I think manual is better because you focus more on driving rather than other stuff that's why 70% of people who gets involved in car accidents are mostly automatics because drivers find it boring then suddenly fell asleep driving. 25% of manual cars involved in accident are because of irresponsible ricers that think their Civic's can hit 120 mph. 5% well accidents happen. I don't hate Civics its just the ricers I hate...

it all boils down to driver preference
some people are scared of stalling or skipping a gear in manual cars so they buy automatics
or they want an automatic with paddle shifters so they can switch between manual and automatic as they please
personally i like manuals because you feel way more connected to your car and it gives you more control than an automatic
+ they're less expensive and there's less that can go wrong with the transmission
also sadly i know a civic ricer |

depends if you're in a luxury car then automatic is better but if you're in a sports car or something then get it in manual |

| Well supercars don't really have manual transmission now a days they just have DCT and paddle shifters. Paddle shifters are semi-automatic because you pull the paddle shifter and request for a gear change in manual you literally move the gears via stick shift |

If you do your driving test in an automatic you are NOT allowed to drive a Manual. If you do the test in manual you can drive both. I would use manual.

@RorusEpictetusDurus
Manual FTW!
But the problem with automatics is that it costs more than a manual transmission and its so expensive to buy a new or even surplus automatic transmission and automatic transmission usually breaks after 10 years or less and its so expensive to buy a transmission or even have it fixed. While manual transmission its cheap and doesn't really break. We used to have a 1995 Toyota Corolla XL or XE 7th Gen 1.3L N/A Manual Transmission and we sold it like a few years ago to my uncle and so far the only problem their having with it is the car's air conditioning and belts other than that it runs great. |

@sword
in the world of car enthusiasts, rice stands for race inspired cosmetic enhancements
ricers are people that modify their cars with things like massive spoilers/wings, body kits, paint jobs, flamethrowers, etc.
normally they'll make cars such as honda civics look like the cars you see in the fast and furious movies
car enthusiasts typically hate them because of how much they brag about their ridiculous cars when they actually normally ruin the car's performance with the modifications i mentioned |
