this has been a thing with me for a while now and i'm sick of it, i know there must be something i'm missing. I recently rendered an animation in 1920x1080 as an .avi After editing it in vegas I rendered it in 1080p as a .wmv however, it turned out looking like fuzzy garbage. So i tried re rendering as a .avi. This fixed the fuzziness problem, but instead replaced it with some VHS looking trash. Like it's literally like i added a TV effect. Please help.
What settings do you render in? (BTW I USED A DEFAULT 1080P RENDER SETTING IN VEGAS IF THAT CHANGES ANYTHING) and what can i do to fix it?

For sony vegas I use Internet 1920x1080-30p under Sony AVC/MVC. Not sure if that'll work for you but it seems fine with me

First off, did the video encoding looked like crap from recording or rendering?

Use .mp4 when rendering. Set the frame settings to 1920 by 1080 @ 60Hz
What should my siggy be? ☻ |

i had the same problem when i rendered my vids as .wmv. i was playing around with the render stuff and i found out mp4, in my opinion, is the best.

I have to compress it don't i? I'm editing the clips. Alrighty i'll try .mp4 - but usually the footage turns out a tad darker than the original. |

i'm failing so hard. This is what its looking like atm. Which is much better than what it used to be now that it's an mp4, but now theres this weird sharpness to it THAT I CAN'T REALLY EXPLAIN so just take a quick look please.

i really hope I didn't miss anything or oblivious to some sort of setting when rendering in max because dang that would be rough. |

Stop using presets and look into the details rather than just taking some randoms settings from YouTube.
You're clearly compressing the video so use an uncompressed format or if there isn't one available in Vegas move to Premiere and render in a customized template for YouTube.

first of all why the hell did you ignore squers and kasert's posts? they're the right answers
and mine works perfectly fine, you get to compress 34 gigs into 1 gig and still have a huge quality benefit |
