"part of the casing is broken" you'd know all right. those glass tubes are thick as hell, you'd need a hammer to break one. they're a vaccuum too, so it straight wouldn't work
dont forget that a microwave is a lot more dangerous if malfunctioning

you're fine derpy unless you threw yours out of a window, youre at no risk
but why are you using a CRT monitor? you can get a 23 inch flatscreen with hdmi input for like 50 bucks, even cheaper secondhand

i have a laptop, but i use a monitor.
i technically have 2 houses, at the 1st i have a normal monitor, but at the other i use a 10 year old tv, so i have to use CRT.

no, its impossible they'll never be true flatscreen the way that you have to arrange a tube in a CRT display prevents it you can get ones that are pretty close, but not true flatscreens
