Hey, so I recently got into a relationship w/ a good friend of mine yesterday. it's long-distance, though (not by a lot; like 200 miles, but we don't plan to visit anytime soon), so if you have any advice towards keeping a long-distance relationship going, please enlighten me

talk to each other often
As for RUST, we promise we're gonna do better and act better. We're gonna prove to the clan world we're a disgraceful clan anymore. |

well you could always start with the basics. How was your day what did you do today, what are you doing tomorrow
and atleast one of those will lead to more conversation |

Skype often, if so exchange numbers, snapchats, instagrams, all that stuff
make sure you leave cute messages and little things like tell her good night or good morning and take a cute picture of your face or something
just do things that will brighten up her day

@sux
fair enough, we usually just kinda start talking because of an event and just go from there
@star
we mostly use snap to talk (it also has video chats and all that now), and have pet names and all that cute stuff. she's kinda negative w/ regards to how she looks and all that, so I always make sure I compliment her and all that |

Make her feel like she's special, don't let her feel like your ignoring her. Like the others said, Skype Calling her is crucial from what I've seen in long distance relationships from what friends have told me from their experiences.
But, try meeting up with her eventually. There's like no real relationship moments going on unless y'all are in the same room. |

| I'm in the midst of doing these things too, but not yet. See if she'll get a teamspeak, heck see if she'll play a game with you. Or skype call daily or just skype message her or just snap chat her. |

TAKE A DAY OR 2 BREAK. I had a long distance relationship (2 hours away) we lasted 3 years. But, if you want it to work you gotta take breaks from talking, if not every day your convo will be the exact same and it'll get boring real quick. Take a day or two off so you have something to actually talk about. |

| After a day or two break every week, it refreshes it. Tbh that was my main worry when I got into the relationship too |

| But in all honesty, if someone says the long distance won't work, then they're just saying that because they've never tried it or theres didn't work out. |

@karth well, i mean given our age (not young, but we both plan to go to college and all that so y'know) it's obviously not gonna work out in the end, but yeah, I get what you're saying |

try sending letters or gifts on special occasions
don't be afraid to be corny and just keep her happy |

i mean unless you're literally always talking, it probably shouldn't get boring
it's at this point that i'm not too helpful, because i've been single for like 16 years
and i'm, like, 16 years old
