Syntax Over Sanity Rules: This sheet will go over the rules you must follow in being in Syntax Over Sanity. We will start by going over the punishment, which will serve as section 1. SECTION 1: One who serves the punishment will get to choose on what level a rule was broken. Some rules have a punishment given on the same term as the rule. Punishment explained: When a rule is broken, one who punishes can chose what level should be given to one who breaks a rule. The levels are explained below: ZONE 1: Level 1 explained: When you get punished with a level 1, you will be messaged with a warning. In another message you receive, there will be a reflection sheet. You are to read the reflection sheet, read it again, and fill it out explaining your actions. A copy of this reflection sheet will be messaged to the CEO, and if he does not like your explication, he may choose to punish you furthermore. ZONE 2: Level 2 explained: When you get punished with a level 2, you will be messaged with a warning. You will also be put on monitoring, so everything you do with Syntax Over Sanity will be monitored by a staff, All permissions will be taken away, unless you have permission to use them. If you do something without permission, you will be punished with a level 3. Monitoring will end after 7 days. Permissions will be regained after 5 days. ZONE 3: Level 3: When you are punished with a level 3, You will be ranked to Suspended for 3 days or less. You will remain here for 72 hours from the time you were served the level 3. You will be required to fill out a reflection sheet explaining your actions. If this reflection sheet is not filled out, you will remain in the suspended rank. If the reflection sheet is not filled out in 96 hours [4 days], you will also be required to advertise the group with a min. of 50 TIX (5 robux after update or removing TIX) bid. If not filled out in 120 hours [5 days], you will be exiled from the group. If you rejoin, you will be exiled, and there will be no chance of getting ranked up. If you fill out the reflection sheet on time, the level 3 will be lifted. Level 3's are always on record, and the board will see your level 3 every time you try to rank up. The one served on level 3 might not want to use Acton as a reference for past experience with other groups, as we will show them your level 3 gladly. Once the reflection sheet is filled out, even if the suspension is not lifted, the detainee may file an appeal, by messaging the CEO explaining how the punishment was wrongfully done or was unfair. If the appeal is passed, the detainee will be freed of the suspension and the record of the level 3 will be deleted. If the CEO chooses, he may award the victim of false Level-3 a cash award of his choice in compensation. False appeals will be ignored. Zone 4: Level 4 explained: If punished with a level 4, you will be suspended for 24 hours [1 day], and have the time you are suspended to file an appeal. If the appeal is denied, you cannot dispute it, but will be automatically exiled. If no appeal is filed, you will be exiled. Rejoining is pointless, you will simply be exiled again, and there will be no chance of ranking up. If appealed, you will start at the MEMBER rank, and must re-apply for your rank to be restored. In the voting for your application, your level 4 will be shown to everyone. Level 4's cannot be deleted from the Acton server. For Level 4's to be served, they must be approved by ALL OF THE SYNTAX OVER SANITY BOARD, MEANING EVERY MEMBER, unless the one who is receiving the Level 4 is in the board, in which case only the CEO must approve the level 4. Section 2: ZONE 1, APPEALS Term 1; APPEALING THE CEO: If the CEO of Syntax Over Sanity has done wrong to you, contact the Spazz0. He can chose to grant or deny your appeal. If granted, the Syntax Over Sanity board will vote. The CEO will not have the ability to vote on this decision. If granted, the CEO will lose all permissions in Syntax Over Sanity for a week, and the person who appealed will be awarded R$150. Spazz0 will be the CEO. Ranks will be restored after the week. ElectricalJude will be required to pay R$100/R$150 of the robux. The other 50 will come from group funds. False appeals and/or appeals denied will result in a level 1 punishment. If you deny this, or are not respectful, it will increase to a level 3, then a level 4. Term 2; Appealing the Syntax Over Sanity Board. As an Syntax Over Sanity member, you have the right to appeal an Syntax Over Sanity board decision. To do so, Contact the CEO. He may grant your appeal, and the decision will be remade. Section 3: Term 1; If an appeal is filed against you, and is granted, you will be required to fill out a reflection sheet. A reflection sheet will be messaged to the CEO. If the CEO chooses, he may punish you furthermore. If the CEO gets a granted appeal against him/her, He will be required to pay a fine. Section 3-1; Term 0.5; Withdrawing appeals: Withdrawing appeals is NOT ALLOWED IN ANY CASE, by sending an appeal, you agree that it is truthful, only truthful, and nothing but the truth. If it is a false appeal but was submitted, you will be punished. Section 4; [Safety violations], Term 1; All models, games, buildings, ect. are to be protected from the following: 1. Exploitation 2. Hacking 3. Fire 4. Tornado 5. Ect. Where possibility is present. [Level 1 punishment if broken, If resisted increase by 1 level] Term 3; False reports of breaking rules will result in a level 3 punishment. Term 4; Threatening, Swearing, Spamming, Ect. is NOT ALLOWED by any means. Punishment is set by a LEVEL 3 PUNISHMENT EXCEPTION for spamming, which will start at level 1 EXCEPTION of resist. Term 5; Group shout is only for announcements, not for communication to other members. This will count as spamming, which is a level 1 punishment, and a term 5 violation, which is a level 2 punishment. Term 6; Do not resist a punishment. Resisting may count as many things, saying "That's BS", or "That's unfair", or saying "Make me", or "I'm not doing it", or "I'm reporting you", Or "I'm telling Jude", Unless speaking of an appeal, Resisting violating can only be served by Jude, with an exception if some other admin punishes you and is approved. Resisting is a level 2 violation, unless stated otherwise in a violation term. Term 7; If terms are broken, and have different set of punishments, they will add, for example, a level 1 and level 2 punishment will be added to a level 3 punishment, and the level 1 and 2 will be served. Term 8: Follow all Roblox rules, The link for these will be provided in this term. Link: [https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/203313410-ROBLOX-Rules-of-Conduct-#ROBLOX%20Rules%20of%20Conduct ] Term 9; Killing someone over, spawn killing, one sided killing, killing someone for no reason, Ect. is NOT AGAINST THE ROBLOX RULES, but in some cases may be in violation of Section 5 Zone 1 Term 2. To see if your case is in violation of this term, you may ASK by contacting the CEO. Term 10; Do as higher ranks say, unless you know it would be wrong. Term 11; Pranking is against the rules if it is violation of Section 5 Zone 1 Term 2. Term 12; Syntax Over Sanity is suppose to be a fun community where people can do what Syntax Over Sanity set out to do. Anything that gets in the way of this counts as breaking this term, which is a LEVEL 3 PUNISHMENT. Term 13; For something to be in Syntax Over Sanity name, it must be approved by Spazz0 [Syntax Over Sanity has a copyright of its name as stated in Roblox Rules. ] Term 14; Just because something is not listed in the rules does not mean you can't be punished for it, It also does not mean the violation can't be punished with any level of punishments. Term 15; Group uniforms are not required. This rule was removed December 14, 2014. If anyone believes this rule is still in effect, tell them to read Section 5 Zone 1 Term 15. Term 16; All admins are required to read every word in this handbook, and may be required to answer questions about this handbook if an admin feels the need. Term 17; Emoji's, which include :), :D, -.-, 0_0. :o, D:. :(, Ect. are not in violation of Section 5, Zone 1, Term 1. Term 18; Violating any rule removes your right to report anyone for violating a rule, however it is not against the rules to ask a LOWER rank to report someone on your behalf, but HIGHER is against the rules, exception if you're an admin rank, in which case you may not report anyone for breaking a rule for any reason. Term 19; If you violate any term, but the record is deleted for any reason, such as an appeal, you may violate Section 5 Zone 1 Term 18, as it counts as not having broke a rule. Term 20; If an emergency happens in game, such as a fire, exploitation, Tornado, Ect., In which an alarm goes off, or someone announces an emergency, in which has the authority to do so, You are to do what you are suppose to do, for example, Fire, you must evacuate. If a false alarm happens to be triggered, the one who caused the false alarm should expect the following: 1. Verbal warning, 2: Level 2 punishment. Doing this will ensure the situation is handled properly, authorities who handle this situation can do their job safely, and most efficiently, and managers may have a less tense situation, and most importantly, your safety can be ensured! Term 21; Abusing power will not be tolerated, and the first time is happens, you will be punished with a LEVEL 3, no warnings will be given. more than likely, you have explained abusing power clearly, and correctly, on your application. If you did not, the question was not read, and you did not get the job. If the problem consist after the level 3 was served, you will be served a level 4, which is the worst possible punishment to be served. Term 21 is probably the most enforced rule out of all rules on this handbook. The reason for this is simple, it makes Syntax Over Sanity less fun for everyone, and makes Syntax Over Sanity seem corrupt, and is scary for everyone. If someone believes you are corrupt, and/or abuse power, they should contact the CEO, and they do not need to worry at all after that. Reporting someone for this will remain anonymous forever, and takes priority over all other reports and/or cases. The CEO should make this case as fast as possible, and should not take more than 3 days. Term 22; Corruption: Corruption can happen to anyone, This usually happens when an admin has been in his or her position for a long time, with many powers, and sees what he/her can get away with. They can essentially become mad with power, and do things for no reason, just for pleasure. This will not be tolerated in Syntax Over Sanity, and is avoided as much as possible. If someone is charged with corruption, they will also be given the punishments, and will be charged with Section 5, Zone 1, Term 21. Corruption will usually go to a level 4 punishment, but may also be a level 3, depending on what leads us to believe someone is corrupt. please report everyone who is corrupt to the CEO. If the CEO is corrupt, Tell the Co-CEO. Term 23; Being untruthful in any way, exception to get a member or sell a product, is unreuleful, and will result in a LEVEL 3 Punishment. Term 24; REMEMBER, just because something is not stated in the rules does not mean you cannot be punished for it. Term 25; Threatening to do anything negative to anyone in any way is an automatic Level 3. If proof is provided, appealing is not allowed. If resisted, you will be sent to a level 4. The no appeal in this term will be lifted if you go to a level 4. Term 26; When speaking to a client, you must use complete respect. If you do not know their name, or do not want to type their name, but do know their gender, use "Sir, Or Ma'am", If you are speaking to them using their name, You will use Mr., Or Mrs., If they tell you they're not married, use Ms., If writing a letter, Use the following format: Dear Mr. Example Body. Example Conclusion. Thanks, -Mr./Mrs. [Your username here] -[Your rank in Syntax Over Sanity] This is also recommended for Admin ranks, but is NOT required. Term 27; Section 5 Zone 1 Term 26 is a worse punishment for representatives, Reason being this is their JOB. If you are a representative your punishment will automatically be Level 3, and if resisted, Level 4. Term 28; Not have read the rules is NO EXCUSE for breaking the rules. Using this excuse is automatically a Level 1 punishment, if resisted Level 2. Term 29; An excuse for breaking a rule and/ or rules cannot be "It was my brother", or something like that, implying someone with the exception of you was on your account breaking a rule. Just like Term 28, A punishment of a Level 1, or if resisted Level 2, Will be given if this excuse is used, along with Term 28 if you have ignorance of this rule. Term 30; Use common sense, and some logic. Term 31; Arguing is against the rules with an exception if it is respectful AND uses logic. Term 32; Be mature. Term 33; If a supervisor ask you do to something repeatedly but you do not obey, you can be punished, This counts as disrespectful. The supervisor can chose a punishment that the Board/CEO agrees to. Term34; Destruction of Syntax Over Sanity property: IS AGAINST THE RULES, REPORT ALL OF THIS TO THE CEO. Usually level 3 punishment. Section 6: Promotions: In order to be promoted in way 1, you must have a verified e m a i l. To do so, Contact the CEO with a request for an application. Fill it out, and send it back. The application will explain the rest. To do it without a verified e m a i l, and easy way, you must get an interview with the CEO. Do this by asking for one in game. Admin commands: Please do not ask for admin. If this happens repeatedly, and gets annoying, can be punished in violation of Section 5 Zone 1 Term 12, which may be punished in many ways. Section 7: This is the handbook for all rules in Syntax Over Sanity, Remember, Just because something is not listed does not mean you cannot be punished, this is just to give you an idea about what you can or cannot do in Syntax Over Sanity. Any questions? Message the CEO. Overall, Syntax Over Sanity is not strict, although this may make us seem like we are, we really are not.
Thanks for reading, and have a good day!
Thanks, -ElectricalJude, Co-CEO of Syntax Over Sanity.
