Atlético Nacional vs Huracán: These two teams actually were paired in the same group, so this should be an interesting match-up. Huracán didn't have the start to the group stage they'd have liked to, but they did finish strong, going undefeeated in their last 3 matches, after having just 3 points from their first 3. The defense has been a big improvement for Huracán but I just don't see them getting past such a strong side like Atlético Nacional, who didn't concede once in their 6 group stage matches. 4-0 in favor of AN.
UNAM vs Táchira: Another match-up where these teams were in the same group. Pumas finished the group in first, and it's interesting to point out that Pumas are very inconsistent with their performances and that may show against Táchira. Táchira won the first match at home vs Pumas 2-0 on March 9th, but a week later in Mexico it went 4-1 the other way. Táchira haven't been in great form, and I don't believe they will get past Pumas here. 5-2 in favor of UNAM.
Corinthians vs Nacional: Corinthians have had a very strong start to 2016, whilst Nacional have been pretty good domestically, but in the Libertadores they've been just good enough to advance. Nacional don't have enough in their attack to see off Corinthians and I think this should end 3-1 in favor of Corinthians.
Atlético Mineiro vs Racing: Racing have a very below average defense and that will really hurt them in this 2 legged tie even though they have some good attackers such as Oscar Romero, it won't be enough. Atlético Mineiro have enough class and strength to easily see off Racing. 4-1, Atlético Mineiro.
Toluca vs São Paulo: Toluca are definitely the weakest of the 1-8 seeds, having benefitted from a couple late goals to see them finish first in their group. Their competition is definitely the worst they could have hoped for, too. São Paulo did start off very poor but they picked it up, and the tireless Jonathan Calleri will be the key to success for São Paulo. He's on a nice run of form of scoring and if Toluca are to win they need to stop him, though it's not any easy task. São Paulo, 3-2.
Boca Juniors vs Cerro Porteño: The in-form Argentine side is tremendous all-around, while Cerro Porteño are quite inconsistent and in all honesty are only in the knockout stages because of the weak group they were in. Boca Juniors goes through 6-1.
River Plate vs Independiente del Valle: I think an upset could be on the cards here, even though it seems unlikely. River Plate have shown vulnerabilities, conceding 3 goals to Venezuelan side Trujillanos last night(even though it was the last matchday, they were battling with São Paulo for placement) but their offense has been expectably strong, scoring 17 in the 6 matches they've played. Independiente del Valle on the other hand have had troubles finding the net recently but defensively they've been pretty consistent. I think this goes to penalties in the 2nd leg.
Rosario Central vs Grêmio: This is the matchup I'm looking most forward to. Both sides are two of the top sides in all of South America. I really recommend you guys to watch the leg in Rosario at least. Rosario Central have some of the best ultras in the world, with a very competitive team, whilst Grêmio(Who have one of THE best academies in the world) have some nice talents to watch, but too many to name right here. I'm going to go with Grêmio on aggregate, 3-3. |

| I think Táchira are just too weak and Pumas should beat them. Pumas are in poor form at the moment though so I guess anything could happen. |

| the first leg of Huracán and Atlético Nacional ends 0-0. Not many chances by either side, but I'd say Huracán had the better opportunities, especially at the end when a fantastic save by Cristian Bonilla continued Atlético Nacional's outstanding run of 630 minutes(not counting stoppage time) without conceding in the Copa Libertadores. |

| Táchira get a narrow 1-0 win over Pumas. UNAM's poor form continues, but I think they'll ultimately win in the home leg! |
