(Windows) Movie Maker is the current video editing software I use.
My problem is sometimes when I run the 'Play' button on (Windows) Movie Maker, it *mutes everything. Whether I close it or not, it keeps everything muted until I reboot my PC. Sound Troubleshooting does not help either, as it says it can not find the problem.
Is there a way to fix the sound muting without having to reboot my PC? And why does (Windows) Movie Maker cause this? Is there a way of preventing it?
*What I meant by muting everything, I mean it mutes all sound.
Thanks for reading, and have a nice day. :) |

@BartandBender858 Thank you very much, lad! I configured that, then wen't to test (Windows) Movie Maker. It made the *sound it usually does before muting, but it didn't mute! I am so grateful! Thank you! :D
*It would make a spark-like noise before it muted. (I did not include this in the original post.) |

| @Anikdote (Windows) Movie Maker is a default software program, or at least in my case it was, which allows you to edit MP4 and MP3 files like a movie. Or, at least that's how I use it. |

| Is there a program that I can use instead of WMM? I don't really want to have to go out and spend money on a new program. ;-; |

WMM is fine, just dont use the cancerous subtitles and start and end credits and stuff it just looks unprofessional if you want a good fairly cheap program I highly recommend Sony Movie Studio 13 on steam. its like $60 but damn is it good you can do WAY more than WMM

| Trying contacting either Microsoft or some Geek Squad Guy to help you; personally, I would try and see what is causing the problem and fix it or either reinstall the application but I am not sure if you can do that with Movie Maker? |

| @OnlyOneMaster I've already tried looking up solutions to my problem; however, it was for 'MP3' files not playing within WMM. :/ I tried to look further into my problem, but found nothing. ;-; |

| @Heniboy7 I've been using WMM a long time now, and I don't think I've ever seen 'blue bar things' over the text? Can you explain what it looks like/ how I can see it? |

Use sony vegas 13, camtasia studio 8, or adobe after effects. Windows movie maker is your problem. If you want a free editor then use Lightworks.
