ok i'm seeing ur guy's reasoning
let me explain
you have to do PEMDAS
which means parenthesis first
48 /2(9+3)
since the 2 is next to the 9+3, it means multiply. Change it to
48/2x12
But, still following PEMDAS, you have to divide 48 and 2 first.
24x12
24 x 12 is gonna end up being
288

| A common technique for remembering the order of operations is the abbreviation "PEMDAS", which is turned into the phrase "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally". It stands for "Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, and Addition and Subtraction". This tells you the ranks of the operations: Parentheses outrank exponents, which outrank multiplication and division (but multiplication and division are at the same rank), and these two outrank addition and subtraction (which are together on the bottom rank). |

have you ever went to grade school, because if you did, you would know that they're the same priority.

if they're at the same rank then there would be mixed answers multiplication comes first

| then how come you get a different answer if you do multiplication and division differently if they are on the same level? |
