Would it be possible/reasonable to create two DataStores for a single game?

It is possible, yes.
Reasonable? Depends on what you're doing. |

Okay, say that I want to have two DataStores set up with the both of them saving tables. One would have stats like coins, level, etc; and the other could act as an inventory saving different item IDs.
Would that be reasonable, or should I save two entries to the same DataStore for each player?

Well, personally, I'd just do something like this:
local ds=game:GetService("DataStoreService"):GetDataStore("PlayerInformation") local valuesBeingSaved={ { 10; --coins? 20; --levels? }, { "1A"; --invslot1 "1B"; --invslot2 "1C"; --invslot3 } }
and save that one thing, so only 1 save
but that's me. |
