OK, so I've been playing some games lately "Battlefront 1940-1944" and "Blood & Iron". They're really cool games with some fun shooting aspects and round based game play. Then a thought popped into my head.


"How cool would it be if I made a game like these, BUT without the round based game play. Add some WW1-2 vehicles with pieces that can fall off the vehicle like in Armored Patrol and Urban Patrol, and a big open world map with deserts, snowy areas, plains and forests and maybe even cities, and all with enough force or explosives completely destructible! You pick one of three to five teams (I'll decide how many later) with their own little benefits, with each team there are a specific kind of unit you play as. For the final touch, you can take over bases and build defenses on the bases."


Now, yes it seems like a giant project that would take a long time but with enough people with the same kind of idea, this could happen. This could be amazing! Think of the idea of a game as Planet-side 2 + Battlefront 1940-1944 + Urban/Armored Patrol.


If anyone wants to see this happen let me know! Especially if you can do scripting, World, Vehicle or even maybe weapon design because I could use all the help I could get! So please, please, Please! Let me know if you want to help and even if not tell me what you think, I'm always open minded for ideas!

o one has made a game like that before properly because people wouldn't be able to play it from all the lag and the amount of people that need to play at once to make it fun, games that listed above only have a little bit fun stuff to keep the lag low.

Heres a word of confidence:
I would be happy to help you and I think its a great idea.
I'm an intermediate-expert scripter and a decent builder.
I do believe that you would need to spread out the game on different servers. For example:
Your on the edge of the city and it prompts you an option to go to the "snowy plains" "biome" or something like that.
Send a message. I've been looking for a startup for a while now.

Yeah, spreading it out into separate servers with a select map seems like an optimal solution.

A way we could do this is instead of removing round based game-play, we use that and at the end of a conquest.

So every time a team wins a prompt comes up, like a victory or defeated screen it would show something like a leader board (or we could just leave out the leader board part) then a map voting screen would come up, (It kinda feels like a stretch on what could be done but there's still a chance) where the majority of the votes on a map by the end of a like 10-20 second timer, the one with the most votes is chosen and it loads up the map but we could also make a like matchmaking screen where you pick which map you want to play on and it would warp you do a server with that map that at least has like 5 people in it.
