Why don't you just run your own website doing the exact same thing as ROBLOX (while getting around the legal issues of actually doing so) where you can have all the TIX you want?
Compete with them if you're not happy. |

"as if it's that simple, lol"
it honestly is
grab a stanford graduate or two (they're plentiful) and make a crappy website with a physics major while ripping off the OGRE rendering engine and slapping an okay physics engine on top of it
give it a download button, and make 3 crappy games people can play and go from there
that is literally the formula that made ROBLOX
$6000 is probably all you need per month not expensive at all for a company + most of that is complying with wage laws.
you can run a kickstarter for mashed potatoes and make more money that that. |

this is what we call lawyers
No, actually, I already said just avoid patent infringement and you will be fine for the most part.
In full seriousness though, if you can't make something better than them, either don't complain or leave silently. Hence why we have no WoW Killer. |

yes Bloxcity
I have high hopes for Godfrey, but I also feel like he's going to Warlords of Draenor it because at the end of the day
who honestly likes to write code in python? I certainly don't, and no one I know honestly does. |

Not really, writing code in HTML5 is ridiculously easy. it's really just glorified XML but not really at the same time
for example we can do something like Hello, world! (except with the angle brackets because ROBLOX prevents us from using them because of the code tag presumably.) and have that as the first line in our website, and it works just fine.
The real problem is when you're playing with MySQL databases and dealing with how to accept anything regardless of content as an actual string, not whatever it pretends to be.
eg, let's say we have some insecure language with the user making an input, and we use []. They could make an input such as "]
while (true) { for (Object m : database mydatabase) { delete(); } }
["
and delete everything
obviously that's a made up language but still. |

"you know all the work and money you have to go through to make a website"
~$1200 - $2000 if you're frugal, enough to handle a tiny website. Not bad actually. Just run a kickstarter.
You're going to need an ISP willing to handle whatever traffic you're getting, generally $70/mo at the start,
You'll need SSDs because hard drives for servers are a terrible idea in the modern day, generally 6 of them will do. (most of the cost)
If you insist on being cheap, you can get hard drives for next to nothing but run the risk of failure.
Run it on a server-variant of Linux (absolutely free.)
Preferably have a GPU or a high-core server grade CPU handle all the calculations. (most of the other part of the cost.)
RAM is ultra cheap you're base website doesn't need more than 8GB that stuff is generally lying around everyone's basement if you want to buy DDR4 8GB RAM it's pretty cheap
the rest is spare PC components you either get used or re-used from older machines, usually next to free.
then you need a case and some other basic stuff and congratulations you have a crappy starter server you can use

it's literally as easy as building a PC
the only difference is that you're building things with server-grade gear and with the intent of NEVER, EVER failing at ANY COST.
and the operating system also needs to reflect that. (hence your server should never run Windows 7 or Windows 8, it should run Windows Server 2013 or Windows Server 2007 or some variation of GNU/Linux for servers which you compile yourself.)
