink?" You ask the room. "I guess it probably is. I was shunned for my inventiveness, but things have changed, and now, I shall have to come out of the shadows, or risk becoming one of them. Goodnight, Blue, my creation." ?With that, you go to bed in a different room that Mia's. You sleep peacefully.? |

Chapter 2: The Abandoned City
*You wake up. It's another Saturday morning. Normally, you would be training at this time, but with everything that happened yesterday, you doubt the doctor would even let you out of the palace, even if you do few fine. You see Saphire asleep on the chair. "Saphire," you say. She keeps sleeping. She's always been a heavy sleeper, even though she usually wakes up way before you do. You get out of the bed, and go right up to her. "Saphire, wake up," you say right in her ear. Finally, she wakes up. You get back on your bed. "Whut tyme is it?" She asks. She sounds really tired. You look at the clock in the room. It's 10:00 AM. "Ten," you say. "I should have woken up hours ago," she says. "But I feel so tired." "Probably from sleeping on that hard chair," you say. "Yeah..." she says. Suddenly, you hear a knock on your door. "Come on in..." You say. It's Goku. "I'm surprised you're awake at this time," he says. "I'd think you'd sleep in a little bit longer." "This is what time I usually wake up..." You say. "Well, Saphire usually wakes me up at this time." "How are you feeling?" Goku asks. "Pretty good," you say. "Although it was a crazy day yesterday." *The rest of the day goes by pretty quickly actually. You have to stay in your bed, even though you always feel like moving. But before you know it, the clock reads 9:45. ?You look at the palace. It's dark out, but you can easily see the lighted window on the far right... well, it's the far right according to your position. Some of the windows were broken. You assume that one of them is Mia, but who was the other one? You leap into the room. You find yourself behind a medical curtain. You push it back. Robroto is laying on the bed. His head was stitched up. You know that Blue probably hit him in the head with one of his crutches, but Robroto must have really been going after him, because Blue can't swing a crutch hard enough to make Robroto crack his head in the first place. Robroto must have fell down. ?He doesn't notice you, so you have to take a risk and talk to him. "Robroto!" You whisper. He turns his head. "Chuck?" He whispers back. "What are you doing here? Isn't my mission still on?" "Didn't Mia tell you?" You ask. "You don't need to worry about being a spy anymore." "But aren't I valuable?" He asks. "And what if they ask what I know?" "Don't worry about that," you whisper. "If they find out, fine. We don't need to worry about keeping secrets from them." "Are you sure?" He asks. "The princess and Mario's brother are living here now, or so I've heard." "I always saw Peach hesitate around Mario," you say. "I doubt it's a trap." "When are you going to reveal yourself?" Robroto asks. "I'm... not sure," you say. "Well, I should really get going." ?Suddenly, the clock strikes ten, and then you hear a howl. Change of plans.? @When the clock strikes ten, you hear Blue suddenly howl. You wake up from your slumber, and suddenly, Blue's eyes start flashing gray, then back to normal, than gray again. This keeps happening, and the eyes flash faster and faster, until they finally turn gray. Then Blue's skin turns furry and thick. It's fur. His teeth grow sharp, and before you know it, he has become a werehog. Your father, who was sleeping next to you wakes up. So does Goku, who was on the very end. The three of you get ready to tackle Blue if you need to, but Blue suddenly sniffs the air, and bolts out of the room, right towards a target. The three of you run out of the room, and see Blue... wrestling with a human? The person is in a suit, and its face is being covered by a brown hat that is the same color as its brown suit.@ ?You keep wrestling with Blue, but then you look into his eyes, and shake nervously. He starts blinking, and spiked gloves appear in his eyes. Knuckles. Then he blinks again, and this time, it's bat wings. Rouge. He keeps doing that, and you see a shadow, which represents Shadow, then glasses, which represents Mia, then pointed ears, which represents Robroto, and finally, blonde hair. You. Suddenly, you realize that Eggman gave him the powers of you and every one of your spies. Before Eggman stole your serum, you never even knew about Blue, or anyone in the kingdom. Now, you knew almost everyone. Your serum can make anybody smart, and powerful, so long as they know how to fight. But there was a few side affects, such as having asthma, being allergic to water, and, in some cases, becoming a werewolf/werehog/anything along those lines. Eggman stole your serum before you could "work out the kinks." ?Suddenly, Blue's eyes flash again, and this time, they're a dark gray. Shadows. Eggman put shadows in the serum. They were the codename for your group of spies, but then they became known as an alien species of shadows that are pure evil. You suddenly wonder how Blue has all of your powers, then you realize that Eggman has access to the DNA of every single person, and has ever since you was able to find and take over the Ark again. However, he only has access to your DNA, Mia's DNA, and Robroto's... nanobits, which are his "DNA." Eggman had to get everyone else's DNA from somewhere else, which means that he probably kidnapped them. ?You don't have any time to try to get them back at the moment, because Blue suddenly gets ready to lunge at you. If he does, you'll go right into the door, which could result in brain damage. But just he is about to lunge, you hear a voice. "BLUE!" Saphire yells. Blue looks at her in confusion. "GET OVER HERE!" ?Blue obeys, running over to Saphire. He looks guilty.? *Blue sits down. When you glare at him, he starts whimpering. Feeling bad, you pet him. Suddenly, the human approaches him, and he starts growling at the human, and soon, Blue is barking. "STOP THAT!" You yell. Blue whines. "You probably shouldn't come any closer." "I know him," the stranger says. "I think..." "What do you mean?" You ask. The stranger ignores you. He lets Blue sniff his hand, and Blue nearly bites it. The stranger has to pull it away. Blue is still growling, and you have to keep petting Blue to make him stop growling. "What's your name?" You ask the stranger. "Chuck," it says in a masculine voice. He then tries petting Blue, and Blue tries to bite his hand again. "Alright Blue, that's it!" You say. You dig out a sock, and put it over Blue's mouth. Blue stops trying to bite Chuck, who pets him a bit. You can hear Blue whimper. "I told you to stop," you say. Suddenly, Chuck removes the sock, and pats Blue on the head. "Where's the doctor?" Chuck asks. "Sleeping," you say. "Don't think about leaving though. I want to know what you think you were doing, breaking in here all silent like." "I guess you're deaf to glass shattering," Chuck says. "Or I was asleep," You say. Suddenly, the doctor comes up. "Who are you?" Dr. Mario asks. "I'm Chuck," he says. "And I was nearly pasted by your patient." You lead Blue back to his room, and he hops back on the bed. "I need to get that out of him," Dr. Mario says. "That werehog form needs to go." Blue whimpers again. "Do we have to exterminate it?" Chuck asks. "It's almost like a completely different life form." "Well, do you have any ideas?" Dr. Mario asks. You can hear a hint of sarcasm in his voice, but Chuck shrugs it off. Goku and Zircon, who hid back inside the room, sit up. "Yes, I do, actually," Chuck says. "If you let me, I can separate the werehog from Blue." Chuck suddenly starts touching Blue's forehead, and about a minute later, you all jump when the werehog form jumps from Blue and onto the ground. Blue is back to normal. The werehog acts like it was. You want to ask Chuck who he is, but you decide to wait until tomorrow. Meanwhile, you need some rest. You decide to sleep on the chair again, but Chuck stops you. "You can sleep on the other bed in here," he says. "But what about you?" You ask him. "I don't sleep well at all," he says. "If I need to, I'll sleep in Robroto's room." @With that, you go back to sleep.@

*You wake up to the smell of... wet dog... You sit up, and realize that a dog or wolf is sleeping on your bed. You examine it closely, and realize that it's you... as a werehog. But how?" You hear people downstairs, eating. The doctor is still in bed, so you're tempted to sneak downstairs, but suddenly, your legs and arms hurt more than usual, and you have to lay back down. You look at yourself in a mirror. You shrunk a few inches, and there's some small sparkles in your eyes. Suddenly, you hear voices, and decide to lay down again. You can't help but feel creped out that a werehog is sleeping on your bed. Or that you're all alone in a hospital bed. The werehog suddenly wakes up, and sniffs you. You fear that it's going to bite you, but you calm yourself down, realizing that many animals can smell fear. Supposedly. Suddenly, Saphire comes into your room, followed by a person in a brown suit. The hat covers the person's face. "Hello, Blue," it says. It's a human. You suddenly freeze. The last human you met nearly made you evil, and that was Eggman. At least, you think that Egghead is human. "What the heck is this thing doing here?" You ask, pointing to the werehog. "That is the result of me removing your werehog form from your body last night," the stranger says. "How?" You ask. The idea sounds silly, even disturbing, but you feel intrigued. "Well Chuck, go ahead and tell him," Saphire says. She looks slightly tired. You think it has to do with the arrival of "Chuck." "I'm not honestly sure myself," Chuck says. "I'd say it takes the same concentration and mental energy as a Vulcan Mind Meld, but then requires somebody to know how to remove... what is almost the equivalent of a spirit or demon." "Why is it even existing though?" You ask. "I bet the doctor wanted to remove it completely." "Well," Chuck says. "It all depends on the creature's will to live. Since it is an animal..." "It's primary instinct is to survive," you finish. "I know. Must have taken a lot of energy, because I feel tired. and I'm aching more than usual. Also explains why I can't remember what happened last night." "You may have not been able to remember what happened last night even if I didn't remove the werehog from you," Chuck says. "It could have been much like sleepwalking, or rather being abducted by aliens or something along those lines." *The werehog yawns, then gets off the bed, heading over to Saphire. "I guess it still has its instincts to listen to me," Saphire says. "That's the only thing that stopped you from shredding Chuck to pieces." "I believe that the feelings for Blue were the same, even as a werehog, meaning that they were split 50/50, more or less," Chuck says. "That's the only way he could still listen to you, and the only way that the creature listens to you now." "Who are you?" You ask Chuck. "And don't try telling me you're some relative. The only thing I know is that you're either an alien, or a kook." "BLUE!" Saphire yells. "Sorry about that. He acts a little cranky sometimes." "Well," Chuck says. "I am a detective. I also work as a spy." "For who?" You ask. "Everyone," Chuck says. "Like Mia?" You ask. This throws Chuck off guard. "How do you know her?" "She was my caretaker," you say. "Why did you need a caretaker?" Chuck asks. You look towards Saphire. "My father... kind of killed my whole village..." she says. "He did it when I was only a month old, and that scarred me. I'm nowhere near as smart as Blue, but I was pretty smart for my age, so I knew what he did. That made it so that when Sonic found me, most of his and Amy's time was spent trying to get me to speak, and to come out of my shell. Blue was also pretty smart, and he didn't need a caretaker so much as a friend. Which is where Mia came in. Of course, once he found out that Mia worked for Eggman, him and Mia went separate ways." "That must be hard," Chuck says. "Mia works for you, doesn't she?" You ask Chuck. He's caught off guard. Again. "I don't know if..." he says. "I guess I've been in hiding for too long. Yes, she does work for me. After Sonic arrested Eggman, I was able to become Mia's lawyer, convincing the judge that she was just following orders, and whatnot." "And what about the robot?" You ask. "Sonic told me Serix was working on a robot." "After Serix went missing, I obtained Robroto," Chuck says. "Mia and Robroto were replacements for the other spies under my wings that vanished, such as Knuckles, Rouge, and Shadow." "Where were they seen last?" You ask. "They all told me they were going to explore the Abandoned City," Chuck says. "To stop the Shadow King and his minions, to become one, or to steal the jewel that the Shadow King wears as a necklace." "The Shadow King," you mutter. "I... I have dreams about that creep." *Chuck's brown hat falls off, revealing that he is indeed a human. He has blonde hair that was recently cut. "How?" He asks. "The Shadow King was one of my various creations I made as a scientist. I still have knowledge like that, but nobody usually has dreams about the shadows. They're like the real thing, except that they're grey, and they don't want anybody to reveal them. Not even people from the dream world." "Well..." you say. "I know that Eggman injected me with all of your DNA. In fact, I think I saw Knuckles and Rouge on the Ark when I was there. But, I never saw Shadow. Eggman had to find Sonic's DNA and use notes his grandfather made just to make anything similar to Shadow's DNA. Of course, he put Shadow's DNA in my body last. When he did though, I saw a bunch of the shadow creatures for a second, then they disappeared. I've been having dreams about them since. But I think I know who's controlling them." "What do you mean?" Chuck asks. "The Shadow King is their leader, right?" You shake your head. "No," you say. "The Shadow King obeys Eggman, but Eggman is being controlled by Mario..." "I should have known," Chuck says. "But if you saw shadows with Shadow's DNA, then that means Shadow is a shadow. The shadows are older detectives and spies who were abducted by aliens and became shadows. I was going to name my agents shadows, but when I heard about the actual species, I changed my mind." "Shadow looked normal though," you say. "Meaning that he had to choose to become a shadow. Is there a way to do that?" "Yes," you say. "But it requires you to be able to go to somebody who knows how to mimic the DNA of the shadows." "Eggman counts, right?" You ask. "Does that mean that Shadow is a double agent?" "Yes," you say. *The doctor comes in, and the rest of the day is spent mainly in silence. Chuck asks you some questions, and you answer them. The rest of the day is spent like that. You go to sleep earlier than usual. *The rest of the days spent in the hospital are fairly silent. You get out about a month later, and you are able to walk on your legs, but you still limp on your right leg a bit. You and Saphire decide to explore the Abandoned City. Robroto comes with you, and so does Mario's son. "How do we ditch those slugs?" Saphire asks you in a whisper voice. "That cave has a ton of entrances to the city, right?" You whisper back. "Yeah," she says. "Let's run in then!" You exclaim. The two of you run in, and completely lose Mario Jr. and Robroto. "Wait up!" You hear Robroto yell behind you, but you've already lost them. They don't know how to get into the city, and you have a feeling that they won't bothering trying. You soon hear footsteps exiting the cave, and you and Saphire enter the city. The lights immediately turn on. You look from a cave entrance to the city. You see blood stains and burnt houses from five years ago. You see something in the center of the city. "What's in the plaza?" You ask. Saphire looks. "That's a new building," she says. The two of you head over to it. It's a circle building. You two head in, and it's dark. Suddenly, lights automatically turn on, and you see capsules. The door closes shut. Suddenly, two robotic arms grab Saphire, and the capsules suddenly open to reveal multiple versions... of you! They come closer. Suddenly, one of them kicks at you, and you kick it. They all swarm you, and you manage to fend them all off. After about five minutes of fighting, all of the clones lay on the ground, knocked out. You see a throne. Suddenly, it turns around.* @As you hang upside-down from two robotic arms, you see a medical chair throne turn around to reveal what looks like an older Blue. "Hello, me," the older Blue says. "Yes, I know who you are. You dispatched your other versions so easily. Try to get me. I'm as tough as you." @Suddenly, the other Blue grabs two katanas from his back and charges Blue with them. Blue runs out of the way, and manages to grab the blades. The older Blue grabs a gun, and aims it at your head. "You move, she dies," he says, then laughs maniacally. You can see the rage in Blue's eyes. Suddenly, he charges the older Blue, and stabs one sword in the brain, and the other in the heart. The older Blue collapses. Suddenly, the whole room begins to spin, and then disappears, along with Blue. The whole city disappears, becoming just a small cave. You fall on your face, but get up. The older Blue's wounds have disappeared, and he gets up quickly. "Now you'll really die!" He exclaims. He aims his gun at you, but then he falls over randomly. Then, you realize that he was shot in the heart and head by somebody. You then see a small hedgehog run deeper into the cave. You chase it. You see it turn a corner, and you chase after it. It has reached a dead end, and so it hides in a corner. It looks like Blue, but it has antlers. You approach it, but then you hear a voice behind you. "Don't move," it says. It sounds like Blue's, but you know it's not. "You made your last mistake trying to hurt my brother." @You crunch your left hand into a fist, and swing it at the figure behind you. The figure collapses. You look at it, and you see somebody who also looks like Blue, but looks cleaner than Blue. You see a bit of forehead hair, but it was cut recently. Both hedgehogs are about the same age as Blue. You kneel down to the one that talked. It's trying to act tough, but you can see the fear in its eyes. "Are you going to hurt me?" It asks. You see yourself in it. It's just a scared child who has a bunch of responsibilities, and is trying to take care of his brother. "Who are you?" You ask. "I'm Blue," he says. "People always call me Blue Jr. though. My brother's name is Lunar. Of course, you should know that, mom. @Mom? Mom? What? "What do you mean?" You ask. "I don't have children yet!" "I'm your son from a different dimension, Blue Jr. says. "Of course, you usually treat Lunar the best, because he's "so innocent." He can't speak, but that doesn't mean a thing." @He looks sad. "What's wrong?" You ask. "My father's dead," Blue Jr. says. "He's been dead ever since Lunar and I turned four. A disease got him. I...I miss him so much." @The kid suddenly cries. You comfort him, rubbing his back. "I'm sorry that happened," you say. You don't think you're helping though. "What about your mom?" "She ignored me a lot. So I ran away," he says. "Soon, I found that Luanr was following behind me. That was about 1000 miles from home. We decided to sleep in this cave." @Suddenly, you realize that the city may have not disappeared, but you were sent to another dimension. But what about Blue? Suddenly, you remember seeing Blue disappear before the city did. "Let's wait here," you say. "Since I'm in your dimension, I'll try my best to help you. I might be able to bring you to my dimension." @Blue Jr. nods. Suddenly, Blue comes back, bloodied and bruised. He's barely breathing. "BLUE!" You scream. "BLUE! SPEAK TO ME! WHAT HAPPENED?!?" "I was sent to Mario's tournament," he says. "I was roasted by a bounty hunter. I have to get back. I need to save those people..." "No, Blue," you say. "You're hurt." @You look at his right leg. The bone in his knee is sticking out. "Blue, your knee-bone is sticking out," you say. "That's serious. I need to push it back in." "Now?" He asks. He looks queasy. You nod. "Fine, I trust you. But please, try not to make it hurt too much." @Since Amy was a doctor, you learned some things from her. The best way to push a bone back in is to lay the limb stretched out. You lie Blue's leg on the ground, and then you start rubbing the knee, making it warm. You then push the bone back in. Blue is trying not to scream, and passes out when you're done. You tug his face, and he wakes back up. He looks around, and notices Blue Jr. and Lunar. "Who are they?" He asks. "Those are our children," you say. "From another dimension. The one that looks like you is Blue Jr. and the other one is Lunar, who doesn't speak. C'mon. We need to get out of here." "But where are we?" Blue asks. "In their dimension." You say. Suddenly, you and Blue began to fade. You grab Blue Jr.'s and Lunar's hand, and hope for the best. The four of you all make it back in one piece. You all head to the palace. |

Chapter 3: The Tournament
@When the four of you get back to the palace, your two sons decide to live on their own. You know how awkward it is for them to be in the picture at this point. Plus, school's starting up soon, and you don't think that they want to hang around for that. Legally, they are supposed to go to school, but the police have so many other problems to deal with that they don't bother trying to get the rest of the kids back. @About a week later, school starts up, and you are immediately rushed into everything. Your teacher, Goku, hands out an evaluation test thing on the first day of school. On the next day, he says who's going to be in his class and who's not. People who are going out of his class are either below the average knowledge level, or above the average knowledge level. On the second day, he assigns everyone seats. You end up staying in his classroom. "I will assign your seat according to alphabetical order," he says. "Since I don't think you know many of each other yet, I've decided to do seat assigning by which way I feel is easiest, which is, of course, alphabetical order. But, rest assured, I will give you new seats during the year, as you will probably know each other at each table by the end of the month." @He begans listing off the students. There is a wide variety of humans, robots, hedgehogs, foxes, and many others. You realize that the classroom has at least one hundred students. All without last names. Well, most of the students don't have last names. You can name a few exceptions. There's some common names listed off. It takes at least twenty minutes to list off every name. "Mario Jr., Miles..." Goku says after about ten minutes or so. "Sonic Jr.,... Saphire. Right here..." @In total, you can see a few students living at your household, and some that aren't, but are either step-cousins or stuff like that. You spend the rest of the day filling out forms, writing your name a million times, getting to know each other, and going over the classroom expectations. Basic stuff. @The next day, when you come back, almost all of the students are gone. "Oh dear," Goku says when the bell rings, seeing the nearly-empty classroom. None of the students are in the other classrooms. "This always happens. Most of those kids just drop out. Well, I think I can fit you all into one table this time." @So, he changes your seats again. "Daisy... Dive... Luigi... Mario... Miles... Peach... Portal... Robroto... Sonic Jr.,... and Saphire..." he says in about five minutes. "Jeez, I wonder if a mass infection got all those kids." @You had an idea that the infection was pretty contagious. "Well," Goku says. "School is very important. Not because of the academic aspect of it, but also because we want to help you in any way we can. Meaning that you must practice using your powers. So, I'm taking you to the beach today." @All of you go to the beach, which is a short walk away. You then start practice on using your powers. Goku does allow pairs and stuff like that, but you don't need one. Of course, he does everything in alphabetical order, so you go last. "Now Saphire," he says. "Let's see what you can do." @He throws a Frisbee in the air. You immediately jump off the ground and go right for it, throwing it back to Goku. He does this a few more times, and then he has you beat up a dummy. You demolish it in five seconds flat. Then, he has you use a gun to shoot a target. First shot, you hit the bull's-eye. "Well," he says," that's it for today. School's over." @All of the kids run off, except you. "That was exceptional, Saphire!" He exclaims. You beam. "It's a shame that Blue can't do as good. I know he tries, but he doesn't stand a chance." "Could you watch what you say?" You ask politely. "He sometimes watches me when I'm with you, and I don't want him to get upset." "I'm sure there's nobody here," Goku says. @When you get home, you check the mail. There's nothing, except a letter for you. You open it, and read. "Dear Saphire, I overheard what Goku said. I know, I probably shouldn't intrude on somebody's private life, but it is a habit. Something about him drives me crazy, and I just get worried about you. The thing is, he's right. I don't fight well, at all. I can't get it down. I've always wanted to be like my father in that regard, which is why I'm joining the tournament. if I don't make it out alive for any reason, well, tell my family I love them.
Sincerely,
Blue"
@You nearly fall backwards. Blue's joined the tournament, and you know he's going to be torn apart. You run to Goku, who is sitting under a tree on a hill. "Hello," he says. You feel a sudden anger towards him, and you punch him right in the face. He falls on his face, but quickly get's back up. "What was that for?" He asks. "You did fine!" "Nobody's around, eh?" You ask. "BECAUSE OF YOUR LOUDMOUTH, BLUE IS IN THE TOURNAMENT!" "He'll be fine..." Goku says. "Wait, did you say the tournament?!? THEE TOURNAMENT?!?" "Yes," you say. "And since you got him into this mess, I want you to get him out." @The two of you run to the place where the tournament is. It is basically a stadium where every year, the universes' greatest fighters compete against each other. Whoever wins a round moves up, and the loser is disqualified. It's usually hosted by Princess Peach, but since she wants nothing to do with her husband, it is now hosted by Mario. Well, specifically Eggman. You ask one of the admitters where Blue is. "Sorry," the person says. "The kid's already in his first match." You and Goku push through the lines and crowds.@ #You hear the announcer, and then, the match bell rings. It's time. Your opponent is covered up in a robe, which is suddenly removed. Everyone gasps. It's a kid. You don't usually fight children. Heck, there hasn't been a child stupid enough to enter it, and certainly not a four year old. You look at the child. It has lightish-blue eyes, which is the same color as its skin. You believe that it's one of Sonic's sons, although it's certainly one of his younger sons. Most of his other sons have their own families by this point. #The kid rushes you, and you shoot it with your blaster. It falls on the ground, and you think that you won just like that, but then it gets back up, and lunges at you. You make your suit charge with electricity, which you are protected with by an inner shield that's on your suit. The kid bounces back, but keeps coming. This goes on for a while. Even when the kid starts bleeding, he still comes right at you, and you have to use another attack to get him off of you. Then, when he comes right at you, after leaping in the air, you use a powerful blast, which sends him to the ground. You go over to him. This year, it's a deathmatch, so you have to kill your victims. It's not really your style, but you prepare to finish the kid off anyway. Suddenly, a smallish creature leaps into the stadium, and tries shielding the kid from you. You realize that the kid probably has a family. You try going in for the kill, but then the memories come up. Painful, painful memories. Every bone in your body is telling you to stop, and in the end, you listen. Even though the crowd is saying to finish it, you get out of your suit. "DISQUALIFIED!" You hear the coach yell. You walk away, regretting what you've done. The other creature, which you determine to be a wolf, picks up the kid. You think that it's the wolf's brother. She looks in your direction, but you've already turn and hid behind a corner. You regret everything you did. Why did you hurt a child? You dig out a picture from a pocket. "What have I done, Adam?" You ask it, expecting to get some answers. Of course, it doesn't speak, so you get up, and head to your spacecraft, where you can actually talk to Adam. "How'd it go, Samus?" The computer asks. You sit on the chair depressed. "I don't want to talk about it," you mutter. You can't get the image of the kid out of your mind. Those eyes, once able to see the whole world, were closed shut. The kid was swollen all over, but the kid was motionless when you left the stadium. "Where do you want to go?" Adam asks. "Find me the location of Sonic," you say. Adam finds it almost instantly. "He's been living in a palace ever since he settled down," Adam says. "He has two actual sons and one actual daughter. The rest were either adopted or found. This includes a fox, a wolf, four human children, and a robot child. His youngest son is named Blue." #You nearly get sick when you see the image of Blue. He looks so happy... and you took that away from him. "Is that him going by right there?" Adam asks. You look out a window. Blue is on a stretcher, being loaded into an ambulance. His half-sister gets in after him. She looks devastated. "What course of action would you like to take now?" Adam asks. "Where's that ambulance going?" You ask. "To the palace," Adam tells you. "I believe that there is a doctor there." "Alright," you say quietly. "Let's wait thirty minutes, and then I want to go over there." "Got that," Adam says. "Hey, somebody appears to be admiring me." "Yeah, sure," you say. You look down. "Who is that?" "That is Goku," Adam says. "He is a teacher at the only school in the city. He seems nice, but there's been rumors that he put the kid up to doing what he did." #You freeze. The blood drains from your face. "Samus?" Adam asks. "Are you alright?" "I'll be right back," you say. You get out. Goku is walking away. You dig out a G-64, AKA "The Silencer," and shoot ahead of Goku, missing him on purpose. He turns back. "What was that for?" He asks. He looks pretty happy, for some reason. "Isn't it bad enough that my students try beating me up?" #You grab him by the shirt, and hold him up. You then push him against a wall. Hard. "Ow..." he says. You grit your teeth. "Now you listen to me, buddy," you say. "I want to know what liverbrained idiot told you it was a good idea to make a kid enter that tournament." "I wasn't encouraging Blue to enter it," Goku says. "But he did really need to learn how to fight better. Why do you care? You're just a dumb bounty hunter!" #You punch Goku. "You do not want to mess with me!" You scream. "I actually care. The only reason I'm sparing you is because this city probably needs to be educated. And I guess your the only teacher, for the twenty-fifth year of your life." #You began choking Goku. Then, you stop, letting go of him. He kneels on the ground, catching his breath. "Now," you say, your teeth no longer gritted. "I want to make sure you don't put down somebody like that again. "It's Blue's fault for overhearing my private conversation with Saphire!" He exclaims. "Oh, so you're so cowardly, you can't tell him how bad he is to his freaking face?" You ask. "You're on shaky ground. Another move like that, and you'll have a bullet through your head. GOT THAT?!? "Y...Yes... mam," he mutters. You walk away, and watch him run." "Why did you do that?" Adam asks you when you sit back down on the pilot seat. "Because," you say. "When you, the figure that everyone listens to, act like you're all big and powerful, you're no better than the bullies." #With that, you fly over to the palace. You wait until nighttime, wanting to make sure not to alarm too many people. Then, you go in at ten. |

#When you go inside, you immediately run up to the hospital rooms. Nobody sees anything except a red whir, and with Sonic around, they probably expect it. #When you make it to the hallway, you see Goku waiting outside what you believe is Blue's room. "It's full," he says. "Nobody's allowed in there." "Or are you being kicked out because nobody trusts you anymore?" You ask. Suddenly, the doctor comes. It's Mario's other brother. "Hello, Mario," you say. "Hello, Samus." "I'm surprised you still recognize me after all these years," you say. You show a bit of excitement, but quickly go back to being serious. "How's the kid?" "Well," Dr. Mario says. "I'm surprised he's still alive. You really did a number on him. He's basically blind. All his bones are broken. His tongue is swollen beyond repair. And I think he has brain damage. Serious brain damage. Did you have to be so hard on him?" "Probably not," you say. "Even though he was coming for me. Look, the rules changed. It's a deathmatch now. No longer do the losers just go home. Instead, you have to kill them. "Then why are you still doing it?" Dr. Mario asks you. He was once a maintenance worker on SR-388 or whatever the asteroid is called. You saved him from a falling pipe, and you've been friends ever since. "Because," you say, answering his question. "I was hoping to finally get rid of Mario. Not this time. I wasn't expecting a kid, honestly. Say, can I come in?" "Yes," he says. "Goku isn't trusted in there though. "Is there any chance the kid will recover?" You ask. "I don't honestly know," he says. "Blue was injected with a stolen serum by Eggman, who modified it a bit. If you want to know, you can only ask Chuck." "Who's he?" You ask. Suddenly, a tall man in a brown suit and hat come out of the room. A detective. You see him glare at Goku. "Hello, Samus," he says casually. He says it so casually that shivers run down your spine. You don't even know him. "How do you know me?" You ask. "I don't want to know any more weirdo's, thank you very much." "Oh please," he says. "I was once in the tournament. I managed to beat up your suit quite a bit. Remember?" #The memory suddenly comes back to you. Chuck managed to get you on the ground, and you had a gun right in your face. He looked like he was going to pull the trigger, but he didn't. He just walked away. You were still in it, but that kind of shook you up a bit. You never forgot him either. "I do," you say, "Are you a friend of Blue?" "Yes," he says. "Although we only met due to him becoming a werehog, and trying to tear me to pieces. He doesn't have to worry about that anymore, thank goodness. Come on in." "Please, let me back in," Goku says. "I'm sorry, honest." "Fine," Chuck says. "But..." "I'm on shaky ground," he finishes. "I know. Samus already threw that into my face." "Good," Chuck says. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who did." The three of you walk in. Blue is sleeping. At least, you think he is. There's no rising and falling of his chest, and you don't here much of a heartbeat. "Will he recover?" You ask. "Well, the chances are slim," he says. "But since Eggman did modify my serum, I'd say that it's a possibility." "I didn't think you were a scientist," you say. "Yeah, I was," Chuck says. He sighs. "Not anymore." "How do you know if he'll recover or not?" You ask. "We'll have to wait to see if he improves tomorrow. If he does, he has a chance." "I'm so sorry I hurt him so bad," You say. "I don't know what got into me. It was like..." "Being brainwashed?" Chuck asks. "Oh, I know. I felt the same way when I fought you. And I was close to shooting you, but something told me not to. I've heard it's worse now, though." "Yes," you say. "No rules, except that the loser dies." "A deathmatch," he says, then sighs. "I should have known Mario would make it that once Peach was out of the picture. Now, nobody is safe, meaning that everyone is on their A-game for sure this year." #Chuck turns on the TV, and you all hear that the tournament has been cancelled for this year. "Following the disqualification of Samus Aran, who has won the last few tournaments," The female reporter says. "This years tournament has been cancelled, giving all the players a fair chance to make themselves prepared for the Death Battle Royale that will happen next year..." #Chuck turns the TV off, and the room is quiet again. You look around, and see that Blue's half sister is sleeping on one of the beds. "Who's she?" You ask Chuck. "That's Saphire," he says. "She's had a rough life. Her whole father killed her whole village. That made her mute for a while, until she was willing to speak again. Sonic and Amy were so tired after every night of trying to get her to speak, but she finally spoke again, and I know that they're relieved." "Where are they?" You ask. "In bed," Chuck says. "When I told Amy what happened, I thought for sure she would faint, but Sonic caught her. Talk about hard. She didn't eat much, and she looked as pale as a ghost. I hope Blue will be alright, for everyone's sake." "I hope so too," you whisper. You lean against Chuck's head, and go to sleep.# *You wake up. Your right eye is only open a crack, and you can't see through your left one. "Interesting," Dr. Mario says. "Believe it or not, your condition has improved." "That's good..." You say in a hoarse voice that is almost a whisper. You sit up. "Blue..." he says. "You know you shouldn't sit up." "Why not?" You ask. Your voice is still quiet. "I'm awake, aren't I?" "You should probably go back to sleep," Dr. Mario says. "And deal with crazy dreams about everyone trying to kill me?" You ask. "I'm good." *You feel numb, but you can somehow sense the werehog sitting on your lap. It's still a puppy, and you think that it will remain that way, since it did come from your body. You suddenly realize that it's awake, and you pet it with your right hand, your stronger one. It licks your hand, having missed you like everyone else. Like everyone else. *You survey the room, and manage to make out Saphire, who is sitting right next to your bed. Then, there's your parents, Sonic and Amy, followed by Zircon, Saphire's real father, then Mia, Robroto, Chuck, Dive, Portal, and then... the bounty hunter. Goku is at the very end. "I thought for sure that you had brain damage," Dr. Mario says. "Even if it repaired yourself, I feared that it would be full of blank spots that would be hard to fill back up. But, apparently, you are still as smart as you have been for nearly a year." "Good," you say. "After I get out of here, I'm rejoining that tournament. I was to show that fat-faced plumber a thing or two." "It's been cancelled," Chuck says. "You and your publicity, I swear." *You snicker. "What's she doing here?" You ask nervously. "I am awake, aren't I?" "Well," Chuck says. "She's actually really sorry about what she did. And she did put Goku in his place." "Oh..." you say quietly. "Promise me you won't let Goku get to you like that again," Saphire says. "I promise..." You say. Saphire is glaring at Goku. "Saphire, please, don't hate him so much. He's not that bad. He just said something he shouldn't have. He wasn't the one who told me to join the tournament." "I guess that's true," Saphire says. "He didn't need to say how bad you were behind your back like that though..." *You nod. You go back to sleep. This time, you sleep peacefully.* |

""Well," Goku says. "School is very important. Not because of the academic aspect of it, but also because we want to help you in any way we can. Meaning that you must practice using your powers. So, I'm taking you to the beach today.""

Chapter 4: A Blue and his Shadows
$You sit on a sand dune in the desert. You see a few tarantulas and lizards scuttle across the sand, but the desert is quiet and peaceful otherwise. But you aren't in the desert to relax. You've come for Shadow. Suddenly, you see Shadow land on a sand dune in the distance. You run over to him. "Hello, brother," he says. "I'm surprised that you even care to call me that," you say. Shadow flies towards you, and you punch him in the face. This catches him off guard, but only for a moment. Suddenly, he digs out the Chaos Emeralds, and some stones, and suddenly, he's in a super powered mode, combining all of his super modes at once. "Light's out!" He exclaims, then punches you in the skull.$ @You are woken up to the sound of Dr. Mario pushing a medical bed down to the last room on the right, at the very end of the hallway. Robroto has since recovered from his injuries. "What happened?" You ask Amy as she runs down the hallway. "Goku's in critical condition," she says. "When we asked him what happened, he just said Shadow. Why would Shadow beat him up? They're brothers, aren't they?" "Isn't Shadow a double agent though?" You ask. "Oh yeah," Amy says. She then goes to Goku's room. @You decide to wake up Blue.@ *"Blue," you hear a voice say. "Wake up." *You wake up. You haven't recovered anymore, so you can still only see partially through your right eye. You see Saphire sitting by your bedside. Again. "What's up?" You ask her in your hoarse voice. "Goku's been hurt," she says. "I think him and Shadow got in a fight." "I want to visit him," you say. "I don't want to judge him for his past actions." "That's nice of you," Saphire says. "But, you need to recover first." *There hasn't been a change in your condition for a while. An hour later, Dr. Mario comes into your room. "Blue," he says. "I think it's time that we give you some robotic parts." *And become roboticized? "N..no thanks..." you say. "I don't want to." "Listen to me," the doctor says. "I know that you're a little nervous around robots, especially after what they did to your family, but I promise that I won't use any parts unless they are hack proof. Chuck made sure of that. He designed them." "He did?" You ask. "Ok, so I guess I can trust his word, but I still don't want to go too fast with the parts." "There'll be no need too," Chuck says as he enters the room. "In fact, I want to make sure that you don't become dependent on a bunch of robotic parts. We'll take our time, I promise." "Fine," you say. "I'll do it. Whatever gets me moving again." "So," Chuck says. "What do you want to start with?" "My arms and legs," you say. Many of your broken bones have healed, but none of your arm or leg bones did. "Will they have to be amputated?" "No," Chuck says. "I made robotic covers for your arms and legs. It'll be like some really heavy casts. However, I will need you to stand up. Which means that I need to give you eye drops, so you can know where you're going." "So, you'll have to open my eyes?" You ask. Chuck nods, and you groan. "Saphire, can you open his eyes?" Dr. Mario asks. "Yes," she says. "Try not to scream too much." "No promises," you say. She smiles slightly, and you feel a little happy about that. You know that what everyone is doing for you is for your own good. "I'll open your eyes on three," she says. "One... two... three...." *She opens your right eye. Since it was slightly open already, it doesn't hurt as bad. But then she opens your left eye, and you have to close your mouth to stop from screaming. But that doesn't work! "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" You exclaim. "S....sorry... it really hurts." "I know," Saphire says. "Now, there's gonna be a sting. Chuck'll put the eye drops on your eyes on three. One... two.... three!" *He puts eye drops in each eye, and Saphire has to hold them open for five minutes, to make you able to see again. You want to close your eyes, but you grit your teeth and keep them as open as possible, to make it easier for Saphire. "I'm sorry I have to put you through this," you say. "It's alright," she says. "You've been a great brother, even if you are somewhat accident prone." "More like the world hates me," you say. "Doesn't it hate us all?" She asks, then snickers. After the five minutes, you close your eyes again. "You should rest for a few hours," Dr. Mario tells you. "Because when you wake up, your next step will be to get yourself to a chair, so Chuck can put the robotic parts on your arms and legs much more easily." *You nod, then go back to sleep. You manage to sleep for four hours, but you can't sleep anymore. You wake back up. "You're awake?" Chuck asks. You nod. You open your eyes, and are finally able to see well again. Saphire's sitting on one of the other chairs in your room. You wonder why at first, but then you remember. Dr. Mario comes in. "Are you ready to get up?" Chuck asks you. You nod. You sit up, and carefully slide your legs off the side of your bed. "I'm ready to stand up," you say. "Alright," Chuck says. You carefully place both legs on the ground, and your feet are in extreme pain, but you start walking. Chuck makes sure you don't fall over. You are able to walk over to a chair next to Saphire, and you slowly sit down. "I didn't know if I'd ever be able to get up again," you say. "Well, you did," Saphire says. *Chuck puts the "metal casts" on, first on your legs, then arms. "I recommend that you stay here for an hour," Chuck says. "Let your body adjust to them." *You sit for an hour, catching up on what's been happening with everyone. It sounds like Saphire's been doing ok in school, which you're glad for. "Alright," Chuck says after an hour. "Since your arms and legs are covered up in metal, I wouldn't worry too much about falling, but you probably shouldn't, since the rest of your body is still weak, even if the rest of your bones have healed. I'll let Saphire help you walk to Goku's room." *You slowly get up. Saphire holds you up, making sure that you don't fall. You make sure to go slowly, that way you don't accidentally hurt her by falling down. A couple of times, you nearly slip and fall, but you manage to catch yourself with your arms, which are really strong actually. You make it to Goku's room in about five minutes, but that's alright. You're sure that the more you use your legs, the easier it will be to walk, and you will even be able to run again, although you doubt that you'll be able to run too much, since you do still have asthma. *When you get to Goku's room, you see that he's awake. Mia and Robroto are in his room, along with the bounty hunter. "What's her name?" You ask Saphire. "I don't think I ever asked her actually." "That's Samus," Saphire whispers. "From what I hear, she's part Chozo." "Isn't that a race of basically-extinct alien birds?" You ask. "And if she is part bird, then I doubt that whispering is going to help. She can hear us anyway." "But not everyone else," Saphire says, snickering. "What about Robroto?" You ask. "Oh yeah," Saphire whispers. The two of you sit at the end. Samus looks a little shocked that you're out of your bed after about a week. "Hello, Blue," Goku says. You look at him. He's black and white all over, much like his Yin-Yang amulet. He has the same spike formation like you. All hedgehogs have it, well, they do where you live. "You're back on your feet already?" "Barely," you croak. You feel your voice trying to become normal again, but the feeling comes and goes. "How are you awake so quickly? Saphire told me you were in critical condition." "Well," Goku says. "Chuck made sure to give us all serums that made us heal faster." "So he did develop one," you say. "Well, at least he beat Egghead to it." "Some victory," Robroto mutters. "Yeah," Goku says. "Look, I'd like to say sorry for getting you into this mess. I know that I didn't tell you to join the tournament and all, but I shouldn't have said that you were trash at fighting. In fact, one of our major rules as a spy, or detective, is that we must never say something too loudly around the public, since we can never know who may be listening, or watching. I just guess that, since you are one of Sonic's sons, I was expecting you to be able to fight better." "Like you were born a fighter," Samus sneers. You can sense tensions between her and Goku. "You said your freaking father was blown up by space pirates," Goku says. "If it hadn't been for some bird creatures, you would have never even been in the tournament!" "He sacrificed his life to save me," Samus says. "Stop trying to twist my life story to make me sound like the bad guy." "Why should I?" Goku asks. "You couldn't even save Adam!" "He also sacrificed his life," Samus says. "Don't expect me to, you piece of trash!" Goku exclaims. "Guys, stop it!" You suddenly yell. "Look, I'm sorry that your childhoods were trash. I'm sorry that I made you guys become polar opposites of each other, but do we really need to be at each other's throats? Why can't we just move on from this? Do you really think I want to remember this?" "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it," Samus says. "I never said that wasn't true," You say. Your voice has come back. "But, you really shouldn't dwell on it either. If we continued to dwell on our past, we would still be in the dark ages, maybe the stone age!" "Yeah sure Blue," Goku says. "I'm totally expected to forget that my mother sent me to this planet in a spaceship as a toddler! Baloney!" "Oh great," Samus says. "I actually have something in common with this cornhead!" "Cornhead?!? CORNHEAD?!?" Goku exclaims. "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CRIED OVER SOME ALIEN JELLYFISH CREATURE THAT WOULD EAT YOUR BRAINS AS MUCH AS IT WOULD HELP YOU!" "THAT WAS DIFFERENT!" Samus yells. "I HAD A MISSION TO DO!" "YET YOU BECOME ATTACHED TO YOUR VICTIM!" Goku exclaims. "WHAT THE FRICK IS THIS, A MARIO THEORY?!?" "IT WAS NOT A VICTIM! IT DECIDED TO SAVE ME BY CHOICE!" "BECAUSE YOU TRICKED IT INTO THINKING IT WAS YOUR FREAKING MOTHER! IT PROBABLY HAD AN IQ OF ZERO!" "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO HAS AN IQ OF ZERO!" "SAYS THE PERSON WHO WAS SHOT DOWN AND LOST HER SUIT!" "YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU HAVEN'T BEEN AMBUSHED BEFORE?!?" "I WON'T DENY THAT, BUT I CAN CERTAINLY DENY THAT I WAS AFRAID OF A FREAKING DINOSAUR RAPTOR CREATURE THAT I FOUGHT A BUNCH OF TIMES PREVIOUSLY! I CAN UNDERSTAND BEING AFRAID OF IT WHEN YOU FACE IT YOUR FIRST TIME, BUT WHEN YOU FACED IT YOUR THIRD-OR-SO TIME?!?" "RIDLY FREAKING KILLED MY FATHER!" "OH, BUT IF THAT DUMB BABY METROID KILLED YOUR FATHER, YOU WOULDN'T CARE LESS?!?" "OF COURSE I WOULD CARE! BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN, NOW DID IT!" "AT LEAST I ACTUALLY FOUGHT SOME SCARY CREATURES! YOU FOUGHT AN ALIEN CALLED MOTHER BRAIN! MOTHER-FREAKING BRAIN! WHAT KIND OF NAME FOR A MONSTER IS THAT?" "I COULD SAY YOUR MOM, BUT THAT'S NOT HOW I ROLL!" "I'M SURPRISED THAT YOU ROLL AT ALL! OH WAIT, NO I'M NOT, BECAUSE YOU'VE PROVEN YOURSELF TO BE MISS UNEFFICIENT!" "WHY DO ALL OF YOU DUMMIES BELIEVE EVERYTHING THEORISTS SAY?!?" "EINSTIEN WAS A THEORIST! AND HE WAS ONE OF THE SMARTEST PEOPLE EVER!" "YEAH, AND HE WAS BEAT OUT BY A FREAKING LIGHTISH-BLUE HEDGEHOG!" "WHO COULD HAVE PROBABLY WHOOPED YOUR REAR!" "I WON'T DENY THAT HE PUT UP A FIGHT, BUT HE DID EVEN HAVE TO KNOW ME. IT'S YOUR FAULT HE DOES!" *You've have enough. You stretch out your arms and pin Goku and Samus to their respective walls. "ENOUGH ALREADY!" You yell. "GET ALONG, OR I'LL MAKE SURE THAT MY DAD KICKS YOU OUT INTO THE STREETS!" "THAT'S NOT FAIR! SHE CAN USE HER SPACECRAFT TO FLY AWAY!" Goku exclaims. "OH YEAH," You say. "I'D MAKE SURE THAT HER SPACECRAFT WAS LOCKED AWAY!" "Fine, fine, we'll get along," Samus says. "Good luck with that," Goku says. Samus glares at him, and so do you, but you release them. "I think I'm ready to go back to my own room," You tell Saphire. The two of you go back to your room. You only have one more week left, and then you can be "released." Thankfully, the week flies by. *You are able to sleep in your own room again. Goku recovers quickly, and is able to continue teaching. Little do you know though, the month of November, which is also your birthday, will change your life forever. |

*It's November 5th, your birthday. Of course though, since you don't actually age anymore, and you don't really ask for much, it's less of a birthday party and more of a hangout. You and Saphire get bored quickly. "Let's explore the caves again," she says. "I don't know," you say. "I got beat up last time. I don't want to be again." "I doubt it's a big portal to a bunch of different universes," she says. "That last time was just a fluke." "Fine," you say. "We'll go." *So, the two of you go back to the caves. The layout looks different for some reason. "Why is the layout different?" You ask Saphire." "I don't know," she says. The two of you walk to the end of one grey tunnel, and suddenly see a portal. "You were wrong, Saphire," you say. "Not only is this place a portal to different universes, I think that we just found another universe." "Let's go in it!" Saphire exclaims, and runs into the portal before you can say no. You sigh, and run right in with her. You appear in the Abandoned City again, but this time, it's in complete ruins. Well, most of it is. "You got us into this mess," you say. "Great birthday present. Ugh..." Suddenly, you see buildings collapse, and the two of you run to what you believe is the safest building in the area: The Dome. It is made of glass, but all of the glass is strong enough to make a nuclear bomb bounce off. Not that you would want to be inside it when a nuclear bomb hits the city, as it would still probably kill you. *You look inside, and see Saphire's father, Zircon, in a corner, badly hurt. Saphire is right next to him. She is about four. Zircon notices the two of you. "Blue..." he says. "So somebody brought help..." *You're confused. He didn't know about you until he met you at the palace. How does he know you? "How do you know me?" You ask him. "I shouldn't know you until I'm four." "Well," he says. "I'm sure that you know that this is a different universe. Here, you are my son." *You stagger back a bit. "How?" You ask. "What happened to Sonic?" "Well," Zircon says. "Let's just say that Amy is your mother here, and that I am your father. Saphire is your sister." "And not my half sister?" You ask. "For real?" "Yes," Zircon says. Suddenly, you all hear more buildings collapse. One building collapses near the entrance to the dome, making it harder for anybody to get out. "My son is trapped in one of the buildings," Zircon says. "You need to help him." "Who's causing this?" You ask. "Sonic..." Zircon says. You stagger back, and trip, landing on your rear. You can see the sadness in his eyes, and know that he tried his best to prevent Sonic from going evil. "I'll find your son," you say after getting up. "Saphire, stay here. I might not make it, and I certainly don't want to lose you." *You exit the dome, and run through some rubble. Your robotic arms and legs function perfectly. Suddenly, you hear a blast behind you, and barely have enough time to duck out of the way before it hits you. You barely miss it. You look at the direction it came from, and see Sonic floating in the air. You get in a fighting stance. At first, he smiles, but then a second later, he doesn't. You're slightly confused, but you leap up and kick him in the face. He doesn't flinch at that at first, but then he does. Something feels off, but you don't know what. Then, for some reason, Sonic falls out of the air, and you hear his skull break. You try not to weep, but a few tears form. Of course though, you keep going. You look all over for your younger self, and are about to lose hope when a ladder nearly falls and crushes you. You duck out of the way, and see a small child in a building. The building is falling apart. The child looks a bit like you, but it has only the normal hedgehog hair formation, and it is about the size of a baby. You're about the size of a normal four year old. You hold up your arms. "I got you," you tell the child. It looks like it may go into your arms, but then it suddenly doesn't. What is wrong with everyone? Suddenly, the building collapses from under it, making the child fall right into your arms. You manage to catch it, but fall right on your back. You carefully get up. You have a small limp in your right leg from time to time. You take it back to the dome. You head back to the dome.* @Blue has been gone for an hour, and you get concerned. Suddenly he comes back, and at that moment the dome is lifted up by Metal Sonic, which is combined with Mecha Sonic and Silver Sonic. It also looks like it was combined with Sonic himself. Then, you start to fade away. "We have no time!" You exclaim. "Grab my hands! I can take you back with us." "No," your past self says. "I'm sorry, but it can't work. Things are meant to happen this way." "She's right," Zircon admits. "But, my son... he was never meant to be here." "What do you mean?" Blue asks Zircon. "Blue came to us from another dimension," Zircon explains. "He never belonged here, but his portal never appeared again, so I took care of him like he was my son. Because he still is my son, but from a different dimension." @Metal Sonic suddenly shoots Zircon. "Go," he says. You and Blue began to fade even more. The last thing you see is an explosion, before you go back to your dimension. The other Blue came with you. He looks scared. He seems ok with Blue at first, but then the kid shrieks. "Hand him to me," you say. "I don't know what you're doing to scare him, but you need to stop." "IT'S NOT ME!" He yells. But he does give the other Blue to you. "I DON'T KNOW WHY EVERYONE IS AFRAID OF ME!" @You realize that you've gone too far. He starts to cry, and as emotional as he can get, you rarely ever see him cry. You go over to him, and comfort him. "I'm sorry," you say. "I just thought it was one of your pranks." "Since when did I do pranks?" He asks. "The world really does hate me, doesn't it?" @The three of you head back to the palace. Blue heads to his room, where the werehog is sleeping. Goku decided to move into the palace, so his room is right near Blues. Blue looks sad, and doesn't come out of his room at all the rest of the day. You soon feel tired, so you bring the other Blue to Blue's room, hoping that Blue doesn't scare him to death. Then, you head to your own room.@ **You get some sleep in the foreign room, and it's actually relaxing, even with somebody who looks like you and a werehog who looks like you. But you don't sleep too deeply, so you are woken up by somebody rattling the door handles. Suddenly, you hear a movement from the bed, and you see three shadows, all of them looking like the other you. The first one is pure white, which you assume to be a good shadow. The second one is pure gray, which you assume to be a neutral shadow. The third one is pure black, which you assume to be the evil shadow. However, the three shadows seem to get alone fairly well, and the other you doesn't seem bad at all, so you assume that they help him fight. You question why your were afraid of them earlier, but then the black shadow grows sharp teeth and growls at you without actually growling. You remember why you were afraid of them, and start whimpering, but the gray shadow shushes you. The white shadow is crossing its arms. Suddenly, you hear the doorknobs rattling again, and the three shadows become paper thin, sliding under the door. You wait for them to leave and then you open the door a crack. You see Shadow managing to open a room. You hear it belongs to somebody named Goku. Suddenly, the white shadow grabs Shadow, the gray shadow glares at Shadow, and the black shadow goes to face Shadow. It then begins choking him, and then it starts crushing his neck. The gray shadow punches Shadow in the face, and then kicks him in the stomach. The black shadow breaks his arms and legs. You're sure that he's going to scream out in pain, but then his mouth is covered by the white shadow. The three shadows notice you, and they grow crowns. The Shadow King. You realize that the shadow of the other you is the Shadow King. The three shadows don't try hurting you though, so you hide under the covers, hoping that nothing else tries getting you. You soon fall back to sleep.** *You wake up, and see Saphire looking at you. She punches you, and kicks you in the stomach. You try getting up, but can't. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO SHADOW?!?" She screams. "Nothing..." You can barely say. Suddenly, the other Blue wakes up, and he tugs Saphire's shoulder. "WHAT?!?" She asks. The other Blue shows her a very detailed drawing of three shadows, one that is pure white, one that is pure gray, and one that is pure black. You glance at it, and see that it show the shadows beating up Shadow. They all have crowns on them, and you realize that they look like you. "The Shadow King," you say, gasping for air. "I... I told you I didn't do anything. Why didn't you believe me?!?" *Before Saphire can stop you, you run out of your room, out of the palace, and leap into a stream, hoping to be carried away. "STOP ACTING SO DRAMATIC!" She screams. You began to cry, and then you hit some rocks. *Next thing you know, you're in a hospital bed again. You start to cry loudly. "Why can't I ever get a break?" You ask. "Why don't I get any peace?" *You can tell that Saphire is pretty mad at you for the stunt you pulled. "Sorry," you mutter. "I understand if you hate me for good now..." *She softens up. "I can't be mad at you forever," she says. "I'm your sister. Well, half sister, but still. You helped me out so much in the past. It wouldn't be fair for me to hate you like that. Just please, stop being so dramatic, or I'll ship you to Siberia." *She snickers. "THAT'S NOT FUNNY!" You yell. "I'm not in the mood for jokes. Not anymore. Because I have three shadows now, who form the Shadow King, I'm in no laughing mood." "Please," Saphire says. "Don't act depressed." "WHY NOT?!?" You yell. "WHY DO YOU WANT ME TO CONTAIN MY EMOTIONS SO MUCH?!? WHY DO I HAVE TO BE THE STRONG ONE?!? WHY AM I THE PEACEMAKER?!? I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS!" *You suddenly realize that you're crying even more. "Just leave," you tell Saphire. "But..." "JUST GO!" You yell. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" *She looks sad, but goes anyway. You don't care though. You feel like trash, and you think it's her fault that she accused you of something you didn't do. You hear Chuck about to come in, but Saphire tells him to not go in. He goes in anyway, and you throw a glass of water at him. He runs out. "ANYBODY ELSE WHO TRIES COMING IN HERE IS GETTING SOMETHING IN THEIR EYE!" You yell. *You get out of the hospital that very day. When you do, you walk on the beach, frustrated with your whole life. Suddenly, somebody throws at rock at your head. You fall down, bleeding. You struggle to face the attacker, but when you do, you realize it's another Blue from a different dimension. The one that is the most similar to yours. "You are a weakling," he says. He suddenly steps on your face, crushing your skull. He isn't able to crush it in, because your three shadows suddenly become the Shadow King, who forms its right hand into a sword, and stabs the other Blue's brain. He collapses. The Shadow King flings him against the wall, making sure that he's not coming back, and it goes back inside of you. You sit on the beach for a few hours, unaware of when Saphire comes to you. "I'm sorry..." You croak. "I guess I just hated being accused of something I didn't do. And that you beat me up for it. I felt I couldn't trust you anymore. Can... can you forgive me?" "Yes," Saphire says. "I know you're sorry. I guess I was kind of wrong to punch you like that without asking you what happened first. I guess I should have figured that you were also a slightly-deep sleeper. I'm really sorry." "It's... alright," you say. "I haven't been the greatest brother. I want to change that. Even if it means acting like something I'm not." "Blue..." she says. "Don't change how you are if it means that you aren't being you. You've been a fine brother. Don't you think otherwise." *She picks you up, and sees your other self at the wall. She calls Chuck, and explains what happened. "Can you pick up the body?" She asks him. "Great. How's Shadow... oh, well, I hope you're right. Bye." "Shadow has decided to rejoin Chuck's team," she says. "Samus is also joining." "That's good," you say. Suddenly, you feel your skull be pieced back together. It heals then. You struggle to stand up, but you manage to. You slowly walk home. It's been one bad day. You head back to the palace, and decide to rest in your room. You don't come out at all.* |

Chapter 5: The Sickness
@Blue hasn't come out of his room for a week. As his half sister, you're getting concerned. At first, you thought that he was in a mood still, but now, you're not so sure. The werehog, which you have named Buddy, and the other Blue both got out of your half brother's room on day one basically. You open his door, thankful that he doesn't have to eat or drink. You're relieved that he can get a bit of time to think. You walk inside, and close the door. You regret the decision immediately. You are hit by the smell... of dry puke? @Blue is lying on his bed, barely breathing. He looks as pale as a ghost. "What's happened to you?" You ask him. He shrugs. "Saphire..." he says in a faint voice. He doesn't sound good at all. "What was your brother Ben like?" "Ben who?" You ask, not remembering the actual name of your brother. "You know, Ben," he says. "Short for Benjamin?" You ask. "Benitoite." @You suddenly remember. "What makes you bring him up?" You ask. "The very same thing that made me sick," he says. "Some hedgehog named Racc appeared at my window a week ago, about a day after I started feeling sick. He said he knew what caused me to get sick via cardboard signs. He also told me that he knew who your brother was, and who has the cure. He also mentioned that if I don't get the cure, I die..." "Who has the cure?" You ask. "Your brother," he says. "He's dead!" You exclaim. You slap Blue. He doesn't flinch. He doesn't even cry. Suddenly, you realize that he's completely emotionless. "No..." he says. "He's dead, yes, but not in every universe." "Where is he alive?" You ask. "In your wildest dreams," he says. "What's that supposed to mean?" You ask. "You know the tournament, of course," he says. "Well, in one universe, one dimension, the tournament is major. Everyone fights each other just to get money. Your brother is in that dimension." "And where is the dimension?" You ask. "The cave," he says. "But be careful. It has become more and more unstable. And also, somebody is guarding it now." "Who?" You ask. "People from Valve," he says. "Valve?" You ask. "What's that?" "A video game company," he says. "So what am I supposed to do?" You ask. "Ready to play with portals?" He asks. @And so, you find yourself near the cave, holding what Blue calls a Portal Gun. Samus confirmed that it is indeed a Portal Gun. So did Chuck. It seems like you're the only one who doesn't play many video games. You arrive at the cave. Like Blue said, there's some guards. "Halt," they say. "Nobody is allowed beyond this point." @You shoot a portal on the ceiling above one of the guards, and then you place the other portal beneath the guard that spoke to you. Both guards then collide with each other, and then are knocked out. You go forward. "Well, I guess Blue is right," A voice says behind you. "You are trustworthy." @You turn around, and see a hedgehog that is black, gray, and white. "The name's Racc," he says. "And I'm going to come along with you." "How can I trust you?" You ask. "It's easier to mislead a sick person." "Because," he says. "I am a friend of Goku." "Great," you mutter. "Fine, come along, but don't be such a loudmouth like him." @The two of you go into the cave, and find another portal. However, this one looks like the same type of portals produced by the Portal Gun. Racc enters first, and you follow behind him. Suddenly, you arrive in a glass cell, more or less. "Hello, Saphire," a voice says. "Mario's told me all about you. How noble of you, trying to save your half brother. You're even willing to drag a poor, innocent hedgehog into your mess. By the way, I only allow one person in my tests in a time, unless, of course, you're a couple of robots." @Suddenly, a hand snatches Racc and takes him away. "Now," the voice says. You realize that it's a female, but it sounds robotic. "Let's see how you can handle my tests. By yourself." @You look down. "Oh yeah," the voice says. "I recommend that you don't land in that stuff. It's not very dirty water. No, you could almost say it's like acid. So, don't touch that." @You see a cube with a heart. "Don't trust her," it whispers. "Don't trust GlaDoS, don't trust her, don't trust the voice, don't trust Aperture..." @Another robotic hand grabs the cube and plunges it into the floor goo. It screams, and then dies. "Nah un un!" The voice exclaims. "I can't have that cube revealing my secrets. By the way, Saphire, you wouldn't want to know them, and frankly, I'm not willing to reveal them, not like I did...." "With Chell...." "Oh dear," you mutter. "I better figure this out." @You hold out your portal gun, and make a portal to clear a gap from your platform to another platform. You put a portal on your platform, and get to the other side. "Hmm," the voice, which you assume to be GlaDoS, says. "Basic. You're going to have to do a lot more than that." @You keep going. You get through a ton of tests, and you finally find Racc. You go to him. He's sitting in a wooden chair, tied up, and suddenly, walls surround him. "You made it past my test," GlaDoS says. "But this is not the end of your journey. NARRATOR!" @Everything goes black around you. When you wake up, you're in an office. "This is the story of a woman named Saphire," A male voice says. It reeks of narration. "Perfect," you mutter. "Who else knows my name? The Muffin Man?" @You sigh, but open the door. "Saphire steps out of the office," the narrator says. "Thanks, Captain Obvious," you say. "Saphire is a very dumb girl with no friends, and has a big attitude," the narrator says. "She does not realize that her opinion does not matter here, in the office building, the very one that Stanley explored, before he did his choices." @The narrator grates on your nerves. You contemplate a way to escape, but not noticing any way to escape, you continue forward. You go down some hallways, and appear at two open doors. "When Saphire arrived at two open doors," the narrator says. "She chose the one on her left." @You don't trust the narrator, and so you choose the door on your right. "This is not the way to go," the narrator says. "But Saphire does not know this, as she doesn't trust me, or is looking for her friend Racc." "SHUT UP!" You scream. You are getting super annoyed, but have no choice but to go forward. You arrive at an elevator. "Much like Stanley," the narrator says. "Saphire tries her best to not listen to me." @You see a little side area, and when the elevator goes to it, you leap off the elevator. "Fine, don't trust me," the narrator taunts. "But you need me. You have no idea where to go." @You go through the blue door, and then you find yourself at a machine. "You have a choice," the narrator says. "Either shut down the machine, and never get the cure, or turn on the machine, and have a chance to save your brother. The choice is yours." @It seems like a hard decision, but you think what your brother would want you to do. You turn off the machine completely, and everything turns to black. |

@You suddenly wake up to Goku tapping you on the shoulder. "How did you get in my classroom?" He asks. "And why are you sleeping on the floor?" "Huh?" You ask, bewildered. "I honestly don't know. You're classroom was obviously locked, so I guess I got through a window. I guess that Blue's worrying me more than I thought. What day is it? And has somebody gotten a cure yet?" "It's Saturday," Goku tells you. "And no, there's still no cure. Chuck says that Blue needs to just fight it off. His body is weak from all the stuff Eggman put in him. No, could you please go back to the palace and sleep there?" "I think I'm done sleeping," you say, heading back to the palace. "What's the last thing you remember?" He asks. "All I remember is Blue asking me about my dead brother," you say. You then head back to the palace. You assume that after Blue asked you about your brother was where you fell asleep, and started sleepwalking. When you get back to the palace, you head back to Blue's room. He looks even worse. He's not any paler, but his nose is surrounded by red marks, and his eyes are watering. But worst of all is his smile, or rather lack of one. He has the face of not caring, no longer laughing or crying at anything. He looks emotionless, empty, dead, even if he isn't dead physically. You sit down next to him. His beautiful blue eyes are now grey. It almost wants you to run out of his room screaming who took Blue, and replaced him with this... carcass. But you don't. As much as you want to, you know that the real Blue is on the bed. This makes you tear up a bit, but you hold back the tears. "You asked me what my brother was like earlier," you say. He nods. "Well, my brother was really great. I never knew him much, since he did die along with my mother and almost the rest of my village, but he was always happy, always laughing, even at the most idiotic things. But he could also be really caring, and serious when he knew that you were in the dumps. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss him, but I'm sure that he's glad that I have a brother like you, even if you are only my half brother." "Where were you?" He asks. "I didn't hear your voice all morning." "Well," you say. "Somehow, I sleepwalked into our classroom at the school." "Goku woke you up?" He asks. "I know that Goku goes back to the school on Saturday to prepare for his lessons." "How?" You ask. "He's barely been with us a week." "I... kind of... spied on him on Saturdays too..." Blue admits. "Oh," you say. "I'm not sure if I should stay in here for too long. I probably wouldn't like to catch what you got." "So you don't want to become emotionless like me?" He asks. You were walking of the room when he asks that, so you turn around. "Look, I'm sorry, but I guess I can't handle being the sunshine in your life anymore." "Do you seriously think I made you sick?" You ask, slightly mad. But your anger subsides when you see his face. "I've tried to think of anything else that would make sense," he says. "I can't. I don't want to blame you, but I guess I've been put under too much stress. And I can't forget. I can't forget you nearly strangling me... I can't forget a thing. I've tried. I just can't." "I know it's been hard for you," you say. "But please, don't blame me." "Then you should probably leave," he says. So, you do. You check on Blue a few more times that day, but his condition doesn't improve. That Monday, you are in for a shock. @You and the other students sit in the same position as usual, but you have a new student. "Hello, students," Goku says. "I'd like to introduce the new student that will be in your class." @You turn around, and see...Racc? No, it can't be. How can he be here? "His name is Racc," Goku says. He seems shy, but something about him tells you that he isn't defenseless either. He sits across from Sonic Jr., who goes by Spike. Spike fits him well too. He's actually the class bully. He's got to you a couple of times, but thankfully, he hasn't been too serious on you. He's pretty scary though. A couple of kids have got their heads put in toilets, and Goku doesn't even try to stop him, as Spike has actually beat up some adults once or twice. Of course, nothing bad happens on Racc's first day, but the second day, Spike targets him. All of you have lockers, so the morning period before school starts is the only time Spike can actually do anything. You are putting what you don't need in your locker when you hear Spike speak. "Hmm, another student?" He asks. "They never learn do they?" "Says the person who's full of himself," Racc mocks. "I've been on the street, boy. I still live on the streets, so I'm not gonna deal with your trash." "I'm also still livin' on the streets," Spike admits. "Most call me trash because of you, but you know what they call weak trash like you? Garbage." @Suddenly, Spike swings his fist. You expect Racc to back down, but he grabs Spike's fist, and when Spike swings his other fist, Racc grabs his other fist. Holding both of Spike's hands in his hands, Racc manages to kick Spike in the stomach, letting go of Spike's hands afterwards. But Spike is back up on his feet. He tries to kick Racc in the face, but Racc catches his leg, and starts squeezing Spike's foot. Spike kicks his other leg at Racc's face, but Racc, not "missing a punch," squeezes Spike's other foot. The pain causes Spike to fall on his rear, and he clenches his feet, before standing back up. He looks wobbly, and barely manages to grab Racc's shoulders and squeeze them. "Ya don't do a massage thataway," Racc says. Spike tries to punch Racc one more time, and Racc punches him in the face. He stands up still, but when he tries punching Racc again, Racc tackles him. You hear his skull crack. "Whoops..." Racc says as he stands up again. He looks guilty. He leans over Spike. Suddenly, Goku comes out. "What happened?" he asks Racc. "We kind of got in a fight," Racc admits. He looks really embarrassed and guilty. You can see tears falling. "Sorry... I don't belong here. Thank's for tryin', but I belong in the streets." @He walks out the door. You go over to Goku, who is leaning over Spike. Suddenly, you hear a faint squeaking noise, followed by a yelp, and then a loud crash. You run outside, and see Racc on the ground. "I can't get up," he says. "Guess I deserve that for hurting Spike so badly." @You pick him up, trying to make sure to not drag him on the concrete walkway, and then Goku helps you bring him all the way in. "I've told the students that it'll be an hour for us to take these two back to the palace," Goku says. "Can't the hospital take them?" You ask. He shakes his head. "They're considered street rats to everyone in the main city," Goku tells you. "And the hospital doesn't take street rats." @So, the two of you take Spike and Racc back to the palace, before you two go back to class. Because of what happened, Goku has to make class a bit shorter, but says that everyone in the class will have to get to school about an hour earlier tomorrow. However, everyone seems relieved now that Spike was put in his place. After school Wednesday, you go to Spike's room. You feel that he needs a friend, even if he was a bit of a jerk. When you get to his room, you see Blue in there. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT OF YOUR ROOM?!?" You scream. He seems like he flinches a bit, but not enough to be noticeable. "Sonic told me that I should be in here," Blue says. He looks even sicker. "Well, I don't want you out of your room," you say. "You look even worse." "I'm fine," he says in a monotone voice. It feels like a slap to the face. Suddenly, Chuck comes in. "C'mon Blue," he says. "I'll be in here with Saphire." "Why did Sonic want Blue in here?" You ask Chuck. "He's freaking sick!" "Sonic doesn't want in there with that "rat," Chuck says. "Believe me, I was wondering why he called him a rat. He claims that it was one of his sons that ran away, because he didn't get enough attention." "I'm going to find out the real reason," you say. Chuck shakes his head. "No," he says. "Let's see what his reason is first." @Chuck takes Blue back to his room, and then comes back in the room. Just as he sits down, Spike wakes up. "Where am I?" He asks drowsily. You look at him. He does look like Sonic's son, with the blue skin and green eyes. There's medical tape covering his head, used to protect his fractured skull. Racc is in the bed next to him. He has casts on his arms and legs, and also on his whole back. He is resting right now. "Welcome back to the palace," Chuck says. "My name is Chuck." "Great," Spike says. "It wasn't bad enough that Sonic thought I was trash before. Now, he's gonna be able to insult me more." "What do you mean?" You ask. "Sonic wasn't ready to have another son," he says. "And neither was Amy. She managed to get me into a foster home when I was four, but the lady there was really cruel, so I ran away." "Sonic's changed though," you say. "Trust me. I made him change. He acted a little bit of a jerk to me, but since I wouldn't speak, for reasons I rather not explain yet, I didn't speak. Finally, he lightened up." "But why did he call you a rat?" Chuck asks Spike. "Because, I was always a pest to him," Spike admits. Suddenly, Sonic comes in. "Well, look what the cat dragged in..." He mutters, then sighs. "I guess I probably shouldn't say that, but from what I've heard Goku tell me about you, I can't say I didn't see this coming." "You should have been a better parent," Spike sneers. "I DID WHAT I COULD!" Sonic suddenly yells. "ME AND AMY SENT YOU TO A FOSTER HOME!" "WITH A HAG!" Spike yells back. "NO, SHE WAS A WITCH!" "WE DIDN'T KNOW THAT UNTIL NOW!" Sonic yells. "SHE SEEMED NICE TO US!" Sonic suddenly calms down. "I'm sorry. Saphire was right. I heard her talking in here. I do admit that I was a jerk. I'm sorry. I don't expect you to trust me, but I did want to tell you that I am sorry." Sonic exits the room. "Hmpth," Spike mutters. But something seems to have changed. "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have scared you guys so badly." "Alright," you say. "Is Racc alright?" Spike asks. "Better than you," he mutters. "Lucky," he mutters. Suddenly, you all hear a loud sneeze. It's Blue." "Jeez, who was that?" Spike asks. "My other half brother," you say. "I'm your half brother?" Spike asks. "Well, that explains things." @You head to Blue's room. When you open his door, you nearly faint. Blue looks even worse. The werehog, which is named Buddy, is sitting on his bed. "You're looking even worse," You tell Blue. You feel his forehead, and it nearly burns your hand. You're sure that it's a flu. "Blue..." you say weakly. "I'm sorry for stressing you out so much." "It's alright," he says very quietly. "I know you didn't mean too." "I guess I'm worried that I'll never see you happy again," you say. You feel tears forming. "I'd feel better if Mario was gone," Blue says. "Did you know that he's going to compete in the next tournament that is happening this year?" "It's happening this year?" You ask. Blue nods. "Well, let's get you feeling better, alright?" "Ok..." he says. You look at him, and you see a small smirk. He seems a little bit happier now. You get out of his room and breath a sigh of relief. Blue continues to get better, and you're glad. You can sleep once again. |

Chapter 6: The Match
>A servant walks into your dark ruling quarters. "What is it?" You ask in your loveably-grueling voice. "He...here's the list..." The guard stutters. He hands you the list, and then waits. You overview the list. "Hmm, very good," you say. You see no mention of Samus, which kind of makes you sad, but fresh blood is inevitable. You see some reoccurring faces mentioned, but also one or two new ones. You suddenly come across a name that stands out to you: Blue. "Isn't Blue one of Sonic's kids?" You ask the servant. "Yes Mario... I mean sir!" The servant says. You sigh. "You know how many times I've told you not to mention my name?" You ask. "YOU'RE LUCKY THAT I'M AT MY CASTLE, AND THAT I'M TRYING TO GET INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!" "Yes sir!" The servant says. You dig out a pencil and pair the fighters against each other. You decide to be devious when you come to Blue though. "I'll have that kid see if he can stop my weaklings first," you say. "Then, I want him to fight against my pride and joy." "Yes sir!" The servant exclaims. You hand the list to him. He swiftly exits your chamber, who's door is a jail cell door. You laugh manically. "Oh, I've got you now, Sonic!" You exclaim. You then take a nap.< *It's December at last. The second tournament is happening in December that year, during Christmas week. Oh well. You don't really like getting much anyway. Most presents seem childish to you. Of course, you have to wait by the mailbox for Paracarry to get there, just to make sure he doesn't mix up your packages or general mail again. Finally, around noon, he comes. "A letter for you," he says. "That's all, for now." *Paracarry wipes away sweat that has collected on his forehead before he flies away, ready to deliver more mail. You look at the letter. You open it, examining everything on it. It's an invitation to compete in the tournament. "That's interesting," you say. You sigh. Even though you want to be happy, even excited that you can compete in the tournament again, that the invitation says that, "you show some skills, and we think that you will make a fine edition to the team," you don't know how long you will last. Sure, you managed to stop Samus a few times, but you couldn't beat her. She pasted you. You're one happiness is that it's not another deathmatch tournament. You sigh, walking inside. You have to show it to Saphire.* @You look at the letter. "You're invited to compete in the second one too?" You ask Blue. "Yeah," he says. "You get to watch me get pasted again." "Your skills have improved," you tell him. "By how much?" He asks. "I still can't beat anybody very well. I barely even slowed down Goku the last time." "Well," you say. "Just try." @So, two weeks later, you and everyone else in his family comes to watch him compete in the tournament.@ *You see the crowds form almost instantly. Suddenly, you realize that the whole population of the planet is there. That makes you feel a little queasy, but you decide to stay calm. You wonder what your first opponent will be. "ALRIGHT!" The announcers yell. Saphire covers her ears, like usual. She does not like being yelled at. You sigh. "LET'S GET THIS STARTED! First up... erm.... BLUE... VERSES... A wooden pirate ship." *You want to laugh. A pirate ship should be easy. The pirate ship comes on stage, and suddenly, some animals pop up. You don't feel as happy now. You didn't think that the pirate ship would be populated. You can see... a squirrel, a few monkeys, and a whole ton of pirates. "3.... 2..... 1.... GO!!!!!!!" *You lunge at the pirate ship, making sure to avoid the cannonballs that are flying with you. You were permitted any items that fit in a backpack, but you couldn't fit a sword in there. You get ready to go in hand-to-hand combat with the pirates. Immediately, at least twelve of them point their swords at you.* >You can see the action all the way up from your seat. "Sir," your servant says. "Are you sure it was such a good idea to invite a kid?" "HE'LL DO FINE!" You yell. "NOW GET OUT OF HERE!" >You feel frustrated with the servant, but he may have a point. The kid is only dodging the attacks. You wonder what you were thinking.< *You barely dodge another swipe of a sword. You need to stop these pirates, and now. You run through the masses of pirates, hoping to get enough time to find something that you can block their attacks with. "Say, is that kid allowed to run through that mass of pirates like that?" An announcer asks. "I guess so," the other announcer tells his buddy. "The only rule is that a person, group, or entity must be standing for the round to end." *You manage to look through your backpack. You take out a shield. It's cardboard! You quickly close up your backpack and get it back on. Cardboard will have to do. *You manage to thrust your shield at the pirates, who keep putting their swords through the shield. You think you've surely lost when suddenly, a sword gets stuck. You quickly grab it before a pirate can, and now, you're on evener grounds. You thrust your sword at the pirates, who don't seem very scared. Suddenly, you see the ground. It is a bunch of water. You start throwing the pirates into it. Once you've thrown all of them into it, you win. "Blue wins his first match!" The announcers exclaim. You move up a space. This goes on for the rest of the matches. You see some familiar faces, like Megaman and a ton of Undertale characters, but you also see some new faces. You manage to get through them all. That takes four days. The fifth and final day is Christmas Day. You go home for the day on Christmas Eve, hoping that you are ready to face off against whoever is the "pride and joy" of the tournament.* >You sit alone at your chair, looking at the statistics. "Blue has really proven himself worthy," you tell the stale air of your dark, moldy room. "Won't Blue be in for a surprise tomorrow though? He still needs to stop my pride and joy. What a shock that person will be. Ahahahahahaha! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" >You go to sleep, eager for the next day to come.< |

*The next day, you are ready to finish up the tournament. It's Christmas Day, meaning that hardly anyone is at the event. In fact, none of your family came, understandably, of course. Only Chuck seemed interested in coming. You are ushered into the arena rather early this time. "Now, let's get this started..." an announcer mutters. Suddenly, somebody in a cloak comes on the stage. Something feels familiar about it. "Alright!" An announcer yells. "Welcome to the final competing match! Now, as you can see, Blue's made it through all of our fighters up to this point. If he can win this match, he shall face Mario. But this match won't be easy. Now, on the left is our favorite... BLUE! And on the right, equally our favorite... GREEN!" *Suddenly, the cloak comes off. It's your sister. You thought it was when the announcer mentioned her name, but you couldn't believe it. Something feels wrong. You're speechless. "I guess it's a classic case of sibling rivalry," the other announcer comments. You sigh. You try not to think about what happened, but you can't get it out of your mind. "Y'know," An announcer says. "To make sure that these two are ready, I think we'll take a half-hour break." *The two of you are ushered out of the arena. You look as pale as a ghost, and Chuck notices this. "What's wrong, Blue?" He asks. "She's my sister..." you mutter. "She ran away, much like Spike, but her story is much different." *You find yourself telling Chuck what happened to Green. It was on a cool fall day, and your fourth birthday was one day away. All of you were sitting at the dinner table, for once. For some reason, Green leaves early. "May I please be excused?" You ask a few minutes later. "Yes," Amy says. You get off your chair, pushing it in, before you run off over to where your sister is going. You find her sitting by a small lake. "What's wrong, sis?" You ask. Suddenly, she grabs you by the neck and starts strangling you, and then she hits you against a wall. "I HOPE EGGMAN KILLS YOU!" She screams at you, before she runs off, never to be seen after that. She was 19 at the time. Now, she's 20. "Do you suppose that she knew that Eggman was going to experiment on you?" Chuck asks after you're done telling him what happened. "I have a feeling that she did," you say. The match starts in five minutes, so you and Green are ushered back in the arena. You can see how much she looks like Amy, except that she's green all over. "LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!" The announcers suddenly yell. Without warning, Green lunges right at you, and manages to pick you up and swing you at a glass wall. Suddenly, you realize that it is a deathmatch. You get up, and go right after your sister, kicking her in the stomach. She doesn't even flinch, and she grabs your leg, and twists it. "OW!" You scream. You punch her, trying to get her to let go of your leg. After a minute, she does. You suddenly leap at her face, and tackle her. She tries to push you off, so you punch her in the head. Hard. She falls over, and suddenly, you hear her skull crack a bit. She does get up though, and grabs you, throwing you at the same glass wall. You get dazed, and barely have any reaction time before she picks you up again. But suddenly, she slips on some water that was on the ground, and falls on her head. It cracks open. Suddenly, a laser sword appears. You grab it. "Go ahead and kill me..." Green spits. "I probably deserve it anyway." *You pick up the sword, and act like you're going to lunge it into her head, but you lunge it into the ground next to her head. "Well, Blue wins," the announcers says. You don't feel like killing your sister. You turn around, and are walking towards the exit when a bullet hits your heart. You collapse. Everything goes dizzy. Green gets up. You can hear laughter, but not from the small crowd. It's Mario. You're sure of it. The crowd gasps. Green goes over to you. "I'm sorry... Blue..." she says sympathetically. You see tears form in her eyes. Suddenly, she feels a metal panel on your head. Then, the crowd starts chanting your name. "It looks like Green's actually helping out her younger brother!" An announcer says. Blue! Blue! Blue! *Green starts to put some flash drives in your head, which is partially robotic now. BLUE! BLUE! BLUE! *You slowly get up, and suddenly, you feel no pain. When you look down, you see no blood coming out. You feel fine. Green then runs out an exit. Mario slowly walks down to the arena, and then, it is closed up again. "You have proven yourself to be worthy," Mario says. "But sadly, I just can't have somebody who's not willing to kill. Of course though, I'll give you a second chance by fighting me!" *Mario suddenly takes out a fire flower, and uses it, turning into Fireball Mario. Without warning, the Chaos Emeralds swirl around you, and then, you feel your super form, then your dark form, your darkspine form, and then your werehog form. You are then surrounded by golden armor, and you have two Excalibur swords, one in each hand. The fight has began. Mario shoots fireballs at you, and you have to dodge them, knowing that they'll melt your armor. You lunge at Mario, but he skids out of the way. Drats! You time your jumps, making sure to avoid the fireballs. You keep doing this for about ten minutes, but then, you get an opening. You lunge right at Mario, and manage to stab a sword in his heart. He collapses, turning normal. You turn normal too. Suddenly, you hear a shot from a blaster, and people start screaming, running away. The two announcers quickly get out too. You hear Eggman's voice. "DID YOU REALLY THINK WE WOULD LET YOU GET RID OF MARIO FULLY?" He asks. You run, knowing that you won't make it by staying in the arena. You run to the closest building, which is a hall of mirrors. You quickly get ready for Eggman to come. He does. "COME ON OUT, BLUE!" He yells. "YOU'RE SO DEAD RIGHT NOW!" *You peek out from behind a mirror, and Eggman sees your reflection. He shoots a mirror on the opposite side. It shatters. You peek out from behind another mirror, and he shoots the one on the opposite side of the other mirror. You peek behind from yet another mirror, and again, Eggman shoots the one on the other side. Then, you run out of mirrors that you could effectively use. You suddenly find a glass pane that looks like a mirror. It looks pretty strong. You appear behind it, and Eggman shoots it. But instead of shattering, the glass pane reflects his shot back at him, and Eggman is blasted. He collapses on the ground. "METAL SONIC WILL BE SURE TO GET YOU! Eggman yells. Suddenly, Metal Sonic appears, and you run out of the Hall of Mirrors. *You keep running for a while. You run through a small, sandy piece of land, and Metal Sonic tries shooting you. You suddenly find yourself in a jungle. Bugs bite you, and even a snake bites you, but you keep running. You keep running until you find yourself at a waterfall. Metal Sonic is close behind you. Suddenly, he catches up to you, and tries shooting you. You are allergic to water, but you know that you need to jump. So, you do. %You watch what Metal Sonic sees through his eyes. Blue just jumped into a waterfall. He won't stand a chance. "Metal Sonic!" You yell through a microphone. "Yes, Eggman?" Metal Sonic asks in a monotone voice. "Don't worry about trying to find Blue's body," you say. "He's bound to be gone." Metal Sonic starts heading back to your base. You look at Mario. "YOU'LL BE MY PAWN YET!" You yell at him while shaking your left fist. "Ahahahahahaha! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"% ?You sit at your home. You are ready to start packing the rest of your stuff up, and brining it to the palace, when you hear a knock. Your door is locked, so you unlock and open the door. Green comes in. You close the door. "Have you seen Blue anywhere?" She asks you. "No," you say. "I had to kind of run with the crowd, or I would have been trampled. Why do you want to know?" "I was wrong to scare Blue the way I did," she admits. "You see, ever since he was born, I always felt jealous of him. He had friends, and even though he didn't get much attention from his parents, he did get plenty from Mia. So, I made a deal with Eggman. I would help Eggman capture him, and in return, Eggman would have to leave everyone else on the planet alone. That deal hasn't really been broken, even to this day." ?You nod. Suddenly, you get a feeling that you should check your lists of missions that you give your spies. When you look, you see a list and a spy kit missing. "Is something missing?" Green asks. "Yeah," you say. "It's odd though. I always lock my doors and windows, especially when I'm out of the house." You look at a window, and realize that it's broken. "Somebody broke in," you say. "We need to go to the palace!" "Was it Blue?" Green asks. "I think so," you say. You lock your door, and the two of you exit the house, running over to the palace.? @You and everyone else is sitting at your dinner table. You rarely do this, but for major holidays, you do. Blue hasn't showed up though, and you're getting concerned. Suddenly, you hear a knock on the door. "I'll answer it," you say. You get up, push your chair in, and open the door. Chuck is standing at the doorway, along with Green. You heard what happened during the tournament, as you watched it on TV. "What's wrong?" You ask Chuck. "Is Blue there?" He asks you. "No," you say. "Why? Is something wrong?" "I think Blue stole a spy kit I had," Chuck says. "And a list of missions too." @You're shocked. Blue's become a spy, and since he stole the items, you know he's abandoned you. "Well..." you say, feeling sad now. "Come on in." @You all eat some dinner, but not much. Most of you, even the adults, just pick at your food. You're not up to eating. The rest of that day goes by quietly. You would usually go Christmas Caroling at night, but you aren't up to it. None of you are. You go to bed early. You can't get to sleep for a few hours, but you finally do. You can only hope that Blue is alright, wherever he is now. |

Chapter 7: The Return *You sit in your aircraft, getting ready to land in a rainforest. You are using a 2335B Model helicopter; The Nightstalker. You have it on autopilot. You're glad you were able to make it have autopilot, or you wouldn't be able to complete this current mission. You are about 12 miles away from the landing site. You go over the plan once more. You will parachute down to the ground and head over a mountain. Six miles away form the landing zone. You check to see if your parachute is working. Three miles away. You open the door, and then, just 12 feet away, you go out of the helicopter, ejecting your parachute. The wind carries you to the landing site. Just as you expected. Your helicopter goes back to your base. You then cut your parachute, which is a balloon, when you are about a couple inches from the ground. It goes up, and your helicopter grab onto it with a robotic hand. You then take out a bamboo knife, which can cut much more than just bamboo, and make your way through the rainforest. Any insects or other wildlife stays away from you. Your journey takes 1,000 miles, but you finally make it to the mountain. You climb up it, and down it. You see a blaster. "Eggman," you mutter. The blaster shoots at you rather quickly, and you barely avoid the first twelve shots. Then, it gets you with the thirteenth. You try shooting your blaster at it, but are unsucessful. You are blasted into the mountain, and your back breaks. You struggle to move your arms, but you just barely manage to shoot your blaster at a pile of snow that built up, causing an avalanche, before you go unconscious into the snow. It sweeps you, and Eggman's snow base, away.* @You sit in a comfortable chair in your cabin. Chuck sits acrossed from you in an equally-comfortable chair. You wonder where Blue is. It's never been the same since he left. Sonic has stopped moving anywhere, and he just sits in a chair all day, letting life pass him by. Amy's tried her best to cope, but at night, you can hear her crying. You decided to move out two years ago, a day after you turned 18. You look at your emergency radio. Suddenly, it blares. Chuck jumps a bit. "JEEZ!" He exclaims. "That thing always suprises me. Robroto comes up to him. Robroto's changed a lot ten years ago. One night, he went missing, and the next day, he appeared on the palace porch, all beaten up. He's never talked since that day. He's also scared of everything, so he jumps too when he hears the radio. You listen to what it says. "Avalanche at Green Peak Mountain," the radio buzzes. "Eggman base wiped out. Small, blue figure last seen up on mountain ten minutes before avalanche." "Blue figure?" You ask? "Could it be.." "I think it is," Chuck says. "C'mon, let's go. Blue's not gonna last long if he catches hyperthermia." @You two get your coats on and head up the mountain. You know that the medical team won't find him in time, but with Chuck's DNA tracker, you two just might. You two break into a run. Every second counts.@ *You barely wake up. You are face down in snow. All your limbs are hurting, and you feel super cold. You're still allergic to water, so you feel that your face has puffed up a bit. You can't move. You can't even see. But you can hear. And you hear some footsteps coming towards you. And voices. You can make out two separate voices. But, you go unconscious again just as the figures start to dig you out of the snow. *You then wake up again on a couch. Your forehead is burning, and you hear constant ringing in your ears, which are also beating hard. All of your limbs hurt, and you can barely open your eyes. You haven't felt this helpless since your last accident... what, 16 years ago? Has it really been that long now? Suddenly, you hear Saphire's voice. "Hey Blue," she says. Suddenly, you try to sit up, but you can't. Your back is hurting badly. You try again and again, with no avail. "Don't move too much, Blue," another voice suddenly says. It's Chuck. And you think you can hear a bit of anger in his voice. You wonder why at first, and then you remember. You did kind of steal a list of missions, along with a spy kit, which may have been a lifetime of work for Chuck to obtain in the first place. "So, you've finally come back. What were you thinking, stealing something from me?" *Why had you done it? "To... prove to myself... that I was more than just a mistake..." you struggle to say. You close your eyes again. You can't see much of anything anyway. "I told you, Chuck," Saphire says. "How was I supposed to know for sure though?" Chuck asks Saphire. "I'm not sure what's going on in his head!" *Tears run down your cheeks. Saphire notices. "Blue... look, please, no more of this. Ok? I don't want you to get hurt. Not like this..." "I'm fine though!" You snap. "YOU NEARLY DIED!" She yells. "YOU HAVE HYPERTHERMIA, AND YOU'RE LUCKY WE FOUND YOU IN TIME!" *Hyperthermia. Oh no. You start to cough hard. You can't get too cold, because your immune system is kind of weak due to what Eggman did to you. "Oh boy," Saphire says. You start to feel hot all over. Suddenly, Saphire touches your head, and you began to feel cool. You find this odd. "Since... when did you have powers?" You barely manage to ask. "I don't know, honestly," she says. "Just, please, promise me you won't do anymore of this." *You sense that Saphire is probably hiding something, but you don't press her. "Fine," you say, defeated. Suddenly, Robroto comes up to you, but slowly. You can sense vibrations, so you're able to see a bit. Robroto seems scared. You wonder why. "What happened to him?" You ask Chuck. "I honestly don't know," Chuck admits. "One night, about ten years ago, he went missing, and the next morning, he appeared on the palace porch. He looked beaten up, but I'm still not sure as to what happened. *You pat Robroto's head. He tries to run back to his corner, but you manage to grab him. You find some pillow at the other end of the couch, and grab them. You then put them behind your back to help you sit up. You hold Robroto. He feels cold, and you have a feeling that it's not because of your body temperature at the moment. "He feels cold, Chuck," you say. "I'm not suprised," Chuck says. "Unfortunatly, he's been scared of us. We struggled to bring him to this cabin. I've tried to put a blanket on him, but he'd always run away from me." "Maybe you just had to catch him," you say. Chuck sighs, and leaves the room. A few minutes later, he comes back with a blanket. You take it and wrap it around Robroto. Robroto takes it off, so you put it around yourself. "It's no use," Chuck says. "He's just not willing to let anybody try to help him." "I feel sorry for him," you say weakly. "I bet it's hard when you can't trust anybody." Suddenly, a radio blares. "Since when did you have a radio?" "It's for emergencies," Saphire says. "Oh," you say, listening to it. "Wreckage of Eggman base found," it blares. "Blue figure still missing." "Did you cause that avalanche?" Saphire asks you. "Yeah..." you say. "I just... I was sick and tired of that Eggbelly, and when a laser cannon hit me, I flew right into the mountain. I think it broke my back. I didn't want to stop until I completed the mission, so I shot a pile of snow. I know it was risky, and stupid, but I just... didn't want to seem like a failure. And that's how I've felt pratically all my life. Like I can't just... have some control over my life." *Saphire sighs. "You didn't need to prove anything to me," she says. "Or anybody else." Your heart sinks. You start to cry, knowing that you did what you did all for nothing. "Then it was a waste of time," you say. "I should have known!" "You try getting up and running off, but you barely stand up before you fall back down again, cracking your skull this time. "BLUE!" Saphire screams. She then picks you up. "Oh, Blue, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make it sound that way. "I'M USELESS, SAPHIRE!" You scream. "I CAN'T DO ANYTHING! I MESS UP EVERYTHING I DO! ALL THE MISSIONS I DID BEFORE THIS ONE I NEARLY FLUBBED UP!" *You break down. "Blue," Saphire says calmly. "Look, you've done some amazing things. Don't beat yourself up over the things you can't do." "OH, SO STEALING'S MY TRAIT, EH?" You say. "BECAUSE THAT'S ALL I CAN DO! I CAN ONLY STEAL HELICOPTERS! I CAN ONLY STEAL TECHNOLOGY! I CAN'T MAKE A THING!" *You get up and run outside. You run off, but then a blizzard picks up, and you get buried in the snow. You go unconscious again.* @You and Chuck pick Blue out of the snow once again. He's not moving. "Uh, that's not good," you say. "Usually his heart is at least beating." You two take him inside quickly, and then make sure to give him a blanket to make him warm up fast. He barely regains consciousness. "I wish I could move away from the mountain," you admit. "It's dangerous living here, and I hate the cold. But, it was the only house up for sale at the time." Suddenly, Blue digs in his backpack pocket, and takes out all the money he has, before handing it to you. "Thank you, Blue," you say sincerely. "In fact, this is just enough to fly everything to a new house, along with buying a new house. This should cover everything. *So, that's how the four of you end up on a plane heading back to Mobius Crossroads, which is the area where Sonic's territory ends, and Mario's territory begans. You still feel weak, so you just lie back in a seat on the private cruiser Saphire got. She managed to find a good house that was dirt cheap, and the excellent cruiser for even cheaper. "I think that Goku will be glad to have somebody take over for him," Saphire says. She somehow convinced you that you should be a teacher now. "I doubt he wants to retire quite yet," you say. But, once the cruiser lands, your family helps you unpack, and then, the four of you relax in your new house. School starts back up the next day, so you go to bed early. The next day you head to the class, and knock on the classroom door while class is in session. "See," you tell Saphire after Goku doesn't answer after a couple of minutes. "He's fine with his job." *Suddenly, Goku runs out, looking very psychotic. "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" He screams like a crazy person. "THEY'RE GONNA EAT YOU ALIVE!" He notices you, and remembers your inquiry. Well, Saphire's inquiry. "Blue, good luck." He then runs off, screaming nonsensical things. You and Saphire open the door, and see the students jumping about, rough-housing and horse-playing. "EVERYONE OF YOU SIT DOWN THIS INSTANT!" You scream. The students do, although some start to cry. You sigh. "Look, I am going to be your teacher for the rest of the year. Goku quit his job... due to medical reasons." *Some of the students look on the verge of tears. "Look," you say. "I'm sure that you're all great students, but please, don't go chaotic on me. You don't like me yelling, and frankly, I don't like to yell. So, let's be calm, civilized people, so we can avoid any more incidents like that. Ok?" *The students nod. "Ok," you say. You call off the names. There's common names, and unique names, and a variety of species that go with the names. It takes about five minutes to list all the names off, but you finally manage to. You then have all the students write their names on nametags, and then, it's the usual, boring stuff that you do on the first day. The next day, none of the students return, and it's like this for the next five years. #You wake up in a desert, not having a recollection of anything. All you remember is screaming like an insane person. And then, nothing. You look at yourself, and feel smaller than you think you should. You see a cactus, and try to get juice out of it, but you only manage to get blistered hands. You keep trying though, until somebody starts laughing at you. But when you look around, you don't see anybody. But you still hear laughing. You turn around again, and suddenly, a robed figure grabs you. You try to squirm free, but you can't. "Easy does it, kid," the figure says. "I'm a friend... well, mostly. My name's Portal. I have another friend named Portal." #You are truely confused now. The figure has a black robe on, but you can see the figure's black face. Suddenly, a figure in a white robe appears. He has a white face. They must be the two Portals. "'Bout time ya appeared," Black-furred Portal says. "C'mon, buddy, enough foolin'" White-furred Portal says. "Is Goku alright?" "Yeah, but a darned alien sure changed him," Black-furred Portal says. "This is the tenth kid already." "Meaning that the aliens are done," White-furred Portal says. You squirm in Black-furred Portal's grip, so he hands you to White-furred Portal. "Our journey back to the city will take five years," Black-furred Portal says. "So let's get a headstart. #The three of you head back to the city. You're glad, even though you feel dread of going back for some reason. You don't know why. You barely remember a thing. But, you don't have a choice either. The two Portals are making sure to hold onto you. So, you must comply, and are escorted back to the city. The journey takes five years, as it turns out that you're in the Five-Year Desert, which takes five years to travel on foot. You guys stop for breaks and whatnot, but you must keep going. Finally, you make it out on the fifth year. The city is just a short distance away now.# |

*You sit in your classroom for the fifth year in a role now. You had no choice but to take over Goku's job, and, admiitedly, you actually enjoy it. About twenty minutes to when class starts, a few kids already go into your classroom. Of course, a few more come in ten minutes before, but most of the kids don't come in until the first bell rings. And then, of course, there is usually a few late kids. When the bell rings, and everyone is in their seat, you start. "Hello," you say to the students. "My name is Blue. For those of you who have been in my class since last year or the years before, you already know this. But, for those of you who are new to the school, now you know my name. Which means that I'll have to get to know your names, even those of you who were in my class five years ago. Today is a basic day. I will not be doing so much teaching as I will be doing first-day stuff." *You then take out your attendence sheet and list off all the names. You know that in the last five years, most of the kids have stayed in school, but the school can no longer hire any more than one teacher, so you have the only classroom avaliable in the school... "Blue Jr..." you list off. "Lunar... Robroto..." *You have two children, both of which go to the school. Blue Jr. and Lunar are both four, and like you, they haven't aged a bit. It takes about fifteen minutes for you to list off all the names. Everyone is in the class on the first day. "Now," you say. "I shall pass out the syllabus for the class." You give a syllabus to each person. You then go up to your desk and grab some tests. "You can have your parents sign the syllabus. Meanwhile, I want you to do a test. It will tell me where you're at, so don't feel too bad if you don't get everything right." *You put a test on each table. Suddenly, Saphire comes in and escorts a small child to the empty desk. "What do I do with him?" You ask Saphire, pointing to the new student. "We'll talk after class," she says, and exits the room. You go on with class as you normally would. Everyone finishes their tests halfway into the class or sooner. "Alright," you say after you've collected all the tests, and put a piece of paper on each student's desk. "I want you to write your name and fold your paper in half the best you can." *All of the students do it, except for the new one. He seems confused as to what his name is. You go over to him. "What's your name?" You ask the student. He shrugs. Suddenly, you look at him closely enough and realise that it's Goku. Well, a kid version of him, at least. He acts scared. "It's alright," you say. "Don't worry about writing your name, ok?" *You then go around to the students who need help. Your children are able to do their names perfectly, folding the paper and standing it up perfectly too. You assume this is due to Eggman's experiments on you getting passed down to your children. And, they aced their tests, even though this is their first year at the school. Robroto needed a bit of help, but he did pretty good on his test too. Time seems to fly by, and before you know it, the bell has rung. Most of the children poor out, but Blue Jr., Lunar, and Robroto stand up and wait outside the classroom. Saphire comes in. Young Goku stays in his seat. "Is that Goku?" You ask Saphire quietly. "That's what the two Portals said," she tells you. "Two Portals?" "They're two friends of mine," she explains. "Ok..." *You go over to Young Goku's desk. He freezes. "It's alright, kid," you say in a soothing voice. "I just want to ask you a few questions. Do you remember how you became like this?" *Goku shakes his head no. Tears form in his eyes. "It's alright," you say. Goku gets out of his desk and tries to run out, but Saphire grabs him. "Don't run off," she says. "We aren't here to hurt you." Goku starts to cry. Saphire comforts him the best she can, but he still cries. "I wonder how he got that way," you say. You go to your house with Saphire, your children, Robroto, and Young Goku.* ?You sit down at a conference table in a dark room that can display multiple screens. Looking around, you see only one other human besides yourself. Four others look like humans, but you know that they are simply alien shapeshifters. And then, some others are straight up aliens, most of which are hedgehogs. "You all know why I bring you here today, correct?" You ask. Everyone says yes or nods in agreement. "As you know, I am the head of a group of agents. Saphire has retired, for good reason. And, many of my other agents have disappeared. Which is why I have recruited you guys from the other universe, the other dimension. I know all of your names. Now..." ?You dig out a small remote, and the screens come to life. "What you are seeing right now is Dr. Ivo Robotnik, his henchmen, or both doing hanous acts," you explain. "Blue has attempted to rid the world of Dr. Robotnik, A.K.A. Eggman, without success. And now, Eggman is spreading viruses. Specifically, Metroid X, a very deadly species of virus that can kill in an hour. Although not as deadly as other viruses, it can still be harmful to organisms, especially hedgehogs. Which is why I'm sending one of you on a mission to track down the virus before it's too late. You are all dismissed."? ^You step out of the building. It is night, and very dark outside. And you were the one who had to be selected to track down the virus. You know that your shapeshifting ability makes you very valueable, but you sometimes wish that people would see you more for who you are than what you are. Of course, Chuck had his reason. He said that he felt that a rookie should do the job. Of course, since you do a few too many puns, Chuck could have probably hired Sans and called it good. But no, he had to have the complete collection. Oh well. You start to walk home. Tomorrow will be a busy day for you. You question why Chuck didn't put Samus on the mission. You arrive at your house later that night, and go to bed. But, of course, with your luck, you can't sleep. So, you start the next day kind of early. You think you're ready enough for your first mission.^ |

Chapter 8: New Packages
@You sit in a brown, wooden chair, in a white room. Blue is laying in a white bed with black metal bars. It's a hopsital room. You feel his forehead. It's burning more than ever, and your hand bleeds a bit from some of the excessive heat burning some of the skin right off your hand. You don't understand why Blue is so sick. You're thankful that he didn't get sick until after the school year, but you stil don't know what is causing him to be sick. You position your chair so that is on the right side of the bed, as opposed to its back facing the front of the bed. "What is making you so sick, Blue?" You ask the room. You don't expect an answer, and so you jump a bit when you do. "Metroid X," the room seems to say. You rub your eyes, and realize that the room doesn't talk. You're kind of tired from not being able to sleep (Blue has really been worrying you), but you know that the room doesn't talk. So, you look behind you, and see a tall, average-weighted figure in a green hoodie and blue jeans, the hoodie over the person's head, so you can't see any facial features. But you heard a masculine voice, so you know that it's a male that's being so mysterious - and creepy - at least. "Come again?" You ask. "Blue's been affected by the Metroid X virus," The figure says again. The voice sounds familiar, but you can't quite place your finger on it. "That sounds like something Samus would deal with," you say, yawning. You're very tired, and the last thing you want is company. Especially at... @You look at your watch. Holy fudge! Both hands are on the twelve. It's midnight. "So why are you here?" You ask the figure. "My mission was to prevent the spread of the disease," the figure says. "You sure did a good job," you say sarcastically. Suddenly, you think about the word the figure used. Mission. Like he's... an agent of Chuck's. Every one of his agents uses that word. Even you, and you're not too much of an agent. Your one mission is to take care of Blue. Easy enough. "You're an agent, aren't you?" You ask the figure. "You could say that," the figure says. You can hear some familiar cheeriness in the voice. You think the agent noticed this too, because he makes a funny face. Suddenly, you think about who the figure reminds you of. @Phil... @That kid always wore a green hoodie and blue jeans, although he didn't really hide his face. But that was when he was thirteen. A lot can change in twelve years (*has it really been that long?* You ask yourself). "Phil?" You ask. The figure takes off his hoodie to reveal the same bald head. "So it is you after all," You say, also making a funny face. "Decided to throw your life away for an agent career?" "It was the best I could do," Phil says disappointingly. "You know that I was doomed from the day Viz decided to abduct me." "Yet your friends lead normal jobs," you argue. "Under survelliance," Phil says. "Who does that remind me of?" You say only loud enough for Phil to hear. "I don't know any of your other friends," he says. "So, again, why are you here?" You ask. "Because I failed my mission," Phil says. "I now need to moniter the first victim. We need to make sure that if we need to make a cure, we can." "I didn't think you could make a cure just from studying symptoms," you say. "I mean, you always gagged at the idea of drawing blood." "That was when I was sixteen," Phil says. "A lot has changed since then." "But not much of your bag contents have," you say, eyeing his green backpack. "Alright," Phil says, now tired of arguing. "So I didn't bring any needles or anything like that. I'm not going to remove blood from him." "Good," you say. "Because if you were, I was going to tear you apart." "Would you really tear apart a fellow classmate?" He asks. "Are you seriously asking me that?" "Would you?" Phil asks. "Of course I would," you say as if it couldn't be any more obvious. "Oh," Phil says, deflated. You eye his backpack again, and suddenly, you see something moving in it. "What's in the bag?" You ask. Your mind starts to jump to conclusions. "I thought you were trustworthy." Phil ignores you and unzippers his backpack more. It wasn't zippered up all the way when he came inside with it, but he unzippers it more, all the same. Phil then takes out a small hedgehog. A child. "Mind explaining that?" You ask Phil. Phil sighs. "You really need to learn to trust me better," he says. "Trust a snake like you?" You ask cunningly. "I'm not a snake," Phil says aggressively. "Then explain," you say firmly. "He's homeless," Phil says. "We found him in a warehouse that is connected to my house. Did a few scans on him, and it turns out that his house burned down, along with his parents, who were trapped inside it. Just when the flames were about to reach him, he teleported to our universe for reasons that still can't be explained. His parents weren't the nicest people either." "Your point?" You ask. "I want you and Blue to take care of him," Phil says as if it couldn't be any more obvious. "Uh..." You say. "Blue's sick. Why would you bring a child anywhere near a virus that we know nothing about?" "Chuck's orders," Phil says. "It was either this or a foster home. I didn't see the kid being too happy in a foster home." "Or he would end up being in a pound," you say, shuddering. "Were you in one?" Phil asks. "No," you say. "But I've heard horror stories." "Ok then..." Phil says. He probably thinks that you're pretty weird, but then again, you've always felt that vibe with him when he was around you. "So why is Blue so special to you?" Phil asks. "He's my half brother, more or less," you say. "You should know this. I had to tell you my past for reasons that young ears shouldn't hear." "Oh yeah," Phil says. "Well, a..." "Oh shut up with the "a few years changes things" nonsense," you say. "You probably don't want to remember." "Oh, and you you want to remember my past?" Phil asks. "No," you say quietly. Suddenly, the kid goes to Blue's bed and climbs on it. "No kid," you say, taking the kid off. "I don't want you to wake Blue."@ *You wake up. "Too late for that," some bald kid says. He can't be no more than twenty-five. You look at Saphire, and see her holding a hedgehog that looks a lot like you. It has the same color of skin as you, and the same back spike formation, but it only has two front spikes that droop down from the forehead. It's a child. Can't be no more than four. You look at the guy again. "Who's that?" You asks weakly. The virus is taking a lot of out you. "A friend from school," Saphire says. "He's somehow one of Chuck's agents now." "He was in Goku's class?" You ask. Goku comes in through the sliding glass door. He's still a kid. The guy notices. "Why'd he shrink?" The guy asks. "He looks like a shrimp now." "PHIL!" Saphire exclaims. The name seems a little familar. Then you remember. The kid was a newcomer to school when Saphire was thirteen. She said that he was a weirdo. You're pretty sure that she was right. "Two people, both named Portal, found him in a desert," you say. "They have no idea why he's a kid again." "I've been warned to watch out for Eggman," Phil says. "He has some weird technologies, many of which have irreversable effects." *You sit up, with a bit of difficulty. You realize that the kid probably woke you up, which is why Saphire is holding him. "Is he immune to what I have?" You ask. "I'm not sure," Phil says. "What you know is what we know." "Oh," you say. Suddenly, Zircron appears. "Hello, Zircron," you say. "How are they immune to the virus?" Phil asks. "Do you really want to know?" Saphire asks in an irritated tone. "Remember the elevator incident?" "Oh no. Please, no. Don't... tell them," Phil says. "What elevator incident?" You ask Saphire, ignoring Phil's plea. "I'll tell you once a few more people come," Saphire says cunningly. "Around me?" Zircron asks. "This human disgusts me." "How come?" You ask, concerned. "Because, he acts so... witty," Zircron says. "O...k... then," Phil says. The kid decides to sit on your lap. "What's his name?" You ask Phil. "We don't really have a name for him," Phil says. "We call him Young Blue." "Oh," you say. "That's a little confusing." *Suddenly, Sonic comes in, but Zircron stops him. "You probably shouldn't come in here," he tells your father. "I'm worried sick about my son," Sonic says. "So I'll willingly take a risk in seeing him. Besides, a human's in here." "What's that supposed to mean?" Phil asks. "You know exactly what I mean," Sonic says, pointing a finger up Phil's chin. "Dad," you say. "Phil isn't part of Eggman's team." "Oh," Sonic says. "Sorry. He just has such a bald head." "I'm sure glad that Sonic doesn't know that my last name is Eggtree," Phil says. "Wait... did I just say that out loud?" "You said it clearer than an air horn," you say, snickering. "I bet school was fun." "Yeah, kids snickered at my last name," Phil says. "I eventually got used to it." "You sound like somebody Eggman would love to know," Sonic says. "Dad, stop, please," you say. "I've heard that Phil's been through a lot." "How much have you heard?" Phil asks, eyeing you. "All that I've heard in this room," you say. "Where's Amy?" "Dealing with the other children," Sonic says. "She has twelve new foster children, all boys. I don't know how she does it." "Saphire's the same way," you say. "She could raise a thousand children and not go nuts." "Sounds fun," Phil says snickering. Saphire punches the center between his eyes. "Ouch! Whatw as that for?" "Oh don't act innocent with me," Saphire says. "I get enough of that from the triplets." "Wait..." Phil says, pausing. "You have children?" "Two boys and a girl," you say. "The girl lucked out and got my smartness. So did the boys, but they're kind of antisocial." "Which is why they're in school," Saphire says. "I feel sorry for the other kids," Phil says. "Aren't you supposed to be studying Blue," Saphire asks. "Oh yeah," Phil says. "Well, I can talk a bit, can't I?" "That's it," Saphire says. "Once one more person comes here, I'm telling everyone about the elevator incident." "So we can mock the human?" Zircron asks. "Sweet!" "Saphire..." Phil says, shrinking. "Pwease... ;_;" "You asked for it, Phil," you say. "It's about time somebody stuck a thumb up..." Sonic starts to say, then stops. "You know, little kids don't need to hear that." *Young Blue jumps. Suddenly, you all hear helicopter blades outside. A minute later, Chuck comes inside. "What are you doing here?" Phil asks him. "I came to check on Blue," he says. "Are you going to stay for a little story?" Saphire asks. "Sure," Chuck says. "Why not?"* ^"Saphire," You say. "Let me do it." ^You take a deep breath, and began the story. It basically started the day you and your friends came to the school. Yeah, you could say that, but you know that it didn't really start until you and Saphire were sixteen, and both managed to end up in the same elevator. The college students went to your school, so they needed somewhere to live. Which is why your school has at least seven above-level floors. There was a party happening on the eigth floor, and for some reason, everyone was invited. The school wasn't the dumbest one you'd seen (the elementary school you went to was, more or less, used as an alien project), but it was fishy to you how there was zero stairs in the school (this was changed after the incident). ^Anyway, you and Saphire ended up on the same elevator. You didn't look at each other though. You didn't know each other very well, and personally, you kind of dispised Saphire. Suddenly, at the eigth floor, the elevator stops. Then, the power goes out. "What the heck?" You ask. You already felt your instincts kicking in. What was the closest and best possible exit? ^Then, for some bizzare reason, the elevator moves back a bit. "Uh..." Saphire says. She's a little spooked now. Whatever hair you have on your body is sticking straight up at this point. You look around you, and see the electrical panel. You open it using your hands, and use the emergency switch to open the elevator door. Except that it opens up behind you. Suddenly, a small vibration shakes you out of the elevator, and you fall down. You land on your legs, but your right leg is broken in the process. Suddenly, the elevator starts to fall down, coming right for you. You curl up the best you can, but you don't think you will make it through. Thankfully, just as you are about to be crushed, you are teleported up, and the elevator goes back up. "How the..." you say, astonished. You didn't do it, that's for sure. You look at Saphire, who has a big scowl on her face. "You're welcome," she says. "You don't have to treat me like chopped liver," you say. "YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL I SAVE YOU!" She screams. "I AM!" You scream back. "THEN SHOW IT BETTER!" She screams. Suddenly, the elevator drops like a rock, and you two are thrown into the air. It then goes up very fast, and flies into the air. "Oh boy," Saphire says. "Know how to use the Tardis?" You ask Saphire. "Because that's what this is now, more or less!" "No..." she says. "Fudge," you say, sitting in a corner. "This si the one thing I can't escape." "What was your past like?" Saphire asks you. "Well, it was interesting," you say. "I escaped my elementary school after being put into a 'special classroom,' and an evil red alien named Viz abducted me and my friends for some reason. He put us all under a dream machine thing without us realizing it. At least, not until a green alien named Diz freed me by sending me down a pit of lava because in my dream, I was in a college that was built on top of a dormant volcano or something like that." "Oooookkkkkk...." Saphire says. "Uh... continue..." "Anyway," you say. "I woke up, and was able to escape the room Viz put me in. I then freed my friends, and we were going to go back to earth via some escape pods, but then, Viz abducted us again, and used of my friends to try to freeze the earth, but I made Viz's plan backfire. Then, when we reenter Earth's atmosphere, a place called Zone 5.1 beamed us down, and we were arrested. Sort of. I helped my friend escape that place..." You hear snoring. Saphire's fallen asleep, so you wake her up. "Did you hear me?" You ask her. "I already know what happened," she says. "You go into the sewers, stop some fat, blue alien named Quiz, and he sacrifices his life to save your planet. Yeah, I know." "How?" You ask. "I read your mind," she says. "Oh," you say. "What's your past like?" ^Saphire shrugs. "Now Saphire," you say. "I told you my past... well, you mind-read most of it, so it's only fair for me to know your past." "Well," Saphire says. "My father went berzerk and killed my whole village when I was only one. But, me and him are on good terms now." ^Suddenly, the elevator lands back down. Rescue workers help you two out. "The end," you say. "That's it?" Zircron asks. He laughs, and so does everyone else. A few tears start to fall from your cheeks, but you try to conceal your face before anybody can notice. Blue notices though. "Guys," Blue says firmly. "That's enough. I think we went a little too far." "Well, the kid should harden up," Sonic says. You cry a little more. This time, Saphire notices. "Blue's right, guys," she says. "He's kind of sensitive, and you're not helping." "I'm not... sensitive," you say quietly. To get your mind off of your embarassment, you look at Chuck. "Why did you really come here though?" You ask him. Everyone hears you, and turns to Chuck. "I gathered some information that might be interesting," he says.^ |

*Everyone gathers around your bed as Chuck tells you all about various differences and similarities between your dimension and what Chuck calls the parallel dimension. You don't want to list all of the differences, as some of them are just creepy or whatnot, but the ones you found the most interesting were that: A. There's at least two Blues. There was two for a while, a Colorun Blue and a Mobius Blue, but they joined together, and a Young Blue soon appeared. B. Blue is apparently from a planet called Colorun, which has an emerald system similar to Mobius, except that Colorun has an elder and a guardian for each emerald. C. There is a lightish-blue master emerald along with the regular green one, representing Adult Blue and his daughter, Green. D. Colorun is a rainbow-striped planet, with each layer of the rainbow on it, and a ring surrounding it. It also has some moons surrounding it, each for a color of the color wheel. E. Phil is apparently the current ruler of Colorun. F. Eggman, and a few other evil people turned good and are working for a government agency that Chuck is the leader of. G. Saphire was abandoned at the age of four or so, as opposed to the age of abandonment in your dimension. H. You are best friends with Saphire and a person named Goku, who is the guardian of the red emerald, or, more or less, a manifestation of it. I. All the guardians are manifestations of their emeralds. J. Goku was meant to be evil, but Blue changed it to somebody else being evil, and was banished from Colorun. K. Blue, along with Blueberry, who looks like Shadow, and a third person, Bluefreeze, are descendents of Atlantians. L. Goku and the other guardians of Colorun are capable of control Atlantian artifacts as well. M. Goku has a brother named Kyle, making Kyle somewhat or fully Coloronian. N. Blue has three children all made by Eggman: Blue Jr., Saphire Jr., and Lunar. O. There is a Cute Blue Jr. somewhere about, and Saphire seems to run away due to it "being too cute." P. Blue has the following friends, or aquaintences at the least: Blue(A darker-colored version, zero relation to regular Blue), Goku, Kyle and his friends, Saphire, Christa, Kabble, Dive and his friends and sons, Portal(Also know as Omega), Portal(Who is a close friend of Saphire's), Nazo, another of Omega's friends, Robroto, Phil, Chuck, Racc James, and a bunch of other agents, Jack, Xeon, Maria, plus even more friends that could not be remembered. Q. Blue and his children can time travel at times. R. The Chuck of your dimension also has connections to the other dimension. S. Blue has various powers, many of which can't be remembered. T. There are at least one million mutants. U. There is a handful of forgettable side characters. V. Blue had parents from another dimension. W. Blue's parents, Sonic and Amy, we're evil, and tried to burn Blue in their house by lighting it on fire, according to Young Blue. X. Young Blue is not actually a young version of Blue per say. Y. Young Blue is a somewhat separate entity, but there is similarities between Young Blue and Adult Blue. Z. There is even more information that couldn't fit on this list. *"And remember," Chuck says. "This is what their dimension is like." "Pretty crazy stuff," you say. "Yes, but..." Chuck says. "But what?" Saphire asks, concerned. "Well," Chuck says. "I'm planning on bringing all of you guys to the dimension to see what it is like for yourselves." "WHAT?!?" You ask. "I... I don't think I want to..." "Me neither," Saphire says. "I mean, that stuff was far out there." "They've got a point, Chuck," Phil says. "I mean, that was a ton of stuff to digest all at once like that. Maybe let it sink in a bit?" "I wish I could," Chuck says. "But, I wanted you guys to know about this because we need to help out the other dimension." "Why?" You ask. "They're being attacked by creatures from other dimensions," Chuck says. "And they're losing. We can't risk it. We have much more powerful friends, so, we need to help." "All of us need to help?" Zircron asks? "All of us," Chuck says. "So, all of you are now considered agents." "But what about me?" You ask. "I'm still sick after all." "Well..." Chuck says. "YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT?!?" Samus asks after Chuck tells her the plan. "I want to have Blue board your spacecraft," Chuck says. "You're in a protective suit, so you'll be fine. He can help you in any ways you see fit." "WHAT DOES HE KNOW ABOUT PILOTING A SHIP?" Samus asks. "LOOK, IF YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE BLUE ON THE SHIP, THEN I ALSO WANT ONE OF YOUR GUYS UP THERE TOO!" "Why?" You ask. "I already hurt you once, Blue," Samus tells you. "And with me being emotional like I am... I don't want to lose control of myself." "Phil would be very happy to join you," Chuck says. "Who's Phil?" Samus asks. "THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE PLAN!" Phil screams. "It's called improvising," Chuck says. He then leads the rest of the group out of the palace. You were discharged from the hospital, and everyone met up at the palace. "So, it's the three of us?" You ask. "Four if you count Cute Blue Jr.," Phil says. "How do you..." You ask. "You heard the description of the kid, right?" Phil asks. You look at the kid again. He's all furry, fluffy, with big eyes that have faint sparkles. He makes squeaking noises sometimes. "So he's a cute kid," you say. "He's also very vulnerable. Usually, nature doesn't make things super cute without a cost." "So it's four people," Samus says. "Well, five people actually." *Robroto comes out of the palace as you guys walk out, looking tired. "Make that six," you say. You pick Robroto up and the five of you board the spacecraft. You head to where Chuck wants you guys to head to: The other dimension. You go through the portal, and are in the other dimension. %You see all of the heroes go into a portal, which is then closed up. "Mario, why do you suppose the heroes went into that portal?" You ask what seems like air. You are in a dark room surrounded by computer screens. Suddenly, Mario comes out of the shadows. He's in his iconic plumber outfit, but you still get haunted by the red robotic right eye put on grey metal. Mario has robotic parts all over. So much has changed for him. "I have no idea, fuzzface," Mario says. "Use your 1000 IQ points and figure it out, Sherlock!" "I was asking because I thought you were interested," You say. "Eggman," Mario says. "I'm never interested in what you have to say. You sigh. "So," you ask. "I think they'll be gone for a while. Wanna take over?" "Sure," Mario says. "I'll kidnap the princess, and make sure Bowser gets a good beating." "Him and Luigi have been hanging out with the princess ever since you left," you say. "And Sonic and Amy are still there, along with the princess and Bowser and your brother." "But they won't stop us," Mario says. "But I will," a disembodied voice. Suddenly, Phoenix Wright appears. "You?" Mario asks. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What are you gonna do? Tell the law on me? I CONTROL PART OF THE LAW SYSTEM!" %Phoenix takes out a rocket launcher. "I'll shoot a rocket if I have to," Phoenix Wright says. "And, according to the law, I have every right to make you disappear if I think you're doing something evil." Suddenly, a robotic arm grabs Phoenix. "TRY OBJECTING OUT OF THAT!" Mario screams. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" %You and Mario go to the palace. It's time for you to rise up against Mario and to take over the whole city. You hope an opportunity presents itself. |
