What is it? It's going around my school now and I'm still confused by it. OT is the only reason I know anything about popular culture and memes.

So it's a dance and communication method, similar to how bees dance to communicate the location of flowers?

It's like sneezing into your elbow, but also putting your other arm at a slanted angle pointing upwards Usually, people do it after someone has said "pipe it up". |

@ave i literally have no idea but people do it to me at school all the time so in order for them to back off i just "dab" when they tell me to pipe it up so then they go away.
according to urban dictionary it means to "turn up" |

I will explain it: (also how did the wisdom teeth removal go?) It's this move people used to do to snort Coke from their elbow while looking like they are sneezing. Alot of rappers picked it up, you know those idiotic thugs who think drugs are cool. Eventually, Cam Newton started using it whenever he scored in Football. So since people knew Cam Newton would be in the Super Bowl, they started doing that to show their support of him and his team.
atleast thats what i think |

But it's annoying when people tell me to "hit the dab" at school and I really don't want to make a fool of myself.

Please do not do that "dance" Why do people do these things? Do they think being just like everyone else makes them "cool"? From now on, I will reference them and treat them as one person. Like I will talk to one and complete the conversation with anoither person from now on they are One. |

You quite accurately described my experience (minus the God part). The uniqueness comes from the whole "special snowflake" culture, I think. Really it's a delusion of uniqueness. Wanting to be one of those success stories where the person was a loser in high school but a big shot in adulthood. I also think there is a line drawn in cultures of what is normal and what is weird, even in a culture that supposedly embraces uniqueness, hence the insults directed towards you.
Or something like that. What do I know?
