Joining BoP can sound complex but is actually very easy going. This part of the guidelines goes through how a Citizen can make their way into BoP.
The BoP do a three stage system for people looking to join. The candidate must pass an Application, Tryout and a Background Check in order to be accepted. The application and tryout can be taken in any order, however the Background Check always comes last. The application can be found at the bottom of the page.
Once accepted into BoP, you still need to go through one more phase of training. When you've been accepted, you will be ranked 'Correctional Officer in Training'. A Correctional Officer in Training is only allowed on the BoP team at DC when a Prison Supervisor+ is also on the team. This is because they're not yet official Correctional Officers.
To become an official Correctional Officer, you must pass a certain training. These will be hosted by the Director or Deputy Director. These do not include obbies and combat, but they do include knowledge of the guidelines and the teaching of prison procedures. You will be given a maximum of five minutes to read the handbook before tested on it at the training. Failing this training will not result in exilation but you'll have to attend another. However if you fail three times, it will result in exilation.
I hope anyone looking to join BoP found this helpful.
