I know many have posted about this situation, but I want to take a moment to state my opinion on it.
Taking away Tix isn't a stop forward, but a huge step backward. This takes away our ability for custom creativity with our characters through custom clothes without spending real currency for virtual currency, for these terrible gifts? A skateboard that you can't even have in most games, feminine style of glasses, and a ridiculous looking camera that does nothing. Wonderful prizes, Roblox. Not everyone wants to look the same though your Free items. People want to have their own style, and those who don't buy virtual currency can't do that.
Why can't people buy virtual currency? Some don't have the same wealth as others. Some's parents won't allow them to buy virtual currency using real currency. Some simply don't want to spend their money on virtual currency.
I'm not necessarily complaining for myself, but for those who this truly applies to. I'm pretty set right now, as I've had BC on multiple occasions, TBC once, and currently have almost 11K Robux that I've earned from the BC/TBC, and group funds.
Roblox isn't all about playing games. Sure, it is a huge, main part, but there's also the part where you hang out with friends, customize your avatar, and even wear certain things for group events.
Roblox, from a business standpoint, seems to have forgotten that a lot of newer members used Tix to customize their characters with custom clothing to make their avatar unique. If there's something new members don't like about Roblox, this possibly being one for a lot of players, they'll likely not stay around.
People want the opportunity to be unique in their character, and you can't do that now with the limited amount of free items and without using real currency for virtual.
Something has to be done, not only for people to have the ability to buy things, but to allow creativity in customization of avatars, for users new and old to be able to show their unique personality, rather than everyone looking the same. |

"I know many have posted about this situation, but I want to take a moment to state my opinion on it." Sometimes opinions shouldn't be said
"Taking away Tix isn't a stop forward, but a huge step backward. "Why can't people buy virtual currency? Some don't have the same wealth as others. Some's parents won't allow them to buy virtual currency using real currency. Some simply don't want to spend their money on virtual currency." If they can't buy their own currency, then that's their problem not ROBLOX problem.
"I'm not necessarily complaining for myself, but for those who this truly applies to. I'm pretty set right now, as I've had BC on multiple occasions, TBC once, and currently have almost 11K Robux that I've earned from the BC/TBC, and group funds." but that's exactly what you are dong you hypocrite
"Roblox isn't all about playing games. Sure, it is a huge, main part, but there's also the part where you hang out with friends, customize your avatar, and even wear certain things for group events." It's about playing games, building, and hanging out yes, but you don't NEED to customise your character
"Roblox, from a business standpoint, seems to have forgotten that a lot of newer members used Tix to customize their characters with custom clothing to make their avatar unique. If there's something new members don't like about Roblox, this possibly being one for a lot of players, they'll likely not stay around." ROBLOX is currently growing massively sos it doesn't matter
"People want the opportunity to be unique in their character, and you can't do that now with the limited amount of free items and without using real currency for virtual." no one on ROBLOX is "unique" anymore anyways
"Something has to be done, not only for people to have the ability to buy things, but to allow creativity in customization of avatars, for users new and old to be able to show their unique personality, rather than everyone looking the same." Then go work for ROBLOX and show them how to run a business I'm pretty your you have enough experience from your virtual ro companies you probably work in

there are quite a few ways for NBC players to get robux.
-Creating/monetizing your own game -Working for other players, mainly groups so you aren't taxed -Creating free to use models like Khols Admin and adding a donation area
There are probably more I didn't mention, but you get it.
And if you're going to come up with the excuse "well not everyone can make a game" then you're better off just buying BC anyways.

I fully agree. Before all this roblox was focused on having fun and hanging out with friends of all ages. Now roblox focuses only on "modernization" and devs, they just don't care about normal players.
Ah S&I the world filled with baiter, trolls bullies and noblets... Thats where i am from. |

'Sometimes opinions shouldn't be said'
according to who, you?
'it's a free gift you ungrateful git'
it's not free if it comes at the cost of the average NBC'ers only means of buying things. they're not great replacements either, especially given they now pigeonhole most players into a few generic hats
'If they can't buy their own currency, then that's their problem not ROBLOX problem.'
the problem is roblox locking off half the game to BC only. why are you such a victim blamer?
'but that's exactly what you are dong you hypocrite'
no he's not
'but you don't NEED to customise your character'
would you say the same if they removed the forums, catalog, building games, and talking to friends? these are objectively CORE parts of the game, regardless of what you think.
'ROBLOX is currently growing massively sos it doesn't matter'
oh, so you're a sheep then. if it wasn't evident before, it is now
'no one on ROBLOX is "unique" anymore anyways'
citation needed
'Then go work for ROBLOX and show them how to run a business I'm pretty your you have enough experience from your virtual ro companies you probably work in'
what? that didn't refute the quoted part at all |

Roblox fails to understand what most of the community is, and thus, it is funny to read posts like this.
Totally true message, in the Admins face.

@paro
Yeah, the Roblox community are for the most part a much of self-centered children who think everything should be free and that businesses are "greedy" for just needing to make a profit.

That's not possible with a game like Roblox. The community can't have everything for free. It's just illogical to think that non-paying users should be given the benefits of those who invest money into the site.
Roblox is a company, not a charity, not a government. They need to make money by providing a service, and they do. It's just that nobody on the site understands what that service is: the ability to use a pretty versatile engine to create games for free.
You don't need to play virtual dress up to get a good experience on roblox.

@hello You failed again. Avatar, although it may not be important for some people, dictates what you are. Although it is very insignificant from games, you can be called a "noob" for having default items, or free items.

"You failed again"
That phrase just sounds silly to me, I don't know what it is about it but it just does xD
But anyways, if new players really feel the need to customize their character, they can just buy that feature! It's their choice. And I haven't seen anyone use the word "noob" to refer to a new player for years. It's just so commonplace now that nobody really cares.
And roblox has come out saying that they are going to release more free items to make new players' choices more versatile. It's just a matter of time for them to gradually make more and more free hats.

@hello I meant you failed to understand my reply again. Also, anyone wearing free items are considered "noobs" and can get bullied many times. Also, there only has been 4 items since march actually created by creators.
