The only downfall in the open source world is the drivers
Proprietary NVIDIA/Catalyst drivers are available on Linux
That's the only proprietary driver I use.

"(Ignoring Windows user from now onwards)" 1) i use arch and dualboot with an ubuntu backup 2) this entire thread is stupid and cringy nobody is going to think you are cool because you use linux 3) your "windows sux" argument is biased and stereotypical wine is garbage and sadly cant do half of what windows can at this point but windows is for casuals amirite xDD |

@SAP
Had archlinux for many months
None of that has ever actually happened, also Xorg does not use Xorg.conf anymore. But it is required for additional options.

@TheJay
So true...
By the way, I've noticed how many users hate Ubuntu because it is "too simple". It's a distro that actually gets work done quickly, enabling daemons and modules automatically, already has some useful softwares, has a useful driver manager etc

Well for ubuntu can you help with this error
sudo apt-install wine Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package wine
another time it just said i installed broken packages
HS gave me this fix about wine:devel thingy and it didnt work either so the next answer from her was to stop using ubuntu
that was helpful.. |

I believe it is sudo apt-get install -f
I am not too sure since I am more acquainted with pacman than apt-get.
