However it's a shame that the series had to be overshadowed by horrid referee decisions that ultimately made games go one way or another.
I think in some ways both organizations can relate to one another.
A few years ago, the Islanders were much like the Panthers were last year. A team with very good youth and a budding superstar in John Tavares. A team that were the "other" team in the state, and always mocked for attendances.
I think the Panthers are almost exactly like the Islanders were in the 2013 playoffs. Mostly outplaying the opposition on a scale of 60 minutes, but just not enough to pull off victories. Perhaps experience played a part in that, but maybe it didn't. Either way, the Islanders had to lose before they could win, and I think that's where we're at right now.
Good luck to them the rest of the way. |

| Thanks. Tough fought series to y'all also, just bad luck Luongo didn't get on the puck in 3rd period in game 6 and he didn't react in enough time to save the wrap around. |

| We just need to find a way to win in OT. |

Agreed.
They played more of a defensive game in OT than offensive and when in regulation, they played a fast paced offensive game. |

| Yeah I think in the first OT we really relied too much on Luongo, 2nd OT we were a bit more offensive but Greiss was just too hot to be scored on more than once or twice. |

100% correct.
Then it just goes vice-versa for the Islanders. They are to defensive in regulation and offensive in OT |

yeah islanders basically outlasted the panthers as the game went later into OT Greiss played reallyt well for us and if he didn't play so well we could've had game 7 tonight.
the referees decided not to call anything for anyone in the playoffs which I don't really understand but they let everyone play. |
